EASTLAKE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CARVED QUARTERSAWN OAK SIDEBOARD CABINET CUPBOARD
This sideboard was made around the time that Eastlake pieces had started to be constructed using oak vs walnut in America and when Eastlake was becoming less popular and Art Nouveau was the"in" thing.around the 1880's through the 1890's. So this solid quartersawn oak sideboard has the best of both worlds. The base has two drawers and two doors with lots of storage space inside. The doors are paneled and have very cool shell and foliage carvings. The hardware on the drawers and doors is original and there are two different keys which will lock and unlock each door. Besides the carved paneled doors. The other interesting carving on this piece is kind of a feathered or herringbone type carving. The top of the base is clean and in very good antique used condition.no major issues. The top has a shaped original beveled mirror ... moreand panels on each side and carving above those. The support columns are really nice turned columns with lots of detail and turnings. The very top is an Art Nouveau style crest. This sideboard will break down into five pieces.the base. The top, the crest, and the two turned columns so easy for transport. This is an elegant federal mahogany game table circa 1880. This is an example of less is best with the simple elegant grace of the minimal but effective corner carvings. Slender but sutible pedestal, and classic carved paw feet. The table has an beautiful crotched mahogany veneer apron on three sides. The back is not veneered. The table is a good size that measures 35 3/4" wide, 17 3/8" deep, and 28 5/8" tall when closed. When open the top is 34 1/4" x 35 3/4" There is an age appropriate split in the base of the table but the base is a 2 3/4" solid piece of wood and the crack is only a surface crack. Being offered for sale is this wonderful American Classic Empire Flame Mahogany Petticoat Pier Table circa 1840. This fine 19th century table measures 36 1/2 in height. 35 1/2 inches wide, 16 1/4 inches in depth(front to back on the top) and weighs approximately 65 pounds. We believe this table to have it’s original finish and has all of the time-worn character that one would expect from of pieces from this era. The lovely large solid mahogany table top provides beautiful display possibilities and rests on a conforming serpentine flamed mahogany apron.A scalloped flame mahogany valance is found beneath the apron just above the original mirror. Substantial flame mahogany scrolled legs with applied roundels at the base connect the lovely large table top to the stepped flame mahogany base which rests on scroll carved legs with the original casters ... moreintact on all four feet. Additional display opportunity is found on the square plateau located in front of the original mirror just above the elegant stepped base. This 19th century pier/petticoat table does have its original mirror which shows some silver loss spots and cloudiness as commonly seen in mirrors from this period. The top surface does show wear to the finish and surface marks and scratches from years of use. The base sides do have some minor veneer chipping nothing major in my opinion but just thought I would mention it. These 19th century tables were referred to as Petticoat Tables because the ladies would use the mirror to check the hem of their dresses to make sure that their petticoats were not being exposed. The classical lines of this table make it a piece that is easily incorporated into any decor and would be a wonderful foyer/ hall table. Stately and strong. This gorgeous Victorian side table is the perfect period piece to add to any decor. Constructed of dark wood with a veneer top, the sides and bottom of this table are quite nice. They are comprised of well cut, scrollwork featuring a repeating fleur de lys motif. There are also spindle accents on the underside of each of the four corners of the surface. Be sure to add me to your! This elegant VICTORIAN PARLOUR TABLE is of dark. Rich walnut and has walnut burl medallions and accent pieces on the base and legs and around the decorative skirt of the top. It has four legs and a turned center post which goes all the way to the table top. The walnut has a fine patina. The table top is actually octagonal due to the corners. This is fine craftsmanship. It measures 30 X 22 inches. And stands 38 inches high. English Regency Period Mahogany Breakfast Dining Table, Antique circa 1800-25

Description: This listing is for an English Regency Period Tilting Mahogany Breakfast Table. C. 1800-25. It features an incredible dark mahogany top of extremely wide proportions, using two boards to span the total depth of 36 1/4" the first board is 31 1/4" wide, the second 5" To simply imagine how large the tree used to make this board would have been is astounding, and to capture the most beautiful compact grains as found in this board is admirable. The surface is heavily polished over an early finish, both with a wonderful original patina throughout. The edge of the table top is reeded, completing the design of the top with clean lines. It is a tilting top, allowing it to be stored easily, usually in the corner ... moreof a room in a way that is visually delightful, the third leg pointing into the corner with the board facing the room. A stretched frame beneath the table forms a box of the crossbars, locking together using through-tenon joinery. Original screws lock this