These impressive and dramatic jars have a rooster or cock motif to the enamel decoration; the handles also have a bird theme. These have a striking color palette of black with shades of red, orange, and yellowish-tan with minor white areas. These have gilded metal areas. Each jar stands about 9 inches tall, with a maximum diameter of approximately 8 3/4 inches. Unpacked, the set weighs just under 8 1/2 pounds. These jars would be a fine addition to a collection of vintage Asian decorative arts. Identification These jars are Chinese. They are vintage. But the exact age is not known. They are unmarked. Condition The jars looks very good overall. With light wear. The underside of one lid has a minor, circular flaw, as made(as shown) The metal areas have minor finish wear and some tarnishing. The handles have small areas of minor darkening; there are some tiny holes in the handles that appear to be as made. Likely as made, there are a few minor pits/ flaws to the blue enamel inside the jars, just below the gilt rims(example shown) this only shows under close inspection when the lids are off. A tiny, scattered pit to the enamel, here or there, is as made. Beneath one jar, the blue enamel has some whitish streaks, as shown. Hand decorated under glaze in deep blue on milky white. The saucers show an ornate design of elaborate flower patterns, alternating landscapes, in ten reserves, surrounding a circular flower pattern, within a continuous border. The backs of the plates are decorated with foliage and marked with a single symbol mark within concentric circles. The tea bowls have a near matching decoration. All five bowls are marked with a Kangxi four character mark. They all have a flower decoration on the inside base and floral and landscape patterns on the outside, divided in reserves. There is some variety in the decoration of the items. As visible on the pictures. However, decoration varieties are often found on groups of Chinese export ware. The condition of the items is very good. Three saucers are perfect or near perfect, having some very small rim chips/frittings. One saucer has a rim chip, associated with a very faint and short rim hairline. One saucer has a rim repair(see picture) The bowls all have small frittings/minor rim chips; four have a faint rim hairline, hardly visible with the naked eye. Please view the pictures, which give a good impression of the wonderful quality and the condition of the objects. This group displays very nicely These antique cups and saucers were made in China in the end of the 18th or beginning of the 19th century. C. 1800. Although this type of tea ware was widely produced during the 18th century QianLong period, this could perhaps be dated slightly later. It is difficult to date these objects exactly, because certain popular patterns were produced during a long period, due to permanent demand from Europe. An elegant vintage chamber pot. It is not marked and I don't know the name of the pattern. Maybe a bidder has some information. It is approx 5 3/4" h. and has a very decorative handle. The top and bottom bands are done in white embossed pattern and accented with gold. The middle area is a matte light green background and light black outlines to form the overall pattern. There is a small bit of wear on the gold tirm, very minor. When you view the bottom are crack lines but when you look inside you can only see a few very slight lines. The item is very sturdy. Please make sure you use the zoom feature to view the detail on this item. As viewed in the picture I have placed the entire set together. The top portion does come off. On the top of the urinal. There is another piece that inserts into the hurricane. This item has been broken off but to an exact break which I still have the piece. This item is hidden under the top pot in the first picture. This item is also very costly to ship due to the weight of this item. I have now received the go ahead from USPS to allow shipment of this item due to the value. A beige ceramic chamber pot/thunder mug. It was not a top of the line because the ceramics does not have the smoothest finish and the glaze was not applied evenly. Antique 19th Century Decorated Porcelain Chamber Pot with Lid
Antique Porcelain 19th Century Commode From the estate of a collector. This is a nicely decorated porcelain chamber pot with a lid. White glaze with yellow, there is a nice old crackle finish on the glaze. The lid has a beaded and scalloped edge with a fancy applied handle. The bottom sits on a pedestal form that also has a scalloped base, and there is a handle in the back. No chips or cracks, in very nice antique condition. It is marked on the bottom in blue writing, but I am not sure of the name. Maybe someone out there is familiar with the marking. Chamber pot measures 8" across the top opening. 11" across with the back handle, and is about 7" tall to the top of the handle lid. Very nice. Pretty, antique Chamber Pot. If you collect antique enamelware. You'll never find a chamber pot in better condition! This was purchased at the estate sale of a small town Doctor who delivered several generations of babies. This may have been a demonstration model for his young mothers although his own family was quite large. This is small and very charming so perhaps this is meant for a doll instead of a child.you be the judge. It measures 6 1/2" across including the handle and stands 3 1/4" high. The bottom diameter is 4 1/2" There is absolutely no sign of use or damage of any kind. This appears to be a Bush of Bristol Pewter chamber pot. Possibly produced for the American Colonies. Mr. Bush would produce pewter pieces for distribution in the colonies and would over state the quality of his pewter. I have not been able to verify this information. I am simply going by the Hallmarks. This is a beautiful piece.

