You are bidding on the 1964 Sunburst Silvertone Silhouette/Bobkat pictured. This was the higher end Bobkat with the pearloid block inlay on its neck. I thought this was a Bobkat. But have been told it is a Silhouette. Has ashtray cover with tremolo arm. Guitar is 100% original. The pictures tell the story with regards to the guitar's cosmetic condition. It is one of the nicer Bobkats I've seen offered on ebay. The tremolo arm has a little rust on the arm itself. The body has a few nicks which I've shown in pictures and the pickguard is cracked at a few corners. I have taken pictures from all angles, so you get a clear idea about what the guitar's condition. Pickups are original and in perfect working order. The top nob was glued at some point in the past. It is stiff, but does turn its full rotation. It is 38" high at the back by 21' deep(front leg to back leg) by 22" wide(knee to knee) NOTE: all measurements given are the largest, outside measurements. The seat height is approx. 18" from floor to top of seat. The chair is solid but there is some inlay missing. Please see all photos. It has a very old finish, probably original, with good color and patination. The slip seat is very easy to re-upholster. She purchased this from a very reputable local violin store in 2001. Since. It has probably had only occasional use. It was a non smoking home with no children. I can send the original purchase receipt with the violin after purchase if you wish. The 4/4 violin is made by hand from the Enesco Workshop in 2000. Made in Romania. Serial# is 121512. Brand label and serial number are clearly visible inside the body of the violin. The bow is an Eastman 80 Pernanbuco bow with Mother of Pearl inlay on each side and the top of the bow. These retail now for $125 new online. Also included is a Protec green case. Although not completely hard-sided. The case ... moreis extremely sturdy and aside from fuzz, has very little wear and no stains. Comes with a shoulder strap for carrying as well. Item sells as is. To my knowledge it has always been well-kept and has sustained no damage and has been handled carefully throughout it's life. It obviously needs new strings. And I am unfamiliar with bows and do not know if the bow needs restringing as well. It looks to be in nice condition. I was told that reupholstering does not effect value as it's a very common practice and whoever did it was smart enough to leave the underside all original. The settee and chair are hand carved. Hand inlay with many different woods and with mother of pearl! They have hand carved ball and claw feet and very unique shapes. That more then makes up for ugly fabric. They have a folk art feel and are gorgeous! These photo's don't do the beautiful inlay ... moreor these pieces justice! They have original brass antique nails and"rose-head nails" hand crafted by blacksmiths; which can be identified by irregular. Rose shaped heads. Vintage , Leather Inlay , Nightstand. It`s dated either 30`s Or 50`s.
It`s an older nightstand put out by Gordons Inc. Johnson City Tennessee. Take a look at picture# 9. It`s the quality inspectors tag. Dated either 1930`s or 1950`s. I honestly can`t tell. Every other number I can. Except the decade one. It does have a few damaged spots. Nothing structural. It`s a very tight and sturdy piece. No wiggle whatsoever. See picture# 5 of the lower leather inlay panel. It`s got either something on it or a worn spot. See picture# 7. It`s of a rather large though not too deep scratch. It`s about 3 inches long including the spot where it doubles back on itself. Other than those 2 spots nothing really noteworthy damagewise. Pretty lighyt duty occaisional scratches and scuffs beyond that. Not much dirt either. I did give it a light damp dusting but nothing more. It was stored in a good place. Has brass feet. Vintage prewar Columbia tenor banjo - Buckbee made - abalone inlay
Here is a rare Columbia tenor banjo from the early 20th century probably made by the Buckbee banjo company. It is in very good overall condition and is all original aside from the bridge. The tuners are old friction pegs and might be original. But they might not. There are a couple small chips of wood missing on the neck, but nothing that interferes with the playability or threatens the structural integrity of the banjo. There is a slight back bow in the neck but it still plays great up to about the 10th fret with no fret buzz. All of the tuners still work and hold the tuning quite well. This does not come with a bag or case but will be packed very carefully and insured with UPS for the full amount of the purchase. We will only ship to verified Paypal address in the continental US.
