Antique Pitcher Maddocks Royal Porcelain Trenton NJ USA Flow Blue Delft 11" Tall
Orkney Collectibles presents: Maddock Pottery Trenton NJ USA Flow Blue Delft Pitcher We are pleased to offer this lovely Maddock Pottery Company Royal Porcelain Blue Transferware Pitcher manufactured at the Lamberton Works of Trenton. New Jersey, America. The company was owned by Thomas Maddock& Sons, Moses Collear, C.A. May and Thomas P. Donoher. This beautiful pitcher features a Delft Dutch water scene in Holland with windmills and sailboats. Vintage antique Maddocks porcelain large pitcher with a nice grey blue and white Dutch and sailing vessel design. Reads: MADDOCKS WORKS LAMBERTON ROYAL PORCELAIN. Measures approx. 11 1/2" at its tallest. And 9" in diameter at the base. No chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing and I would consider it in good condition for its age. Has some staining on the inside that you can see as it has ... morenot been cleaned and had dirt in it. A great display piece- there is no apparent repairs or cracks evident AS IS condition. However, no apparent crazing, dirt inside, some use evident Here for your perusal is this Wonderful Porcelain Water Pitcher It would have once been part of a set. There would have been a large bowl to hold the water for the washing of the face and hands. There might have been a soap dish. It was made by the Maddocks Lamberton Works out of Trenton. New Jersey. It was called Royal Porcelain. Based on the back stamp on the base. The Pitcher possibly would have been made between 1892 and 1924. Based on the nature of its usage, it was mostly on the earlier side. This pitcher is huge. At least as pitchers go. The approximate circumference of the body is 25 inches. Its tallest point is 11 inches at the spout. It weighs in at over 4 pounds. It is embellished with grey blue and white detailing. My guess is of a charming Dutch village and sailing vessels. Certainly it has slightly faded with time and use. But there are no surface type chips on the base. There is normal wear to the base. I have not cleaned the pitcher and it is dirty inside, but I have left that for

This is an authentic Sevres of France. 19th century made porcelain tea set. The hand painted art on each piece is one of a kind, you will not find this exact set of paintings anywhere else, they are not transferred pictures of art but painted by hand. The highest quality in craftmanship went into making each piece which is entirely hand painted with extremely fine detailed courting couple portraits and landscapes. Each scene is timeless in style and beauty; depicting such fine detailed artistry that the closer you study their work the more impressed you become. Like candy for your eyes. The amazingly talented work that went into creating each magnificent, uniquely romantic piece; of useful art is captivating to all who can appreciate rare fine art at it's best. This would make an exquisite wedding present or special occasion gift and it is most definitely heirloom quality. The large teapot measures(with lid on) approximately 8" inches tall x 10 1/2" wide. Antique Blue and White Parian Pitcher Very Unusual Scallop Shell Motif Creamer
Lovely. Unusual stylized sea shell decoration on Parian Pitcher. The scallop was often carved into American Chippendale furniture from the 18th Century. Perfect size for milk or cream. Among my grandmother’s treasures was a collection of Relief Molded and Parian Pitchers. This pitcher is the perfect size for milk or cream. Indeed my grandmother often used it after dinner for coffee. The overlapping scallop shell motif is very unusual in a pitcher. Even more so for a Parian pitcher. The shells are further highlighted by the use of blue slip between the rows. It fits right in with my grandmother's love of New England. This type of stylized scallop shell was often carved into the famous antique Chippendale furniture. Made in New England. Typical for Parian pitchers. This one is very delicate and thin walled. It is probably English. Although ... morethe interior is glazed—therefore usable—which was a distinguishing feature of American Bennington Parian ware. It probably dates from the 1850s. Size: about 5 ¾ inches tall and about 4 inches wide at the widest and 5 inches from handle to spout. Condition is great except for a what appears to me as a couple of manufacturing flaws: a few tiny dark spots. Some surface hairlines near the spout that have darkened with age and what looks like a chip on the bottom ridge, except its edges are smooth. To me. That suggests that it happened before it was fired. The hairlines do not extend to the inside of the pitcher. Although one can be seen from the inside because it is darkened and because the wall is delicate and thin. They have obviously been there for quite a while and I would assume they happened during or shortly after the pitcher's firing. While it was cooling. A very unusual blue and white Parian pitcher that is also very useful. See my other auctions for more antique pitchers and New England serving pieces with scallop shells. Terms and Conditions: I only accept PayPal and ship to the PayPal account address. Payment is required within 7 days of the auction’s end. Pl

