Antique Victorian Wooden Corbel 1800's
Corbel measure 5.25" W x 9" D x 13.25" H The original finial got removed from this corbel long before i acquired the house that it came from. I replaced it with a new finial of a similar size. I did not glue the finial in place because you might want to strip the corbel first. Or choose not to use it at all. There is a strip of wood missing from the front trim piece, exposing the old square nails used for attaching the trim to the corbel.

Shelf size is 8.5" W X 4.5"Deep approx. From Bottom of Finial to Top is 8" approx. Vintage Antique Excellent condition EXCEPT ON ONE THERE IS A LARGE CHIP and a small crack- BUT IT IS NOT VISIBLE. THE DAMAGED PART LAYS AGAINST THE WALL and does NOT DETRACT AT ALL OR IMPEDE USABILITY. There are some other minor chips on the back of the shelf and on the front of the corbel, some minor paint nicks on the finials, wearing of gild on finials, and Patina on both finials. 2 antique wooden corbels. Very rustic looking. We have done nothing to them and are offering as is. They were found in a warehouse in Pensacola. Florida and appear to be quite old. Each corbel is approx 47 1/2 inches × 19 inches. They are about 3 inches wide. They weigh approx 18 lbs. each. One corbel is missing a portion of the interior decorative wood, please see pictures. A wonderful pair of matching antique wooden Victorian corbels. Or gingerbread as some call it. These were salvaged from New Bedford, Massachusetts. These have original paint and patina. They measure approximately 15 1/2" x 12" and are 2 1/4" thick. One has a little damage to the top. Which any carpenter or woodworker can round off, do the same to the other, and make them both match exactly. OVERHANG BRACKETS, ROOF BRACKETS, EAVE SUPPORTS FROM RAILROAD DEPOT
All the overhang brackets and what is left of the gable end brackets from a 1910 rail road depot. I de-assembled this depot in 2008. It was located in Highland Ks. It originally was a St. Joe& Grand Island depot later to become a Union Pacific depot. I am publishing a few pictures of the depot before I started. As you can see some of the gable end bracketry is missing. There should be enough left to reconstruct or rebuild depending on your use. Most of the paint has worn off from setting outside. The roof pitch was 8/12. In other words for every 12 inches of run it rose 8 inches. As you can see in pictures most of the brackets are about 5 foot X 4 foot. The longest boards are a little more than 8 foot. You will be getting all the brackets that were on the depot. Years ago we built a house using a similar bracket. Antique Martha's Vineyard Architectural Carpenter Gothic Wood Corbel Gingerbread
A wonderful antique wooden Carpenter Gothic corbel. Or gingerbread as some call it. This were salvaged from underneath a cottage that was built in 1866 in the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association, Oak Bluffs, on Martha's Vineyard island, Massachusetts. This has original natural patina. It does not have coats and coats of paint on it- some drops and remnants of"Methodist green" paint here and there. This measures approximately 19" x 10 1/4" and are 1 3/4" thick. It has a little damage to the bottom drop. Which any carpenter or woodworker can round off. See all photos. Great pair corner corbels from a 1880's Victorian style home in Davenport. NY a small town in upstate NY. They came off the front corners at the gable ends. They will have small splits, chips, and cracks. They still retain there original white paint. They have a great sunburst pattern accented by ball finials. It is in good condition with minor wear commensurate with age including some chips to the foliate ornamentation at the top, shallow flaking to the tip of the nose, and minor side chips.
