RARE ANTIQUE CIRCUS HORSE Weathervane on KING cast iron ARROW, primitive decor
Offering a wonderful OLD weather vane arrow with painted zinc CIRCUS HORSE prancing into the wind. This piece is is great shape. No holes, original patina, ready to hang! The entire set is 34" long, the arrow point end is cast iron, fitting onto a copper rod. The circus horse is firmly attached to the copper rod. Antique Cast Iron Ornate Weathervane Lightning Rod ARROW ~Looks to be Kretzer
ANTIQUE ORNATE IRON ARROW Measures 22.75" long. There are no breaks. Cracks, or repairs to this fancy old arrow. An eBay search shows me it looks just like a Kretzer but I don't see the name where it usually is. See my last photo. Don't know if they were ever unmarked or if it could wear down that much? We are not weathervane people. There is no glass. See photo 8.Should there be something there to hold the glass? We suspect so.Probably an easy fix for those accustomed to working with weathervanes.

Antique Cast Iron & Red Glass Weathervane Arrow, Glass ball & display mount
A great looking Antique Weathervane Arrow and Sun Colored Milk Glass Lightning Ball set up on a display base and mounted on a copper Lightning Rod. The items featured in this display all date to at leat the 1940's and likely are even older. The fancy cast iron arrow measures 18 inches long and has the original red tail glass and even though their is a crack in the one corner. It is firmly and solidly set into the iron frame. The old white milk glass ball is 4 inches in diameter and has a lovely lavender tint due to being exposed to the sun for many years. The entire piece stands 17 inches tall, is 18 inches wide and is set into a walnut base for display. Antique Cast Iron Lightning Rod / Weathervane Arrow Amber Glass w Globe Ends 20"
I purchased this Lightning Rod Arrow with Amber Textured Glass Tail Insert at a farm estate sale here in rural WV. It is a cast metal probably cast iron and has ornate decorative work. The glass ball had been broken years before and the farmer had tied the ends for the glass ball onto the arrow so I left them. They are some sort of light metal and one has a bend but can be straightened. The arrow measures 20" and I see no damage other than some oxidation and light scraping.

Antique fancy cast iron metal weathervane lightning rod arrow pointer.
Up for auction is an antique/vintage weathervane/lightning rod arrow. Age unknown. It appears to be made out of brass. It's getting the greenish blue tint like brass and copper do over a period of time. All original and intact. It measures 17" from tip to tail. The hole is approx 3/4 in diameter. The wonderful water bottle and oil funnel do not come with the arrow. Great shape for its age. I know the pictures are horrible. Taken from iPad apologies. No returns. Pay pal only. Cast iron metal piece arrow weathervane pointer fence top cross antique salvage!
This shiny black rusted ancient piece is 9.25 ounces in weight. 8.5 inches in length and 3.6 inches in width and.75 inch depth. I am not sure what it was used for. My best guess is a weathervane pointer. It has some rust showing through the top layer of paint and obvious previous rust buildup that has been painted over in the past. Antique Weathervane Arrow Front Cast Iron Heavy Unusual Lightning Rod
Up for auction is an antique weathervane arrow front measuring 14 1/2" in length. This arrow front is cast iron. Very thick, and weights 1 3/4 lbs. This arrow would probably have had a large animal for the back end. This would have been on a cast iron or possibly copper tube and would have fit into this arrow front and been secured with the set screw shown in a picture. The set screw itself is interesting in that it has a square head and is fused to the cast iron. The hole size is about 3/4" wide suggesting this weathervane fit onto a standard tube lightning rod.
