Here is a fascinating antique or vintage glass block which was salvaged from somewhere. This is about 7 3/4 inches squared with depth of about 3 7/8 inches. You can see that this has some cement or adhesive or something on the some of the sides. I did gently scrub this is the kitchen sink more to get the dust off. But I would think someone could figure out how to clean this up better if they want. Just for giggles, I will tell you that this did float in the sink so this is apparently sealed up. Maybe someone has a place for this or an arts or crafts person can be creative. I guess I have seen people turn these into lamps or lights. There are some scratches on each side, little wear, but what a fascinating item for someone. The pests will be attracted by the sweet stuff, and they fly up into the trap but they don't fly out(as long as you leave the lid on) because the interior of the trap confuses them. 7 Vintage Tempered Glass Shower Panels, Doors Etc 1970's Textured Design
For your consideration are the following vintage shower panels. Doors, etc. We found a date on one of them that was in the 1970's so we are dating all of them from that era. We originally thought they were older than that before we found a date. It also said tempered glass. So since one panel is marked tempered and they are all of same style we have no doubt they are all tempered. They look like panels from a bathroom shower but are thick and could probably even be used as tables tops or for other creative purposes, but we will have to let the experts decide for sure. there is no doubt in our opinion this glass is not cheap and specially made. First Picture: Each measure approximately 52-1/2" x 29" Unpacked weight is approximately 21 pounds each. Second Picture: This is the one piece that was marked. Up for auction is a group of six(6) vintage counter tops generally described as follows. These tops were salvaged in the 1940-1950's from a local bakery shop before the building and its contents were demolished in Lebanon. Pa. Each of the tops are made from heavy duty and thick"white" milk glass. These were utilized as counter tops during the preparation and making of bakery products in the bake shop. Generally four of the pieces are in very good condition. The top sides are scratch free but retain surface dirt from long term storage. The bottoms are dark and stained from years of use as counters on top of cabinets. There is some chipping and edge fracturing present on the four main pieces from long term storage and moving from one storage location to another. As seen.