This interesting little bowl is not for soup. It is a child's chamber pot(a potty) It is 5.75 inches in diameter across the top and just over 3 inches tall. Presumably this is for a boy because it has light blue piping around the rim. The bottom is stamped"KRUEGER. N.Y. REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MADE IN THE U.S.A. The pot seems to be made of tin that is coated in Porcelain or enamel. There is rust around the rim. Around the edges and seem of the handle, and there are several other rust spots on the outside and inside. Pottery Stoneware Chamber Pot Slop Bucket Metal Bale Wooden Handle
This is a vintage pottery or stoneware chamber pot or more accurately slop bucket. It measures. Not including the handle, 9" tall by about 9 1/4" in diameter across the top. This is made of a heavy pottery substance and the unglazed bottom rim looks like a crockery material. It has an overall pattern molded into the body of the bucket but there are the customary flaws as was common in common everyday pieces. There are a couple of stress lines that seem to affect the glaze only on the outside in photo two you can see the worst one. There is also one in the outside bottom and a small one inside. These lines DO NOT CARRY THROUGH to the opposing side of the pottery piece. There are also excess clumps of clay in the design that have been glazed over and small bubbles that have popped in the glaze during the firing process. Please zoom ... morein and look at all the photos closely. It also has some major chips around one handle on the outside"ear" that holds the wire in place, see photo 5. The wire handle is still intact and functioning so it really hasn't created a major problem. The handle is wooden and has been painted black and has lots of wear to the paint from everyday use. The outside rim of the pot also has some of the glaze rubbed off from the wire rubbing against it. It has no other chips, cracks, crazing or stains. Pottery Stoneware Porcelain Chamber Pot with Lid Marked Virginia
This is a vintage pottery. Porcelain or stoneware chamber pot with lid. It measures, not including the lid, 5 1/2" tall by about 8 1/4" in diameter across the top and 10" overall at the longest point including the handle. This is made of a heavy pottery substance and the unglazed bottom rim is white like porcelain material. It has an overall pattern molded around the lower part of the pot of a sort of interlocking scallop. The lid has acanthus leaves around the rim edge and the same interlocking scallop design as the lower part of the pot. The handle is molded to look and feel almost like a bent stick or tree limb. There are some small bubbles that have popped in the glaze during the firing process, see photo 7. There are also visible stilt marks on the inside of the chamber pot from the stilts used in the kiln to keep it off ... morethe bottom of the kiln. There is overall tight crazing. There is one deep cut near the rim. This does not go through to the inside, see photo 6 and a drop of white paint to the upper left of that in the same photo. There is a black touch mark under the clear glaze on the outside of the pot where someone had a smudge on a finger touched it and then put it in the kiln. It is inside the outer handle. It is signed in sepia colored paint"Virginia" on the underside bottom. I date this from the early 1800's to 1899 because of the mark being signed only"VIRGINIA" and could possibly date to the civil war period. Please zoom in and look at all the photos closely. The underside of the lid rim has an excess piece of clay that is glazed over and fired on. See photos 9& 10. The pottie itself measures 5 inches deep with the lid. With lid on measures approximately 8 7/8" high. Measures 8 7/8" across top rim. I found this at an estate sale. The lady had a plant in the pot on a nice table and the lid hung above it on the wall. Really was a neat way to display. Some royal hiny sat on this as it is so unique. Please note the handle has a head on it. The logo on the bottom is Laughlin and an eagle and lion figure on top of the name. It does have a hairline crack on exterior. Neat Item! Admiral V.P. OO. Chamber Pot with Lid. This is the Larger Chamber Pot. It stands 9 1/2" tall with out the lid and approx. 1 foot tall with the lid. These measurements are without metal handle. The Overall Weight is Approx. 8 1/2 lbs. There is a 1" x 1/4" chip out of the lip of the pot. Also noted that in direct sunlight the lid appears to be a lighter white than the base. The lid also sits loosely in the base. Base is 5 1/4" and pot is 3 3/4" deep inside. Beautiful display item. Has a large factory mark on the bottom which has a lion on the left. A unicorn on the right and a small figure of a lion on the very top. The lettering is too blurred for me to make it out. V ery beautiful ANTIQUE IRONSTONE CHAMBER POT. It could be a child's potty because of the smaller size. With two rows of lovely scalloped design and semi-ornate handle, this is a wonderful display item. This piece is very old probably from the very late 1800’s, very early 1900’s, it has overall glazing/grazing which confirms its extreme age and adds to its stunning antiquated appearance that collector’s seek. This fine chamber pot measures approx. 5-1/8" high, approx. 5” deep, 9” across the top of the chamber pot, the base measures 5-1/4” across. Resembles the high quality of Johnson Brothers but no maker's mark. This piece is in very good condition. Vintage 1950s era white porcelain enamelware bed pan urinal. Measures 16 inches long. 13 inches wide and 6 inches tall at the top of the urinal spout. This vintage bedpan is in good condition with just one spot of finish loss on the upper rim. This dates from late 1800's to 1900. Homer Laughlin Eagle Lion Seal. The pottie itself measures 5 inches deep with the lid. With lid on measures approximately 8 7/8" high. Measures 8 7/8" across top rim. I found this at an estate sale. The lady had a plant in the pot on a nice table and the lid hung above it on the wall. Really was a neat way to display. Some royal hiny sat on this as it is so unique. Please note the handle has a head on it. The logo on the bottom is Laughlin and an eagle and lion figure on top of the name. It does have a hairline crack on exterior. Please not photo#4, but does not go all the way through it. It does have mega crazing and a brown stain that is on inside and outside of china bottom. I'm selling this old ironstone chamber pot by J. Wedgwood in the popular fig design. There is no lid. The chamber pot is 5 1/4" tall and 8 1/8" across the top. And is marked as shown. The English registry mark dates this piece to November 27, 1856. There is a crack. Approx 8 inches, running along the diameter of the base which is visible on the interior and exterior. This crack is contained(does not extend to an edge) and has darkened significantly with no new spreading, meaning it has stabilized and is not extending further. There isn't any major structural issue here, although you may want to use a liner underneath if you intend to use it as a planter.
