Antique Star Burst Weathervane Lightning Rod Topper Nova Flare, Brass Finial End
This great looking star burst brass lightning rod topper has it's original patina. I could find no makers mark. But these are not seen anymore and I think it dates back to the late 1800's. The star tips are sharp and I just can tell it's very old. This is being sold in antique condition, as shown in the photos. Nothing is hidden. Vintage cast iron Pheasant weathervane topper in very good condition. It measures 29" long and 13" tall and the arrow is 3/4" wide. Where is sits on a pole is a1/4" opening. It weighs about 3 pounds. Not sure how old it is. The pheasant is held on with 2 screws into the arrow I do not know much about weathervanes or weathervane tops, so please look at pictures and bid accordingly. 3 Copper Twist Lightning Rod Weathervane Pennsylvania Barn Acorn 5 Spike Topper
Fresh from the roof of an early Pennsylvania barn. That has collapsed under the weight of this winter's snow, are the three lightning rods with weathervane. They are made of copper, brass, and iron, with porcelain insulators(one insulator is missing, one is broken) The lightning rods stand approx. 6' tall, and the weathervane arrow is 32" long(animal piece is missing) The twisted center pieces look to be copper-covered iron(some copper is peeling/damaged, see photos) topped with what I believe are solid brass acorn pieces, and the five spikes look to be copper(one has a few bent spikes from the collapse) The glass/ceramic balls are missing, but the ring-caps are still present(lots of balls available here on eBay) The three-legged iron mounting brackets are fair for their age; rusty and pitted, all mounting feet and insulator ... morebrackets are present. One clip/clamp at the base of center rod, where cable would connect, is broken(middle of last photo) These three rods have gone through many rough years atop that barn.fortunately they still exist and can be restored or displayed as is. The detailing on the eagle and the arrow is very well done. There appears to be the year of"1974" noted under the eagle on the right side of the arrow shaft. Also what is probably a makers mark and the number"16" on the left side. The metal has a flat black finish on it and most of it is still there. The mounting ... morebracket for this piece allows the weathervane to mounted to a wall(arrow would not clear if outside. So only for decoration) or to the top of a building. The piece is mounted on a wood block currently and it could be displayed on a table. The weathervane is 26.75" tall. By 17-3/8" across(by arrow) by 11.75" wide. This lovely old weathervane topper is made of two sheets of copper which have been formed on a mold to create dimension and detail. Then soldered together with ears applied. We found this handsome fellow in an old barn, covered with dust(cliche, but true! in New Hampshire. Displays beautifully. We had a hard time listing him as he does look amazing in our home! Okay onward. Measures: Horse is 28"L x 13 1/2"H. Total 14" H(with support bar) Support bar is 31" L x 1/2" Diameter Condition: Really good considering he's been sitting outdoors then in a dusty old barn for years. We expected. But don't see any dings/dents, but there might be a couple. There is a very nice greenish patina or verdigris forming. Wonderful Sailboat Weathervane Topper from Cape Cod I am offering this great weathervane topper which I found at an estate sale in Chatham. The topper is in the form of a sailboat and is in great shape. Having all four directionals and the copper ball. The copper has weathered naturally to its verdigris patina. This pretty topper has been used. The family from whom it was purchased said that it was from the 1960's and that seems right. It measures 43 inches from the top of the flags to the bottom of the pole The ship is 24 inches long and 27 inches tall. This is a wonderfully decorative piece which can be used inside or out.

Up for auction is this Vintage Weathervane Horse Topper. Made of Copper& Brass. Measures 19" long& 12"tall(overall) Made of thin Copper(but sturdy) I tried to show the Copper in the last picture. The weld on the back leg has come loose but could be easily fixed. The Arrow& part of the Horse are starting to show pretty neat patina. The"cap" on the bottom of the Arrow is threaded. Metal Rabbit Weathervane Topper Architectural Lightning Rod Weather Vane Animal
Here is a great old find. Looks like a salvaged Weathervane topper in the shape of a Rabbit. The Rabbit is approx. 11 3/4 inches high x approx. 12 inches long and approx 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 inches thick at the mid section. The Rabbit has been affixed to a base that measures approx 4 x 8 1/2 inches. The Rabbit looks to have been exposed to the elements of the outdoors as it has some rust on the feet and legs. Looks like someone used a rust stopping black paint to preserve it. The Rabbit is very solid and could easily be reapplied to a Weathervane if someone chose to do so. I cannot find any makers marks on it anywhere. I believe it is pretty old and is still very desirable. Postage will be $12.00 due to the size of box needed to ship it safely.

The directional arrow and the 5 3/4" pole mount is old time riveted twice onto the thin, but sturdy metal, of a running and jumping horse ... morewith the rider bracing the jump. Everything is very sturdy and nothing is loose. It measures 18 1/2" from the tip of the arrow pointer to the end of it's tail and 13 1/2" from the top of the riders head to the bottom of the base pole, which also has a small threaded hole for mounting on what ever you choose{ SORRY. Up for sale is this cool vintage Metal Red and Silver Weathervane or Windmill Arrow. It is mounted to a small shaft that ends in a enclosed ball bearing housing. The ball bearing housing has open circular end that can be mounted on another shaft. Both ends of arrow painted red. Arrow is about 22 inches long. Vintage Mailbox Topper or Weathervane Piece?, Cast Metal Horse & Foal, Awesome!
Awesome and nicely detailed horse& foal mailbox topper! This is a beauty! This may have utility as a weathervane ornament as well. If you fastened it at the base? Item is a heavy cast metal with silver paint with a hint of gold tone to the front. The metal is not magnetic. The item is in nice shape with good integrity and has a nice patina with some minor wear of the paint. I note some areas of unevenness on the back side. But this looks inherent to the piece as a result of manufacture. The piece measures approximately 7 1/4" long by 8" tall.The attachment base area is 4 ¼" long and 2/16" thick. This is a nice display piece for a wall or your collection. Or put it back in service on a mailbox or weathervane!

Nice old weather vane in pretty decent condition. The tail has a sag.definitely can be fixed but I'll leave that up to the new owner. The horse is 29" long and 14" high. Great piece of early Americana ready for display or use.
