It is a solid oak 54 inches quarter sawn top. The table is 30 inches high and when all four leaves are inserted the table becomes 8 feet long. It is a good-looking table with a large reeded center column and a platform base that goes down into the biggest ball and claw feet I have seen in a long time. The table is in a medium oak stain. The bottom shelf. At the narrowest point, measures 15 inches across square. The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. Antique Tiger Oak 1-Drawer Desk/Table with Brass Pulls
This is a beautiful little tiger oak mission-style table I bought at a local estate sale last summer. It doesn't quite fit in the place I was hoping it would. And that is why I am offering it up for auction. It Measures 29" high x 29" wide x 21 1/2" deep. It is a sweet little table that had been in one family throughout its history according to the lady I bought it from. It does have its character flaws(which just adds to its charm! The dove-tailed drawer features the original brass(I think) pulls, but it is broken. The back of the drawer is completely gone and one side of it is cracked toward the back. It looks to me like it was dropped on a corner. The top is a solid piece of wood, and has a slight warp to it. The finish is in good condition, and there are a couple of small dings to the legs. ~ Beautiful Antique Tiger Oak 5 Leg Dining Table w/1 Leaf ~ Up for your viewing is an awesome tiger oak dining table that I purchased from an estate auction about a year ago. I actually purchased two tables. One was round(which I already sold) and this one. They both had been stored in I believe an attic, for they were very dusty and dirty due to being stored for many years. This table appears to have quite a few layers of varnish or stain on it and when they stored it I believe they put a vinyl table cloth on it, the kind with the cotton or felt like lining and through the years of heat and the layers of varnish it has on it the lining somewhat stuck to the top of the table. When I went to clean it up the fuzzy stuff would not come off no matter what I did so we thought we would try a spot with some paint stripper and it come off. That is ... morewhy the spot is on the top. My intentions then was to strip it off and restain it but never had the time to do it and hated to see this beautiful table sit around and need the space so I am selling it as it is. As you can see on the spot that we stripped under all the varnish that was on it the grain is beautiful and on the leaf, it is the natural color. This table is on wheels except for the center one is missing. But I should have one somewhere around here that I will put on it if I do. Also there is a piece of wood that is off on one of the legs as shown in the pictures. Other than that it is very nice. Once it is restained or whatever one wants to go about finishing the top it will look awesome. The table measures 42" square x 30" tall without the leaf and 25-1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the table. The leaf is approx. 12" wide. I have provided several pictures to view. Please view them carefully and ask any questions prior to bidding or purchasing. I will be happy to answer them the best I can. This is the first time I’ve ever seen this model of a tiger sawn oversized library table. ... moreYou can call it a conference table or a library table, but I call it one gorgeous table. It is so heavy. It comes apart in four pieces, the top is actually tiger sawn oak veneer over a laminated ash top that is 1-7/8 inches thick. There’s a seam down the middle where someone must have cut it and then re-glued it to put it into a home because it’s so heavy, without realizing that it’s manageable if you take it apart first. We brought it back from the estate from which we purchased it, stripped it, sanded and stained it, made sure that the seam in the middle was perfectly sound, reinforced the base and the top to make sure it was all good, then refinished it in a beautiful medium amber oak stain. The table dates from probably the 1890s– 1910s, and has a wicked thick round-cornered top, a double column pedestal platform shoe base that is 4 inches thick, big turned spindles in the center, and is joined together with a big cross member. The size of the table is 86 inches long, and it goes across 48 inches across, and is 31 inches high. I am a spread-out type person, myself, and I have a similar table in my office. This is a beautiful Victorian Tiger Oak Quartersawn Solid and Veneer 54" Round table that opens to accept a leaf. We were very attracted to its classic octagonal column resting on a simple curving pedestal base rather than the kind of creepy animal claw bases we saw when we were looking for an antique oak dining table 30 years ago. We lost the leaf having moved twice since we purchased the table at the time we owned a Victorian home. But it would be easy to replace or replicate. The table is 30" tall with skirt 4 1/4" high. The table had a couple of repaired chips to the top when we bought it and over time it has another chip- please see the pics; t here are also some chips on the base- please see the pics. Authentic Antique 1932'HOOSIER' Tiger Oak Dining Table* This is a genuine Hoosier Tiger Oak dining room table with turned legs. It was made by the Hoosier Kitchen Equipment Company of New Castle. Indiana. It has a hidden extension leaf in the center of the table that is connected to hinges on each side. When the sections are pulled apart, the hidden leaf is exposed. It is then raised and jointed together to each section. Underneath, there is a gear that turns on two tracks with teeth as the sections are moved back and forth with ease. There is a metal stamped plate underneath above the gear area. That patent plate shows that this unique design was created& engineered by the Hoosier Kitchen Equipment Company. The table measures 46" long without the extension leaf in place. With the extension leaf. It measures 63" long. ... moreIt is 30" high. The condition is VERY GOOD ++ and it has obviously been well cared for. Still looking beautiful. It does have some'warping' in the center of the table and with the extension pulled up and out. There is still slight warping noticeable but I this could be fixed if you know how? I have used this table for almost 18 years. They do not make tables like this anymore! It does have some nicks and scratches and so forth but they are superficial and I am certain they can also be fixed quickly if you have the'know how' The finish still looks very nice! This table is no doubt a rare and unique example of Hoosier furniture representing fine quality craftsmanship during the first part of the 20th century. Most people are familiar with the Hoosier Cabinets made in New Castle. Indiana. Antique tiger oak dining table with bear claw foot legs and carved pedestal base. Circa 1880s. Table measures approximately 52" in diameter. Set includes the table and four(4) chairs with spindle backs and cane bottoms. The pedestal base has intricate carvings and relief as typical of furniture from this period. The table top and base is in very good condition with no major damages or deep scratches.As with all antiques, the table and chairs reflect the usual wear and tear and imperfections. The table pedestal base has a crank that allows it to separate for expansion, and this sometimes doesn't form a tight connection when in its closed position without some hand adjustment. This table doesn't come with leaves but will extend open to 75 3/4" to allow several leaves to be added if one desired to have the leaves made for it by a handy woodcrafter.This solid oak table weighs approximately 85 lbs. This is a mission or arts and crafts period table. I'm not sure of the exact date. But likely very early 1900s. I believe it to be an American made piece. Appears to be quarter sawn oak with tiger oak grain top. Good condition overall, but needs glue/repair where lower shelf attachs to leg(see photo) Also has one light spot on top. This is a nice tall table that would work in many locations. One center drawer. The top was professionally restored at one time. It is still in good condition.
