Incredible Vintage Antique Solid Wood Handcarved Corbel Birds Intricate Ornate
Here is an incredible vintage/antique solid wood handcarved corbel with some very intricate and ornate detail. There are various types of birds that are carved within the detail of this corbel. Along with many other designs. The corbel is quite large and stands about 27" tall. It is about 11" at its widest, and 4- 5" deep. The corbel is mounted on a very heavy steel base and does lift off the base. The base measures about 11 1/2 by 12" and weighs about 20 lbs. The wood carving itself weighs around 16 lbs. This is just a really beautiful and unique piece. I have not seen any like it listed on ebay. I don't know the actual age of this item, only that it shows signs of age. This stunning solid 800 silver cherub purse and it's stamped"800" on the rim of the clasp. It has a beautifully knit exterior and satin interior lining are in excellent condition. As is the silver featuring full-figural putti, most playing instruments, along with beautiful floral and leaf designs. Gorgeous ornate decorative brackets that came from a home that was built in the 70's. They are made out of some kind of metal possibly aluminum but sturdy like cast iron. Color is antique white. There is a big A with 3 other letters in a circle. One has the number 1 and 12R on it and the other has a 2 and a 12R. I was planning on using these on my front porch but went with a totally different design scheme. Here you have six corbels that were handmade and found at an estate sale. They are made of wood. A soft wood, not sure what kind. They would need a good coating of stain/primer and painted. or leave unfinished. I really love the design on these, a really nice pattern. It would look great for shelving but would need some material to fatten them up a little. Up for bids is this set of decorative brackets taken from a vestibule of a building over 150 years old. It was attached to the eave. It will have to be taken apart to ship. RARE Carver Signed Antique Oak Winged Cherub Corbel Clock Shelf. English
RARE Oak Winged Cherub Corbel Clock Shelf. Signed By Carver Offered is a genuine antique hand carved solid oak wood corbel/clock shelf signed by the artist J Mathews of Grantham England. This is the exquisite piece that so many more modern corbels are replicating but this is the REAL THING. Even more rare is the piece is signed by the maker which qualifies this as a true museum piece. Corbel measures 11in. tall. 12.5in. wing to wing and 7in. deep weighing approx. 6lbs. Condition is excellent for its age having no repairs still retaining a deep rich patina gained over the past 300+ years, though there are minor expected issues such as minor chipping and a stable age crack in the right wing. There really is no comparable example on ebay or anywhere else making for a very rare addition to your collection adding extreme elegance to any decor.