undisturbed frame to the underside of the table, holding the wooden dowels from the pedestal inside for a smooth rotation. Original undisturbed brass catch hardware remains functional beneath the table to lock the table in a rested position. The base of the pedestal is oak over pine, with the pedestal tenoned through both, the front with a pair of original brass receivers with what appear to be original screws. A wonderful turned pedestal of solid mahogany is designed with a short shaft over three tight turned rings over baluster turnings before flowing into sabre-legs. Each leg is capped with brass hardware, each with original screws over large original caster wheels. The legs of the table are locked in place with a Y bracket, flowing along each leg and into the center to give a high pressure joint flawless strength even 200 years after introduction. ANTIQUE GOTHIC TWIG ROSEBUSH ROOT SIDE TABLE Offered here is this antique Gothic Root/Twig Table with wooden table top. Very unusual Victorian era(late 1800's) piece. The base of the table appears to be made of the roots of a rosebush as there are several scars to the wood where the thorns were removed(see pictures) This piece is one of the better made and most interesting that we have ever come across from this genre. This type of furniture was made during an era when American artists wanted to return their craft back to more organic. Naturally made pieces. A lot of creative thought went into the creation of this table. In the pictures taken, some were taken outside in the bright light and some were taken inside. The table is much darker when in a room that is lit by lamplight. CONDITION; Good condition with all parts original to the ... morepiece. The top of the table has a few ring marks on it(see pictures) and scratches. The rosebush base has some twig pieces that have broken off over the years. The tables' rooted feet have shrunk or shifted a bit. So to make the table level, you may have to put a small round furniture pad under one of the rooted feet to prevent any imbalance. The table has several small, white paint drips on the base and sides of the top. WEIGHTS& MEASUREMENTS; The table measures approximately 28" tall. The wooden tabletop measures 20" wide and 14" long. The base of the table measures 22" wide from one rooted foot to the opposite rooted foot. The base measures 24 3/4" long from the front rooted foot to the back rooted foot. The table is surprisingly light and easy to move. It weighs approximately 15 to 20 lbs. MARKINGS; The table is unsigned and there are no other types of identifiable marks anywhere on the base. This is walnut victorian marble turtle top table circa 1880. It has the original finish and original white marble. The table is the perfect size table to use in a hall or other small area where a lamp is needed. With the wall flush design it will fit nicely in a tight spot. The table weasures 34" wide at the back. 26" wide at the front, 16 3/4" deep at the center of the marble, and 28 1/4" tall to the top of the marble. The table sits on 4 brass rollers. Both the front and back legs are nicely carved as are the 4 stretchers and apron. At the center of the stretcher there is a finial on the top and bottom. On the apron front is a carved acorn. The original finish has some spots that have alligator but I like to keep the original finish when ever possible. Antique small oak tavern table. Beautiful dark finish and aged appearance. Arcade carving around the table skirt and turned legs in the vase-ring-and-bulb design. Carving looks hand done. Overhanging. Molded-edge top lifts on steel H hinges and reveals a storage space in place of the typical drawer. Legs are slightly splayed and connected by stretchers with a slight vertical curve. Unsure of the table's exact age, but based on the carving, splayed legs and hinges I would guess it dates from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It probably comes from America or Northern Europe. Overall. The table is very good condition. There is some wear to the finish around the edges of the top and the feet. for auction is just about the best quality antique quartersawn oak dining table that you will find in it's price range. i have some tables that are from 8600 to 25.000.00, but they are horner or roux, meeks, belter, and the like. but for a table of it's class, they do not come much better. i listed it as hastings or better. i do not know the maker, but i can assure you that hastings never made one of this class in a finer fashion. it could be hastings, if not, it is as good or better. it is solid quartersawn oak, has a great form split pedestal with a hidden center support leg. it has a very very nice and very thick contoured skirt that is attached by screws and metal supports that slid into a groove on the table skirt. the top of the skirt has a molded edge which adds that special touch. the feet are fluted to match the great fluted ... morepedestal. anyway, a wonderful table to say the least. it is 52 inches wide and just at 30 inches tall. it has roller bearing original to the the table and center leg as opposed to casters. it opens up to enable an eight foot dining table. there are no leaves for the table. i am sure there were some at some point in time, but when i bought it,none were included. i can make some quartersawn leaves for my cost should anyone have an interest in that. again a great table. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. good luck.

