Here we have for bid are these very NICE 1880's Eastlake window sash locks. These 23 BEAUTIES starting with the ones on the upper left are 2 1/2 inches across and the ones in the middle are 2 inches across and the far right and bottom locks are 2 inches and 2 1/4 inches across. As you can see these are various designs. The LARGE ones on the top left have SOLID brass or brons bottoms but the top and all others have a NICE design and most are CAST IRON and a few have BRASS centers. There are(5) antique Mission Arts& Crafts Movement cast iron window-sash locks wit an'Eastlake' design. All are patent dated. Lot Of 11 Antique Eastlake Window Sash Locks
Here we have a lot of 11 complete Eastlake( I am 99% sure they are Eastlake) antique window sash locks in nice condition. There is a 12th lock.But only the latch part. These look to be plated with brass maybe? A magnet will stick to the main body and not to the thumb lever. These have a good patina on them or could be polished up. Two original Antique Victorian cast iron and bronze"eagle claw" window sash locks only no keepers/ catches. Matching original or reproduction keepers can be found online. This exquisitely ornametal window hardware is from the 1880's. The patented Eastlake style 1886. Eagle Claw double hung sash locks were made by the H. B. Ives Company of New Haven, Connecticut. They are original antiques which are made of cast iron and have beautiful bronze handles with a patented dual action lock function. The'arm' is a feathered wing that locks into a(claw on the‘keeper’ or catch not included) The intricately patterned bronze arms or handles turn with ease and are in excellent working condition. Here we have 4 matching Victorian window sash locks which are getting harder and harder to find. They are made of cast iron with a beautiful brass or bronze release knob. They do have printing on them but I can not make it out. They are probably made by either Payson or Eastlake. As you well know they made intricate window locks with a quality mechanism. These locks are all in working order and measure 2 1/2' wide with the screw holes 1 3/4' on center. I did not attempt to clean them up as I will let the new owner restore them to their liking. I do not think you will be disappointed in these locks and maybe they are just what you need to finish your restoration project. Antique Bronze Window Sash Locks Latches Unusual Cast Eastlake? Lot of 2 Each
THIS AUCTION IS FOR A Pair of USED Unusual Antique Bronze Window Sash Locks Latches These latches were obtained at a local estate sale and I do not the history of this item. The people I obtained these heavy latches from explained to me that they believe that they were window latches removed from the old Connecticut State House that had been demolished some time ago. Their father owned a construction company that was hired back in the day to be part of the demolition. Unfortunately. The farther is not with us to say for sure so I can't be certain. I understand that in most cases it is best to leave old hardware in it's found state but unfortunately I had to clean them. They were extremely dirty and had a lot of paint on them that was hardened to the surface. You would never be able to see the detail unless this was done. Once I brushed ... morethem of with a a wire brush. All the latches were treated with Rust-Oleum Aircraft Remover. Then I had rinse them wire brush them again. After I got most of the finish and paint off. I put the latches in a salt and vinegar solution to brighten them up and of course, I brushed them with a copper brush. They are not 100% clean but the bulk of the cleaning is done. They are stripped down pretty well overall. As I stated. They were taken off a structure previously so they are not in mint condition. You can see some bending on the metal tabs and other imperfections such as scratches and nicks. The latches were definitely made from cast. The color of the latches vary. Some appear to have more copper tint than brass. The weight of one latch base is appx. 5.3 oz and the top portion is appx. 2 oz. Top portion is appx. 3" across 3/4" in height. 3/4" in depth. 2 mounting holes. The bottom portion is appx. 3 1/16" across at the widest point and appx. 1 1/2" in height( not including the latch mechanism. 4 mounting holes. I tried to do some research on these latches but I could not fine out much or find any design like them. There are no markings. The latch that

Here is a gorgeous set of 4(8 total pieces) Victorian window sash locks. They are signed Payson Mfg Co. and have a patent date of 1876 on them. I'm not good with metals. They are maybe copper? or bronze? They do not stick to the magnet! These are fresh out of an old home and are untouched by us. There are remnants of old paint and they have a wonderful patina. You can clean them up and bring them back to original glory or use them as is. Unlike others I saw available. These have a nice spring loaded locking mechanism. All four lock releases work great and could be used as are they are. These also feature beautiful geometric designs unlike any others that I was able to find. Here is a gorgeous Victorian Eastlake window sash lock. Signed Payson Mfg Co.and have a nice spring loaded locking mechanism. The spring lock release works great. Feature beautiful geometric design. I believe it is cast iron with a brass or bronze knob. Aprox. size is 2 1/2" in length. Please note in last two photos it shows a blemish in the knob mold. Photos are the best description!
