It is truly a nice period untouched table. It has a ribbon mahogany top, round corner drop leaves, heavy bold column four legged base, solid cast brass Duncan Phyfe claw foot and built in castors. I normally don’t buy period furniture like this, but I was very impressed by how untouched this piece was. The overall size is 40.5 inches long, 24 inches wide when the leaves are closed, 15 inches wide on each leaf, 52 inches long when the leaves are flipped up. The finish is very nice for being 180 years old. It does show normal nicks, dings and scratches, but I believe it would rub out nicely to make a good presentation.

This English serving trolley is constucted of solid mahogany with turned elements with bun handcarved bun form finials with reeding with three shelves each that have side rails. This English serving cart retains the original brass casters. It is visible on the bottom shelve and on the others that the planks were cut a large saw you can see the deep circular groves. Also in the pictures you can see the glue blocks that have been used as far back as the 18th century in the construction of fine furniture. This beautiful mahogany 3 tier pedestal table stands 41 inches tall. The 3 table tiers measure 12 1/2 inches. 17 1/4 inches, 23 1/4 inches respectively. The table has been lovingly restored to its original glory. There is what looks like a glue mark on the top of the middle table top at the base of the center column. There is a small nick on the finish of one of the feet that shows in the last picture. There is also what looks like a black or darkened spot on the lower table a few inches from the edge, it measures approximately 1/2 an inch long and 1/4 inch wide. The color difference between the second picture and the rest of the pictures is from the flash being used in all but that second picture. It has a solid mahogany folding top with its original brass hinges and it sits on a mahogany veneered pedestal with casters. Beneath the top is a storage area. It stands 29-3/4” high with the top folded closed or 29” high with the top folded open. The top measures 36” x 36-1/2” opened or 18” x 36-1/2” stored folded. The storage area is 15” x 32-1/2” x 2-3/4” deep. Condition: As you can see in the pictures there are several veneer chips. Mostly small, the largest pointed out in one of the pictures below. Being offered for sale is this wonderful American Classic Empire Flame Mahogany Petticoat Pier Table circa 1840. This fine 19th century table measures 36 1/2 in height. 35 1/2 inches wide, 16 1/4 inches in depth(front to back on the top) and weighs approximately 65 pounds. We believe this table to have it’s original finish and has all of the time-worn character that one would expect from of pieces from this era. The lovely large solid mahogany table top provides beautiful display possibilities and rests on a conforming serpentine flamed mahogany apron.A scalloped flame mahogany valance is found beneath the apron just above the original mirror. Substantial flame mahogany scrolled legs with applied roundels at the base connect the lovely large table top to the stepped flame mahogany base which rests on scroll carved legs with the original casters ... moreintact on all four feet. Additional display opportunity is found on the square plateau located in front of the original mirror just above the elegant stepped base. This 19th century pier/petticoat table does have its original mirror which shows some silver loss spots and cloudiness as commonly seen in mirrors from this period. The top surface does show wear to the finish and surface marks and scratches from years of use. The base sides do have some minor veneer chipping nothing major in my opinion but just thought I would mention it. These 19th century tables were referred to as Petticoat Tables because the ladies would use the mirror to check the hem of their dresses to make sure that their petticoats were not being exposed. The classical lines of this table make it a piece that is easily incorporated into any decor and would be a wonderful foyer/ hall table. This is a six-legged. Bellflower inlaid 54-inch round dining room table that comes with factory leaves, three in ... moretotal, with their own special custom rack, and one is even factory skirted. I can’t get over the light reddish brown color, which looks like cherry, and is really breathtaking! The round table comes with the three leaves, one skirted and one inlaid, that measure 10.5 inches wide. When the leaves are installed, the table opens to measure 86 inches long by 54 inches deep, with a height of 31 inches. It is 54 inches when opened without any leaves. It’s really nice to have a factory skirted leaf, because it disguises the ugly gap that’s exposed in tables with no skirts. There is a tiny bit of inlay missing on one of the leaves and the skirted leaf looks like it’s missing some burl and is not done in mahogany, but just inlay stripe. We can, if the buyer desires, skirt the other two leaves. The table has six delicate tapered Hepplewhite legs, all bellflower inlaid. The table itself is all skirted with oval burl panels and tiny little ebony and racetrack inlay with the maple and ebony combination.
