DIMENSIONS: Dimensions taken at furthest points) 51"H x 36W x 20"D ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful antique marble top washstand vanity. With ten gorgeous 3-D Art Nouveau back splash tiles. I do not know the exact age, but I believe the tiles and marble mostly date to around 1880-1910. This washstand comes in two separate pieces; 1)The marble top, wood and tile backsplash; 2) wood cabinet base that is supported by four nicely turned legs on original convenient casters. Naturally this piece has some minor imperfections but overall it is in very good cosmetic and structural condition; it is strong and sturdy. Not sure of the type of wood. But this spacious cabinet opens with two paneled doors. The doors are beautifully adorned with the original ornate bronze pulls that show a lovely patina. The cabinet finish may not be original. I have owned this for 30 years and never refinished it, I don't know what was done prior. The marble top is one solid beautiful piece. It is ¾" thick with straight edges. The veining color is in shades of browns. Burgundy and creams. It is the original marble top and is among the nicest to be seen. It is very heavy as it sits on top of the cabinet. The backsplash is attached to the marble with screws from underneath. But. The best thing about this is the gorgeous set of original Art Nouveau hand-made, hand-painted glazed tiles. The floral designs are raised and detailed with a 3-D look; these original tiles are in great condition, and the colors as well as the Art Nouveau design, complement the cabinet perfectly. The tiles show light crazing and only one shows a hairline crack. I have not removed any tiles to see if they are marked, but this piece is worth the price

It's very heavy and beautifully carved with tusks up the legs and around the top, and the legs resemble trunks. It isn't flawless and has wear from age and use including a chip at the top of one of the legs as shown in pictures 8, 9, and 11. There are some red stains, perhaps can be removed but we didn't try in order not to compromise the finish on the wood; I noticed them when looking close. The most noticeable spot of red can be seen by zooming in on picture 7. Although it's in good condition, you might want to glue and tighten up some of the seams. It is 17-1/2" in height x 13" across the top x 16" across the legs. It weighs a glorious 19 lbs. This is a lot of small clear green glass marbles. There are approx 530 marbles They are vintage. Preowned, in good condition. They each vary slightly in size, not all exactly the same size. approx. 5/16ths to 3/8ths of an inch in diameter each. They could have been for sign making? or some other industrial purpose. they all contain many small bubbles in the glass and a few have small inclusions in the glass, dark specks, and a few may have small cracks, I did not closely inspect each marble. I've decided to part with a few Akro Agate marbles that were a gift to me some time ago. I photographed them with a U.S. dime as size reference. But never thought the marbles mirror surface would pick up the coins reflection in some of the shots taken, and might be confusing when evaluating these handsome little devils through the photos. The figure has average detail and is well centered. It has a silvery sheen with no air bubbles. The single pontil is positioned to the rear of the figure. The marble fluoresces under a black light. Antique Marbles in a Bell Jar Lamp 230+!!!! Wow.
This is a Rare if not one of a kind treasure. It is an old ball jar. 7" high 1' to top of the lamp. The lid has a worn antique appearance. What I gather about this piece is that it was a boys prize marble collection and when he grew up, he made it into a lamp. Many of the clay marbles in the jar do have"playing spots" on them but the collection is in very good shape. 230 plus beautiful handmade and machine made antique marbles, working lamp. this is a one of a kind treasure, and I am not a collector, so they are unsifted variety marbles. good luck bidding! hope you win!

Vintage MARBLES ?? antique Marbles?? Green swirly marbles
Well this is the deal folks. These marbles are ones I played with at my Greandparents while visiting them. They are from thier childhood at least most of them. I however am not an expert or a enthuesiest. But as a child loved to roll my hands through them finding the ones i thought to be the prettiest. So all i am doing is selling lots of marbles in what i think are sets or similar in color and who knows if there's a valuable one in the mix or not. I'll leave that for you to decide. 2 ANTIQUE HANDMADE MARBLES -- TRANSPARENT SWIRLS / LATTICINIO / DIVIDED CORE
Here are two antique handmade transparent swirl marbles. One is a latticinio with a white core; the other is a divided core with red. White, and blue inner ribbons. They are damages- more than the photos show- many chips. Some of the photos are taken wet to show the insides better. They are the same size, but not true round, so they measure 5/8 to 11/16 inch depending on how they are turned when measuring. They aren't the best, but they are better than none.
