Big Vintage Doll Steamer Type Trunk with Key Lock ~ Very good condition!
I am liquidating an estate and there are many dolls coming up for sale. Check all my auctions as I'm happy to combine shipping. Here is a very old vintage doll trunk; made just like Mom's! Big size ~ 18" tall. Almost 11" across, and 9" deep. This trunk opens up so you can hang the clothes and put accessories in both the top bin(can open that all the way up too ~ see pics) and the bottom drawer. There are great travel stickers all over this trunk like Swooping across the Atlantic on the SS Col. Lindbergh; Down the Nile to Silent Father of Mystery S. S. Alexandria and many more. All the necessary items are in place on this trunk such as the top handle to carry it with. The inside drawers even have their knobs, the key is tied to the outside, the metal hanging rod is in place, All decorative metal corners are in place, ... moreetc. There are some age conditions such as some of the paper being worn on the trunk, the bottom drawer has some tape on it and there is some minor staining throughout as you would expect for a piece from the early 1900's. I don't know who made the trunk. It appears there is something on the latch. But I can't read it. Look at all the photos and ask any and all questions before you buy it. It is a big piece so the shipping is a bit much, but overall, I believe this is a great item and worth the cost to get it to you. Good luck! Please ask all questions before you bid or buy! 33"X12.5" X 17" Black High Gloss Metal Steamer Trunk with Key Long Lock T44 out of Petersburg VA This trunk is immaculate inside. Stored owners important papers and item was wrapped in March 23. 1952 Newspaper that is in pristine condition. No smoke or pet but is a bit musty. Lock was pride open but can be re bent into shape. Lock is missing guts but closes shut tight. and cannot see damage of lock has two heavy duty clasps to keep it shut tight also. Corners all but one. Is in excellent condition. one corner is dented in) but adds character. No rust or other damage other than scratches on black metal on bottom and a few on top. Does not take away from charm. Also has a side leather handle in excellent condition. Interior is paper lined. in Pristine condition. no tears or stains. Would make a great décor piece. or coffee ... moretable. since its heavy metal and black.

This is in fair condition and the most unique retro pattern I've ever come across on a trunk. The pattern is orange. 3 shades of green, and black. There is also a unique texture to the exterior of the trunk with embossed floral pattern that is separate from the printed color floral pattern. The trunk still has both original handles. The latches both work but sometimes you need to use a bit of muscle to open them as they stick a bit. The inside mechanism for the lock is missing. The bottom of the trunk has some deeper scratches then the rest of the trunk. There are minor scratches through out the trunk as well as shown. Some hardware pieces show ... moresome rust. Overall this is in good condition and has a great unique pattern that you will not come across again anytime soon nor will anyone you know have anything similar. The green painted trunk. Or chest, handle(see bottom right corner of picture provided) measures about 3.5" from left to right and 3" from top to bottom. The brass-plated lock(see bottom left corner of picture provided) also measures about 3.5" from left to right. Across its widest dimension, and has the maker's logo, in the shape of a key and name"ORBIN" the best I can make this out) imprinted below the key hole. Although we don't have a key for the lock, it"opens" by pushing down on the brass colored"button" Found immediately above the key hole. A key is not included. The 2nd trunk. Or chest, handle(see top-most item in center of picture provided) measures about 3.5" from left to right and 2.75" from top to bottom. The 4th item offered for auction. That helps hold a chest lid ... moreopen at an appropriate angle, measures about 6.5" long and about.5" wide. It is not magnetic, so is likely made of brass or other non-ferrous metal. Condition- Good with typical signs of usage. Such as dings and dents, mainly on the top. No rust issues on the gold metal. Inside is very clean and nice with no odors, rips or tears, I peeked in before I closed the lid. Would be a nice trunk for someone that is familiar with locks and could open it. Antique steamer trunk/ French Luggage w/ Thomas Cook and son Label/ lock and key this trunk measures about 20 x 20 x 20 inches. It has a brass lock and is in pretty good shape. The brass lock has some kind of stamp maybe a makers mark. I can't tell what it says. The lock has a key that works. On top the leather handle is broken but can be fixed. Antique Steamer Trunk Hardware Hinge Latches, Eagle Lock & Plate Painted Black
This is a repainted flat black lot of very old steamer trunk hardware. You get all u see! There is an Eagle Lock& latch. 2 sets of fastener hinges and a flat plate. No key with the Eagle lock but it is numbered 3446 so might be something easy enough to find but I no longer have the original. All were cleaned well and repainted. One piece still has an old nail in one hole but just will need to be cut out before use. Ready to use lot but you will need a key for the latch with the lock. Happy to answer questions!
