Manufactured in the 1950s by Winchendon Furniture Company of Massachusetts. The table is 7 feet long with both the leaves in. Dimensions are: 29 1/2" tall 38" wide and 60" in length w/o the leaves(the leaves are 12 inches each) I also have two of the Paul McCobb mid century modern Planner Group chairs that aren't included in the asking price. DANISH MODERN WALNUT DINING TABLE & CHAIRS SEAT 8, 6, OR 4.
This set includes one table. Two expansion leaves, eight chairs, and two removable load bearing center legs. It was originally purchased in the late 1950's in the Chicagoland area. Probably from Marshall Field and Company, manufactured by the White Furniture Co. At its smallest configuration it seats four. But can expand to fit either six or eight. All components are in good to excellent mechanical condition. But the chairs are overdue for refinishing. The main table was refinished in 1986, but the leaves and chairs still have their original finish. Unfortunately, the finish on some of the chairs has been smeared by solvent. All chairs were reupholstered in about 1999 and plenty of cloth from that job was saved for repairs. My parents were the original owners and I inherited this item in the late'70s. Being offered for sale is this fine Victorian Walnut Library table/ writing desk with drawer and diamond point& incised carvings circa 1880. This fine 19th century writing desk features a diamond point carved apron. Turned finials, incised carvings and tapered splayed legs with a ring turned stretcher at the center. This writing desk measures 29 1/2 inches in height.37 inches wide and 22 1/2 inches deep and weighs approximately 45 lbs. The height from the floor to the bottom of the carved apron measures 23 1/2 inches. Vintage red velvet type fabric accents the desk top and the single drawer at the front has period dove-tailed ends and its lock intact but we do not have the key. This is a Drexel Parallel line walnut coffee table dated 5/61. Likely designed by Kipp Stewart or Barney Flagg. Measures 44" in diameter and 15.25" tall. Very good overall condition with some wear and minor scratches on the top and edges. There is a darker spot near the edge on the top(see closeup) No breaks or cracks but one leg has fairly deep gouges on both sides near the bottom of the leg(see closeup) It has not been repaired and is being sold as is. 1950 1960 Eames Era Mid Century Danish Modern Walnut End Table Furniture
Up for is this Danish Modern Walnut End Table from the 1950’s or 60’s. The top of the table is has a veneer walnut like wood grain design and the legs appear to be made of cherry wood. The table stands 17 1/2” tall and around 16” in diameter. Condition: the tops appears to be in excellent shade. The leg have some minor scratches of age and one may be a very little bit wrapped. The 1” metal protecters at the bottom of each leg are somewhat discolored probably because wax was used when cleaning floor around it. For its age, in good shape. The legs will screwed off of inexpensive shipping.