ANTIQUE 1840's ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE BLUE & WHITE SPONGEWEAR PITCHER
This lovely. Large pitcher is in great condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or discoloration. It measures 11 1/2"29.3 cm) in height and is 7 1/2"17.8 cm) in diameter at the widest point. The pitcher is covered down to the bottom with blue sponging. There is a 2"5.1 cm) area of white at the base and on the upper foot of the pitcher. The sponging continues around the rim of the base, the inside rim of the spout, and the entire handle. The handle has a thumb guard, and another 4"10.2 cm) below that. The pitcher appears to be earthenware as you can see this from the unglazed rim on the base. It was covered in a white tin glaze with blue, and then a glossy glaze. There is no Mark on the bottom. This would predate the first registry diamond in 1842. The pitcher shape with the oversized spout and bulbous lower body with ... morea foot was popular in the 1840s. ANTIQUE 1820-1830 ENGLISH BLUE & WHITE SPONGEWARE HELMET SHAPED PITCHER
This early pitcher has very defined sponging. The English cut the sponges in a much more fine and detailed manner. This is also called an ewer. When it has this oversized spout. It measures 10" 25.4 cm) in height, 7" 17.8 cm) in diameter at the widest point of the body and 4 3/4" 12.1 cm) in diameter at the base. The mouth of the pitcher measures 6" 15.3 cm) from spout to handle and is 4 3/4" 12.1 cm) across. The"C" shaped handle is heavily sponged. There are double, overlapping, concentric circles on the inside and outside of the spout. The first row of double circles on the body match the spout, except they are not overlapping. The next two rows are divided by two double rings. The two rows have double, multi-pointed stars, that also do not overlap. There is a very similar pitcher in my yelloware book, ... morethat has black sponging over the yelloware, dates to 1810 and was made in Yorkshire. The only difference is the bottom shape. The bottom of the pitcher in the book comes down straight and this one has a"pedestal urn" shaped base. This pitcher looks to be Ironstone because the glaze is not interrupted, but if you look at the base rim, there are two areas where the earthenware pottery is showing through. Also, the weight is substantial, but an Ironstone pitcher of this size would be heavier. This pitcher is in great condition, especially considering its age and composition. There is only one thing, and is not technically damage. It has a light beige stain on the bottom that does not come through to the inside surface. There is a $1.00 charge for a new box within a larger new box and ample packing material to ensure safe delivery. International Buyers Please Note: Import duties. Taxes and related charges are not included in the item price or shipping and handling charges. These charges are the buyers responsibility. Blue & White Pitcher, Head Figure on Handle, Feather Head Figure, tepee, trees
This pitcher is 9" high and 6 1/2" wide on the bottom. The handle is amazing and is 7" on an angle from the top the head to the bottom. The base color of the pitcher is a creamy white and is crackled. The feathered figure head is almost 4" high. There is a tiny chip in the 2nd feather from the top. There is one spot of blue that must have dripped when painted- it is above the trees. Overall there are 5 tepees. A group of 3 trees, 1 single tree, the feathered figure head and then the details on the handle. There are no stamps. Date or manufacturer info on the bottom of the pitcher. Could be English, but there is no proof of that. Will package with the greatest of care for shipping. Posted with the

Doma Fama Alba china transferware pitcher white with blue florals So pretty!
Do you love blue and white? Here is a beautiful antique pitcher for you! It's a large pitcher.Probably from a wash stand set. THe pitcher stands about 11 1/4 inches high and is about 8 to nine inches at its widest point. It is sparkling clean inside and out and looks like it was rarely used. Stamp on bottom reads Doma Fama Alba China Graceful handle and shape with flowers all over(see pics) Light crazing all over gives it character. There is one chip near the lip or spout which I tried to photograph but as it is in the white area it is very hard to capture. Overall it is in great shape for its age and is bright and crisp-perfect for an arrangement of fresh flowers. On larger items such as this I can ship parcel post but you must request it before the invoice is paid. Send request through My Messages in Ebay.

