22 Industrial Antique Iron Window Locks Circa 1899 Ex.Cond. Payson
Great Set of 22 Antique Schoolhouse Window Locks in excellent condition circa 1899. Beautiful. Elegant design. PAYSON PAT'D 4-25-99 on bottom of keeper. Cast iron with a matte grayish black finish. The finish is generally intact with some wear in use areas but the color of the iron makes it hard to detect the wear. Very minor areas of corrosion. The springs and pins are solid brass. When the arm is pulled over the keeper the window cannot be lifted. Easy moving parts and made to last. These are antique and have been restored only by removing the old milk paint that was on the bases. There are 22 locks in this set. Bases together measure 1 15/16" deep x 2 3/8" wide. 1 1/2" tall when closed and 2 1/2" tall when open. SHIPPING: I combine shipping. I use USPS Priority Mail or First Class when possible. Straight from the contents of a recent clearance is beautiful pair of antique brass teardrop window handles. Dating to around the 1860's these are very ornate. A large pair- each handle is just under 5 inches long. Previous owner of the house had all the antique brass fittings dipped and cleaned hence the bright appearance of the one on the right. This auction is for THREE matching antique Eastlake window sash locks. These were used as working sash locks on our windows until we had more efficient replacement windows put in earlier this year. The lock sets are connected with easily-removable zip ties to keep both pieces together. Though not pictured. Brass screws to attach the sash locks to the windows are included in this auction.
