Drop center design. 3 marble tops(gray and white, beveled edge) Marble is in good shape, ever-so-slight stains. Has 4 smaller drawers at top, 2 large drawers at bottom, and a"secret" drawer at bottom base. Has Knapp joints on drawers(see close-up) Middle drawer sticks somewhat, but can probably be fixed. Exquisite wood carvings and raised burl walnut panels. Drawer pulls are wood carved leaf design. Candle shelves on each side of mirror. On casters. Solid and sturdy. Measures 86"H x 46-1/2"W x 19"D. Being presented for sale is this wonderful Victorian Walnut and Burl Walnut Tennessee Brown Marble Top Drop Center Dresser with a Fancy Carved High Crest circa 1875. This fine 19th century Victorian dresser offers beautiful raised panels of burl walnut on the mirror portion as well as on the drawer fronts. And the top of the mirror has a wonderful fancy carved high crest with carved fruit below at the center, flanked with raised panels of burl walnut and intricate carved rosettes accenting the top portion of the mirror. We believe this dresser to have its old original finish and the original casters on all four feet. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 90 inches. The dresser width measures 42 1/2 inches, dresser depth measures ... more19 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble sides measures 32 1/2 inches,height from the floor to the marble at the center measures 25 1/2 inches and this piece weighs approximately 155 lbs. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving. We believe the old wavy mirror to be original and it measures 35 1/2 inches high by 17 inches wide and is in fine antique condition with only some silver dusting that's age appropriate. The lovely brown beveled edge marble on the base is also original and is in wonderful antique condition. However the center marble(right side towards the back of the dresser) does show an old repair which I have shown a close-up shot of, repair appears tight and secure and very well done and not very noticeable at all unless close inspection. The dresser base offers two smaller drawers on each side above two larger drawers below( please note the sliver of wood missing on the stile between the two larger drawers) The drawers offer period ebony and brass teardrop pulls, early dove-tailed ends, and all the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have they key. This 19th century dresser measures 83 inches(6 ft 11 inches) in total height from the floor to the very top of the carved crest. This is a gorgeous solid black walnut with burl walnut applied trim Victorian age drop center dresser with a white and gray grain marble ... moretop that dates from the 1880s. It came in on a recent load. And was very clean. Someone probably refinished it a long time ago, and all we did was tighten it up, scuff it down and re-spray it to remove all the nicks and dings. It has a great look, a dark walnut stain finish, white and gray grain marble tops in really nice condition with minor stains and no cracks. It also has hand-cut dovetail drawers, big burl walnut panels on the front, and carved medallions in the center. It also has the old teardrop dresser knobs of ebony. The top of the dresser has what looks like the original mirror, along with the original candle shelves that was used to hold the oil lamps while gazing at your reflection. It also has all original carving and decoration on the back, and the top of the carved crest, the applied cutout carved trim, button medallions, applied burl panels and clamshell carved crest on top, all intact. Antique Victorian Drop Center Marble Top Dresser w/ Pivot Mirror
A very cute little dresser brought up from Georgia to the Asheville NC area 20 years ago. Judging from the style and the candle shelves on either side. Late 19th Century. Features the original marble. Clean and unbroken, the original antique mirror, all of the original drawer pulls of figured brass, and the original casters. Original finish- has not been stripped. Stands about 80 inches high and 16 inches deep- it is a smallish piece and stands nice and shallow out from the wall- perfect for a small guest room or an accent to a large room. I'm not certain. But the wood is probably walnut. The five drawers all work just fine and have unusual'round peg dovetailing' construction(shown above in a detail shot) The hardware is ALL original EXCEPT that the bolts that originally held the pivoting mirror have been replaced by heavy screws. ... moreWhich doesn't affect the look of it too much(and they could be fairly inexpensively restored with something vintage) The mirror section is removable to facilitate moving. A very handsome piece. With minimal scratches and wear. The hand-carved details are a bit on the rustic side and not terribly fussy or'polished' workmanship. Almost folk arty. It is a solid piece and nice and usable still, with a decidedly'country' feel to it. The piece is actually quite light once the drawers are pulled out for transport and is not too heavy to lift at all. I love the carved details and personality of the thing! I do not want to ship it if I can help it- would prefer local sale. We live in Mars Hill. North Carolina, just 20 minutes from Asheville and easy directions to find us. I can help move it as well. And I can show the piece in advance of sale- send a message. This bureau belonged to my grandmother. Unfortunately. I do not have space for it any longer. I believe this is"Victorian Eastlake" It is in very good original condition with original hardware. Sold as is. No one has painted, refinished or otherwise tampered with it. There was never a mirror from the time my grandmother acquired it. Local pick-up only! Dimensions are: 51 inches wide. 19 inches front to back and 33 inches at the tallest point. It is a large piece and heavy but the side sections with small drawers and the marble pieces come off for moving. Probably best to have a van or large-ish SUV to move it.

