Made in England, Victorian era, Circa 1890, Mahogany, Hidden drawer, Carved leg, Dovetailed drawer, Some normal wear to top, Age splits and old repairs to apron, A wonderful antique specimen from England around 1890. This hall table was probably once used as a washstand. But today would function perfectly in a foyer, entryway, hallway, or stairwell. The mahogany has a particularly nice patina to it that can only come with age. The piece features a hidden drawer in the middle for a little bit of storage room. The nicely carved front leg gives the table some pizazz while the clean lines of the piece don't over do it. The drawer is dovetailed, a sign of high quality craftsmanship. There are a few age splits and old repairs in the apron shown in the photos. These are purely cosmetic phenomenon and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. The top also shows wear marks consistent with age and has a faded ring to the right side. Overall the table is quite sturdy and would make a wonderful addition to any home. The top is a beautiful patinated mahogany. It is in good condition. You can see the slight ring to the right side. The top does show signs of wear consistent with age in the form of tiny dings all over the surface some of which can be seen here. The wonderfully carved leg is supportive and good looking. The hidden drawer pulls out to reveal some storage space. The drawer is dovetailed. A sign of high quality craftsmanship. Both sides have similar slight age separations and repairs on the apron. But unsure of the type of wood. There are some scratches on the table top; apparent repairs have been done on one side of the legs where it looks like wood glue and screws have been added to secure the leg, but those screws split the wood somewhat in that area. Made in England, Victorian era, Circa 1890, Mahogany, Hidden drawer, Carved leg, Dovetailed drawer, Some normal wear to top, Age splits and old repairs to apron, A wonderful antique specimen from England around 1890. This hall table was probably once used as a washstand. But today would function perfectly in a foyer, entryway, hallway, or stairwell. The mahogany has a particularly nice patina to it that can only come with age. The piece features a hidden drawer in the middle for a little bit of storage room. The nicely carved front leg gives the table ... moresome pizazz while the clean lines of the piece don't over do it. The drawer is dovetailed, a sign of high quality craftsmanship. There are a few age splits and old repairs in the apron shown in the photos. These are purely cosmetic phenomenon and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. The top also shows wear marks consistent with age and has a faded ring to the right side. Overall the table is quite sturdy and would make a wonderful addition to any home. The top is a beautiful patinated mahogany. It is in good condition. You can see the slight ring to the right side. The top does show signs of wear consistent with age in the form of tiny dings all over the surface some of which can be seen here. The wonderfully carved leg is supportive and good looking. The hidden drawer pulls out to reveal some storage space. The drawer is dovetailed. A sign of high quality craftsmanship. Both sides have similar slight age separations and repairs on the apron. Here is a late Victorian c1920s to mid 1930s Telephone stand desk. They were usually used in hall ways where notes could be taken and left for others in the home to receive. The shelf below is covered by a pair of taven type drawers which swing out to reveal the phone book. The top section has two cubbies for letters and or mail going out for the day. The drawer would hold pencils for the notes along with a pull out bottom shelf in desk section for the actual note taking. This is a hard to find piece in excelent original condition. I believe this table was made between 1740- 1800.This table is a one of a kind piece, it is massive, with heavy carvings, and has far more detail and many more features than the copies. Antique Victorian Aesthetic Gesso Relief Picture Frame Velvet Easel Table Photo
This nicely preserved table top frame measures 10” x 6” overall with a reveal of 6 ½” x 4 ¾” and a mat reveal of 5 3/8” x 3 5/8” and back rabbet opening of app. 7” x 5” It is crafted of soft wood with very high relief. Crisp molded gesso having a warm glaze in imitation of wood and the sides of the frame have a“ragged” burl glaze. There are no losses in the gesso and the surface shows minor wear. The velvet shows fading(toward gold) of the wine velvet and significant loss to the plush. It has its original brittle pasteboard backing with original twisted wire easel prop. Antique Victorian oak candle stand parlor table with spoon legs. This is a beautiful table that was given to my parents as a wedding gift in 1950. Top measures 24" x 24" It is 29" high, and the lower shelf measures 15-1/2" x 15-1/2" The top needs refinishing, but with a little work, this would be an amazing piece of furniture. Elaborate Victorian End Table Dark Veneer Scollwork Fleur De Lys Spindle Detail
Stately and strong. This gorgeous Victorian side table is the perfect period piece to add to any decor. Constructed of dark wood with a veneer top, the sides and bottom of this table are quite nice. They are comprised of well cut, scrollwork featuring a repeating fleur de lys motif. There are also spindle accents on the underside of each of the four corners of the surface. The table is in good condition for a piece of this age and function. There is a split to the wood at the top of one of the sides. There are also two veneer chips. Which we have noted in the photos. The base also has a victorian lozenge mark& some silver plate hallmarks.It is in great condition& looks stunning from every angle.It measures approx 21" tall. 9" wide at the base& the glass bowl is 8" wide. The quality is of the very highest standard& the detail of the design is very fine indeed.It looks amazing as it is. But in the right setting, on the right piece of furniture it's going to look even better.No damage of any kind, it's ready to use& display but the bowl has been fixed in place with plaster of paris, so may not be the original one.It looks well in keeping though& the price reflects this. It has a monogram engraved to the front of the base. Antique Victorian Brass Spelter Onyx Tavern Table Lamp Stand LION HEAD FEET Base
This amazing table base dates from the middle to late 1800s and appears to be of American origin. It was most likely for a high end pool hall. River boat or similar and stands just 27” x 18 ½” across the MASSIVE cast white metal classical base with roaring lions’ heads, clawed paw feet, anthemion, scrolls and you name it. The 4” diameter column of reeded solid brass pipe is accented by a considerable disc of natural onyx and all of the fittings are cast and engine turned brass with traces of dore color. The surfaces are all original and have not been polished, so you will note spots of tarnish and verdigris under a protective coat of wax. Likewise the base has worn original gold paint under a dark wax polish that accents the details in the casting. The white metal has a missing anthemion and several structural cracks with late bolt repairs ... moreand some baling wire thrown in for good measure. The wrought iron reinforcements appear to be original. It is sturdy and usable and stands just a bit off-kilter.