This is an Antique Cherry Wood Drop Leaf Table with a solid board Cherry top. The table is in nice condition for it's age and has beautiful wood. A couple of imperfections can be seen in the last two pictures. ALEXANDER ROUX ROSEWOOD TABLE NR
Up for auction is an Alexander Roux rosewood table. It is circa 1860. The table has a marble top beveled on three sides. The table has one drawer and a turned stretcher between the legs. The legs are hand carved rosewood. Inside the drawer is a stamp which says“from A. ROUX FRENCH CABINET MAKER Nos. 479& 481 Broadway. NEW YORK” The dimensions are 21 ½ inches deep. 40 inches wide and 28 inches high. The table is in good shape with no breaks or repairs. The marble is in good shape but with minor scuffs and some minor stains, no breaks. The buyer will be responsible for the shipping.

antique empire claw feet dual pedestal mahogany library table partner's desk
for auction a wonderful antique empire mahogany huge library table or partner's desk. it is 60 inches wide. 36 inches deep, and 30 inches tall. it has a full length drawers on both sides but they are of course on opposite sides. this is just a great piece. the double pedestal is so well carved and the feet are magnificent. it also has great carved corners. i took these pictures about dark so they lack a good bit quality wise, but maybe you can ascertain the quality and beauty of this table. it could have been made by thomas day, i am not sure who the maker, but whoever it was, the table is great. the feet are just the best i have ever seen. as you can see, there is a carved bundle of leaves and other items that come over the top of the stretcher and rest there. great piece. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's ... moreexpense. i can help arrange shipping should that be beneficial to anyone. good luck. ps. i paid a bundle for it some time ago and am just trying to get the investment back. i just took a look at the pictures, they are a bit dark and i pulled it out of the basement as i have room in the house for it and proceeded to dust it off with liquid gold. i see that i forgot to dust the stretcher. anyway, a good cleaning would do it good.

You are viewing an antique parlor table that has been cut down to approximately 21" in height. It has a 12" square shelf stretcher and a 16" top. There is a VERY slight wobble in the legs from the cut-down but not so much that the table is unstable. Wobble is basically not noticeable on a carpeted floor. antique 19th cenutry? UNUSUAL cherry Dbl Candle Stick Narrow Tray w/lidded box
this little beauty is un-identified so far it is a very odd size and shape but it's beautifully made and the wood. Cherry i believe, shows tremendous depth and warmth from many years of dusting and polishing and use the piece measures approximately 3 feet wide and just about 3 feet tall to the top of the candle sticks the candle stick cups are bronze and were held in place with a peg which was replaced with a long screw at some point that simply drops into the peg's place but doesn't turn in entire piece is dove tailed see the corners of the rounded edges and you'll find it's tremendously thoughtful attention to the detail work here each end of the central tray is a small hing lidded box that is hinged with a pin on either side into the tray table body itself one corner of one box area has chipped and released the pin ... morethat holds lid in place i have not repaired or replaced it because i feel it's better to have it original and it doesn't change esthetic of the item you may choose to do so but it's really a tiny repair. the tray itself is just gorgeous it would very nicely hold a grouping of potted plants near a window or behind a couch or would equally nicely be a great accent in a small space with a vancant wall it would be a great piece to have nice artwork hung above and would be the perfect hall table. i'm not offering shipping on this item it is PayPal and Pick up from my New York City Location if you're not in NYC and want to purchase this i'm happy to work with you after payment is received on having your piece packed and shipped at your expense please contact me directly with any questions and i will gladly consider all reasonable offers thank you