L209 ENGLISH GEORGIAN EARTHENWARE 1860s UN-BANDED BLUE RING SPONGEWARE PITCHER
LOT# 209 Detailed Photos. Click to enlarge. Estate Road Show. Item Description. The Estate Road Show is proud to showcase this original 1860s to 1870s English Spongeware full sized 8.5 inch tankard pitcher. In an early plain Georgian style un-banded configuration, completed in a gorgeous blue finger ring hand Dabbed finish. This classic Georgian style buff clay rimmed bottom tankard is part of the second generation Victorian highly decorative Spongeware, which is generally considered between 1855& 1875, when hand Dabbing switched to the stick spatter application finish. The early to mid Victorian Scottish/ English molded serving pieces are few and far between. Furthermore, 90% + of the wares from that era were finished in one of the four disciplines exclusively, those being Brush Stroke, Spattering, Dabbing, or Sponge Spattering(Stick ... moreSpattering) please see the history below. Our special antique is strictly early hand Dabbing and is a truly valuable collectible. Research consulted: Spongeware 1835 to 1935 Makers Marks& patterns/ by Henry E. Kelly, Arnold& Dorothy E. Kowalsky; Spongeware& Spatterware 3rd Edition/ by Kevin McConnell Spongeware is a specific decorating discipline that although can be found as early as 1820, according to some historians, officially originated in Scotland ca. 1835. The technique was amenable to early earthen wares, but would also later apply to Ironstone, and English semi porcelain, which fostered a century long love affair with the finished products. Manufactured In the numerous factories of early Industrial-era England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales the art form was well received whenever it was discovered. The term Spongeware was strictly Scottish/ English in lineage, while the term Spatterware became first associated with, and then supplanted the Spongeware reference in America. This information is taken from the classic reference by Henry Kelly and Arnold and Dorothy Kowalsky, Spongeware 1835-1935. Spongeware or Spatterware was first recorded in Scotland ca. 1835, a

Antique Salt Glaze Stoneware Colbalt Blue Water/ Milk Pitcher !
This is from my grandmother who was a little old German lady that collected many things. The picture has been in storage since the 1960’s in my dad.S attic. I am not sure as to the artist or manufacture but I can assure you that it is authentic and not a reproduction. Measures 8"x7"x5"Condition is very good no cracks or chips that I can see. The figure on the picture is playing some sort of instrument on his lap. If you like this one then bid cause I don't have 2 of this. I am guessing as to the age being between 1900 and 1940 as that was when my grandmother bought most of her things. If anyone knows more about this please email me and I'll post the information.

ANTIQUE BLUE & WHITE STONEWARE PITCHER WITH INDIAN HEAD DESIGN
THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC EXAMPLE OF LATE 1800 AMERICAN STONEWARE. RIGHT DOWN TO THE CHARM OF THE HAND FORMING THE TOP OF THE PITCHER. WHICH IS NOT PERFECTLY ROUND. CONDITION OF THE PITCHER IS QUITE GOOD, GIVEN IT'S AGE. ONLY A FEW CHIPS(MINOR) ARE VISIBLE ON THE TOP RIM. VISUALLY, NOT A DISTRACTION. THE TEXTURE IS A CHECKERED PATTERN, WITH A ROPE LIKE DESIGN ON THE HANDLE. THE INDIAN HEAD, WITH HEADRESS, IS FEATURED ON BOTH SIDES. THIS WAS CARED FOR AS A COLLECTIBLE. BUT AS GOOD AS THE POTTERY IS, ALONG WITH THE SALT-GLAZING, THIS PITCHER UNDOUBTLY COULD BE USED!
