This is a lovely antique hinged desk/writing table with a wooden box pencil holder which was purchased from an estate. The desk measurements are as follows: 15” deep 14-3/4” wide 4-3/16” high The wooden pencil box measures 10-1/4” long 3” wide 1-1/4” high As far as I can tell the box has its original finish and is in excellent vintage condition. There is a small area on one of the edges side where about ½” finish has been lightly scraped but I imagine a little Old English would touch this up. Antique School Desk and Chair Adjustable Metal Legs Wood Top Kenney & Wolkins
Charming antique school desk and chair. Made by Kenney Bros. and Wolkins of Boston. MA, this set has nuts in the supports to allow for each piece to have its height adjusted. The legs of the desk and pedestal of the chair are black painted metal and have holes for securing them to the floor. The desk top and seat of the chair look like they are made of maple. The inside of the desk has been painted a soft green color and there is a hole in the desk top for holding an inkwell. This desk dates from sometime between 1902(when Kenney Bros. and Wolkins merged) and 1930, which is when the company changed its name and discontinued furniture making. The desk and chair are both in very good condition. Although these pieces were obviously put to their intended use. There is some wear to the surfaces, including marks on the desk top and edge and a gouge ... morenear the top of the desk. See pictures. It also looks like an industrous student carved their initials in the side of the desk. There is also some hairline separation to the seat of the chair at the back. Unsure if the height adjustment is functional- it has been many years since it was used and may need some TLC. Otherwise no damage or repairs. The desk top is 24" long and 18" wide and at its pictured height the desk stands 29" tall. The chair is 16" wide and has a seat that is 13 1/4" deep. It stands 30" tall at its current height. This listing offers the child's roll top desk. Since I'm uncertain of the age. I won't mislead anyone. I was told it was late 19th century, but again, please judge from the pictures. Antique Wood Desktop Secretary/Organizer/Mail and Letter Holder Has a wooden pull out drawer near bottom and nine slots to fill. Made of solid wood with brass fasteners and drawer pulls. Sits on four legs w/felt to protect your desk. Measures 12"H x 8-1/2"W x 13"L. Opens to 24" Very nice old patina to the piece. Looks to be handmade. Pockets are deep enough to hold most modern mail pieces. This is very old and does show wear and some discoloration. Still useable. Not sure of the wood- maybe oak. Some wear on right front door. Discolored stain area- from use or perhaps someone was going to strip and refinish it. Right door is a bit loose on the hinges and does not fit flush. This is one really cool piece of history! There are ink wells and pencil cutouts for seven people/employees. It is straight on one side and curved on the other side. See the pics as to how I squared it up on a trailer to best show the curvature. It is 138" long by 88" on the curved side. I am not certain if this was used as a school desk. This is just my assumption as other items at the auction that day had price tags on them as if they were from an antique store and the auction website made mention that they were selling some items from Jerome. There is a slight curve to the front to the drawer sides which adds a very nice flair. The top is solid wood, not veneer. It is in it’s original condition so there are scratches on the desktop due to normal everyday wear. There is a Decorative edge that has been added to the edge of the top that may not have been original. Beautiful Vintage/Antique Wood Student Desk
This is a beautiful vintage/ antique wooden student desk. I bought this years ago at an antique shop. My children loved to take turns sitting at this desk doing their homework or playing school. This is a very heavy wood desk. There are no stickers or tags on the desk showing the make or age of the desk. There is a drawer under the seat. In the drawer is a lip for pencils to sit in. It is a nice deep drawer and slides in and out very nicely. The surface of the desk actually raises to become a drawing type board desk. There is a very heavy duty metal mechanical unit that supports this movement. I think a piece may be missing that holds the desk surface upright. Antique Desk Small Multiple Drawers Wood Unknown Heavy Dovetail For Child ?
I've had this desk for a number of years but never used it. I bought it used and had intentions on using it in my guest room but the idea never materialized. I have no idea what kind of wood this is made of although it is quite heavy. I looked it over in hopes of finding a maker mark of sorts but couldn't find anything. It measures 42Lx20Wx29H. The original owner had lined all of the drawers with some stick-on protective covering that will come out with a little bit of effort. Some scratches and such are present but nothing that cannot be cleaned up with a little bit of time and effort. I unfortunately do not know much about this sort of thing so the pictures will have to speak for themselves. The sewing machine is not included. I just added it to the picture to give you a better idea of the size of this desk. I would venture to say ... morethat it would make a good children's desk. A wonderful antique post-office desk that has been in my family for 20 years(originally purchased in Texas) We're finally selling it to prepare for a move to the East Coast. The desk is 54" long by 35" wide by 71" tall. It's solid and very sturdy. The cubbies are detachable from the main desk(so not too bad to move) There is wear consistent with its original use and age. Beatiful Antique Eastlake Style Mahogony and Natural Wood Roll Top Desk
Up for sale is a turn of the century Eastlake style roll top desk in solid condition. It comes from an Estate in the state of Maine. The gentleman from where it came said he paid over $1000. He claims that it is in all original condition. It is very solid and there are a few spots of wear and abrasions from use due to age. But no major damage. Vintage Wood(Mahogany or Cherry? Kidney Shaped Desk with Leather Inlay and stenciling and drawers. This desk measures 72" long x 35" deep x 31" high. Beautiful piece in good condition. Not sure of it's origins and can't find markings on the drawers, not even sure what wood it is but it is solid and extremely heavy. We cleaned it up but it does have some scuff marks on it still.
