Green Depression Glass Curtain Tie Back
I'm not sure of the age of this but I bought it years ago at an estate auction. The glass part is about 31/2" wide and the stem is about 4" long. The stem is metal before the screw ends. I'm also selling a pink set of these. There aren't any chips or cracks

ANTIQUE CURTAIN TIE BACKS MADE OF PRESSED GLASS WITH FLORAL IMAGE This lot came from an estate with other antiques and collectibles and they are in very good condition. I have examined each one and I do not see any nicks or chips in any of the glass. They have a pale green color(note that the flash on my camera made them look a little greener in some photos than they really look) and each one measures almost 3.5" across and the metal posts measure a little over 3.5" long. Two of them have the metal holders that screw into the wall(the threads on one looks a little bent but still useable) and the other two are just the glass pieces without the holders. I am not sure of how old they are but I would guess depression era or earlier. These are very collectible and many people are using them to create an authentic antique look to their ... moredecor. I included photos with an old buffalo nickel to aid as a size reference and the nickel will be included with the items. 2) ANTIQUE PALE PINK PRESSED GLASS CURTAIN TIE BACKS WITH METAL HARDWARE. These are from an estate with many fine antiques and collectibles and look to be in very very good condition for their age. They measure about 4.5" across and the metal hardware holder pieces are about 3.5" long. They do not have any noticeable nicks or chips but if you really look close you can see minor imperfections from the pressed glass process and one has a spot that may be a tiny nick or it may be just an imperfection I am not sure. Either way you really have to look very close to even notice. I am not sure of the age of these but I would guess they are depression era or prior. They are really beautiful and I have included photos with an old buffalo nickel for a size reference and the nickel will be included with the tiebacks. A lot of four ca 1880 Victorian individual sulphide glass curtain tie backs with slightly different red star center and metal surround design. The first two have black spindles and are 1 5/8" in diameter. The glass medallions rise 1/8" from the rim of the filigreed brass surround. The turned wooden posts are 3 3/8" long and to the end of the screws they measure 4 2/4" The next two are 2 1/2" in diameter and the glass medallions rise 1/4" from the metal surround. The first. I believe is later and has a cherry(I think) spindle and it retains the majority of the metal finish. Both it and the last one have a Greek Key surround. The last has no wood spindle. Antique pair of sulphide curtain tie backs from the Victorian Period circa 1880's. White snowflake design with glitter still visible. The brass surrounds are decorated in a Greek pattern. The pair are in excellent antique condition. The tiebacks measure 2.5" in) in diameter with the center medallion. Measuring 2" in) in diameter.
