There is minor surface rust on the piece and is marked on the bottom Pat'd Feb 7 1871. There is paint residue on the bottom of both pieces. I do not see any chips. Breaks or missing parts. 5 Antique 1872 Eastlake Cast Iron Window Latch Sash Lock Hardware Stripped Bare
Up for auction is a set of 5 antique 1872 Easlake Victorian window latch locks plus one part. These have all been stripped to bare metal and lightly sprayed with lacquer to inhibit rust. Absolutely not reproductions! These had about 6 layers of paint. A bit of work got these to this point. Each measures 2 1/4" wide x 2" deep. Nice Eastlake design on the latch. These close by rotating the latch on the arch of the second half. It locks and squeezes the windows together to"seal" drafts. Three of these have the spring steel that allows you to keep pressure. Two are missing the spring steel. This is an easy fix by just cutting a small piece of spring steel and squeezing it into place. These still function without but work better with. 1890s Victorian Ornate Decorative Cast Iron Window Latch Lock
This is quite beautiful. It's a victorian decorative cast iron window latch lock. It is complete, it measures 1 inch together at screws, 2 inches wide at the middle, 2 inches long, and about 1 inch high. The design if very ornate, similar to an East Lake hardware piece, but I don't see any markings on the piece for identification. As shown, it has wear- light surface scratches, some paint, and needs a good cleaning. The underneath has a copper color tone to it. Enjoy! Sorry. No international bidders. Antique 1800's Hardware Cast Iron Window Sash Lock Latch only, Pat May 29 88
This is a single vintage antique cast iron window latch with a Patent date of May 29. 1888. It has an ornate design, which is mostly hidden by paint. It seems to work well, with the lever& latch moving 90 degrees together and then the lever only rotates another 90 degrees to sung the latch. The screw mount holes are spaced at 1 ¾” The reach from the center line of the mount holes to closed latch is 1” There is not a catch included with this latch. On the inside bottom. Antique cast iron window sash latch and latching plates eastlake victorian
Set of 7 antique cast iron latching plates for window sash latch and 1 sash latch. The latch is good condition. There is up and down play in the handle, not sure if this is normal or from wear. there are a couple of faint hairline cracks in the porcelain knob but no indication of cracking apart. The latch mounting plate measures 2 1/2" x 3/4" the latching plates are 2 3/16" long.
