FOR SALE- This is the best of the best- Here are 4 solid brass window sash pulls removed from a very old home here in central Illinois. I feel the home was probably built around 1870 or 1880. These are just fabulous as they are very ornate- intricate- fancy- they are special. These handles are extra heavy as the 4 have a combined weight of almost 1 pound 2 ounces. The overall size of each pull is 5 1/4" wide x 1 7/8" tall and each pull has the word LARGO stamped on the back. Antique, casement window stay made by, Yale& Towne, of Stamford, CT sometime during the first half of the previous century. It is made entirely of solid, heavy, thick, cast brass, not plated steel. Originally, it was copper-plated, however, most of the plating wore off over the years and only traces of copper could be seen here and there. If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. 10 Solid Brass 1920s Large Classroom Window Sash Locks with Finger Pull Rings
These 10 solid brass 2-piece window sash locks were recently removed from the large windows being replaced during the renovation of an old building in Central Virginia. The building had been built in the 1920s and the windows were from very large rooms that had been used as instructional/class rooms. I have not cleaned the locks and you can see they still retain all of their original patina from being grasped and used for almost a century. A few have some small remnants of paint. The base of each 2-piece lock measures about 2.5" x 2"4" and weighs about 7.8 ounces. These heavy duty locks are made from solid brass and use 4 screws each.
