Being offered for sale is this fine Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut& Burl Walnut Dining Table with 3 leaves circa 1875. This lovely 19th century table extends out to 10 ft 4 inches and could accommodate several more leaves but only three original leaves come with the table. All the original bras casters on intact on the feet. Base and center leg and this table has a solid walnut top, raised panels of burl walnut accenting the apron and a splendid carved base which also has raised burl panels and carved scrolls accenting each leg. This table measures 30 inches in height from the floor to the top.With a height from the bottom of the table apron to the floor of 25 1/2 inches. Without any leaves the table measures 48 inches across, with 1 leaf in place 48" by 60" with 2 leaves in place 48" by 72 inches, with all 3 leaves ... morein place 48" by 84" and this table weighs approximately 150 lbs total. This Victorian Dining table has a beautiful presence and is solid and tight. There is an area on the edge of the table about 2 inches long that looks like it has had a repair at some point in time. If he made it, good for him, you won't find a better one, if someone else made it, they are at least as good as jelliff if not better. anyway, this is the real deal, it is not cut down, it is not a reproduction. most tables listed as coffee tables are cut down from a taller table. coffee tables for real are quite rare in antiques, this particular one is extremely rare. i have never seen another like it. you will not find another one like it nor will you find a better one. it is fabulous, center crests on sides and ends, corinthian capitals on the top of the legs supporting the table top frame. the marble top is very intricate, also original to the piece and in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, etc. the marble alone today would cost at ... moreleast 1000.00 to have cut scalloped and molded. the table has many great features, the burl walnut in the several panels makes it extremely attractive. it is very solid and free of any visible damage or repairs, there is some crazing in the burl but that is to be expected on a table that is 150 years old. the only tweaking i can see on the table is that a couple of the glue blocks have been replaced. it is a large one being 42 inches wide, 29.5 inches deep, and 21 inches tall. again, you can not find this table anywhere, it is in a league of it's own and is of nearly museum quality. it has been in my bedroom in front of a belter sofa for some time now, however, i just acquired a wonderful john henry belter bedroom set which is taking up quite a lot of additional space and this particular table needs to go somewhere else, problem is i do not have any room for it anywhere else so i have decided to sell it. a very very nice table. you make pick it up at my home or it can be shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

Up for consideration is a very heavily carved Italian Renaissance Revival. Gothic Revival Library Table. The table dates from about the turn of the century. It measures 72" inches in length by 30 1/2 in wide by 30 1/2 inches tall. The table weighs well over 250 lbs. There are a variety of Masks and Mythological Beasts Cherubs all of which are carved. The table sports it's original varnish. On the legs there are Massive lion faces as well as Gargoyle faces on the end caps with smaller Winged Cherubs above that. It is solid oak with the exception of the skirt(which is veneered oak) The base pedestal is quite nice with detailed griffin carvings. The table is quite solid and strong. It was originally a normal height table that been shortened to a coffee table. The table does still have the expanding runners on the underside but there are no leaves.
