The earlier timbers we refer to are specifically, the carcass, including the top and drawer fronts. The dresser boasts great craftsmanship including a very good quality one-piece moulded top. The front of the dresser features classing geometric mouldings to he drawer fronts along with inset side panels. The two large working drawers, which are hand dovetailed and pine lined, feature the Victorian brass drawer knobs. The dresser stands on the barley twist shaped legs with connecting stretchers to the back legs for added strength. The backboards, inset side panels and drawer linings are constructed of solid pine. This item features a mid-brown oak colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