Fine Eastlake Victorian Chestnut & Walnut Drop Center Dresser
Up for auction is a Victorian drop center dresser. It is special in that it is made of American Chestnut. A species that was wiped out by chestnut blight- very few mature specimens exist today. The dresser is in good condition, with the exception of a small repair(pictured) and some dings from someone's overzealous hammer use. The original beveled mirror is in good shape with some streaking as expected for a 130+year old mirror. The dresser would be a great accent piece, or could be converted to a sink basin. Gently used Victorian-period furniture. Having burled walnut panel dove-tailed drawers with glass drawer pulls, and three original marble slab tops. Circa 1885-1890's. Two small square drawers at the top. And two large, long drawers below. The piece is on the original four casters(wheels) No mirror- not sure if it ever had one. You can use this as a dresser. Vanity table, or convert it to a bathroom sink/vanity/counter. If you were to do a sink, you'd need to take the drawer bottoms off and somehow keep the drawer fronts on. Also great for storing old linens, clothes, and textiles. CONDITION: Excellent condition ... morewith a few minor scrapes. Scuffs, or scratches on either/both the wood and/or marble- nothing major. As to be expected, it could use a light cleaning and a good polishing before use, if not just to show it some love. Drawers slide as they should. All four casters present, although one keeps popping out of its hole if you lift it too high off the ground. Glass knobs may or may not be the original hardware. The center top of the mirror is graced with a beautiful scrolled foliate crown with carved grape cluster center. This beautiful crown is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the gorgeous mirrored top which is adorned with elegant moulding. Many raised burled panels, rosette roundels, fancy leaf carved shoulders, four candle-stands(unusual as most Victorian ... moredressers only have two) and elegant pierced carved grape and leaf carved ornamentations on the sides. The entire mirrored top is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the very ornate white marble top base. The beautiful and removable white marble tops are beveled and in excellent condition for their age. From a functional standpoint. This gorgeous ornate Dresser base has a total of seven drawers(six visible& one hidden drawer on the bottom) all of which are dovetailed and six which are adorned with absolutely gorgeous burled walnut raised panels with intact locks and very fancy rosette and leaf carved drawer pulls. You will notice that there are generous raised burl panel accents on the sides of the drawers as well as down the front sides of the base. Monumental 19th century marble top drop center Princess dresser executed in rich walnut and burl walnut circa 1865. This Grand-Extra wide Victorian dresser offers a detailed carved prestigious crest, beautiful rosettes, and fabulous carved candle shelves that flank the mirror, and the original beveled edge marble. The unusual tall mirror at the low center marble allows this piece to be a phenomenal dressing mirror. All the locks are intact on the drawers but the key only locks the larger drawer at the base. Antique 1800's Victorian Walnut Drop Center Marble Top Dresser
Beautiful Antique Victorian Drop Center Dresser measures 89 inches tall(7 feet 5 inches) 46 inches wide and 18.5 inches deep. Floor to center marble top is 24" Floor to side marble top is 30" Shows normal wear for a piece that is over 100 years old. Missing left side thin wood trim about 2/3 way up(see picture) Center marble piece appears to be a replacement. Marble pieces and mirror remove for shipping. Small shelves(for candles? remove but can be glued upon final arrival. Pin cushions have pins in them! Pickup in Gardendale Alabama(near Birmingham) I will help load for shipment.
