The center pulls out to reveal a laminate tray, and if you lift it up from the front, a makeup mirror. This is for a vintage Bagatelle game. It has a paper label on backside with instructions on game and the manufacture. Part of the label is missing but you can still make out it is Specialty Division by Kittinger Company. Maker of Kittinger distinctive furniture, Buffalo New York. Anything in wood. According to one website http:gamesmuseum.uwaterloo.ca/VirtualExhibits/bagatel/btable.html this is a free standing table game. and he goes on to say"During the 19th century, many types of bagatelle games began to appear in France, in England, throughout Europe, and in North America as well. The photograph at the right is an example from Sweden" This looks just like the same as pictured. This has 11 steel marbles or balls. It originally had a pool stick. This is in good shape with maybe needing a polish. Some spots seem a little dry. Beautiful piece of antique furniture. Not sure what the proper name of this is. I want to call it a"Credenza" If you know and can email it to me by using the ask the seller a question function on Ebay. I would appreciate it. The piece has 2 cabinets with a shelf on each side as well as 2 drawers on top. I would say it is in really nice condition for it's age with the following exceptions: The top looks like it had a small amount of black paint splattered on it. I would think that this can be removed. But I do not want to attempt it and do something to damage the piece. Secondly, see the picture of the top left corner of the top left drawer looks as if it has a small chip out of it. 1974 KITTINGER FURNITURE LIBRARY REFERENCE BOOK - WONDERFUL CONDITION
Great"Kittinger" 1974 Furniture Catalog of their line from that year. The book is in very good condition for its age. There are no missing pages and I did not see any writing on any of the pages. There are a few color photographs throughout the book. Shows all of their furniture pieces plus the Williamsburg and Newport pieces The front and back covers have very slight separations as seen in the photos. The cover is still properly attached, has one bent corner on the cover and and on area of missing paper on the bottom corner. This is a great reference book for any furniture aficionado. Signed Kittinger Side Stand Carved End Table Tin Label Buffalo Furniture 1866
Offered here for auction is a Kittinger Side Table measuring 21 1/2" wide by 13 3/4" in depth by 21" high. This side table needs to be refinished and would be a great quality piece once done. The top has many surface scratches and a white circular water mark(see photos) This piece has carving all the way around it and is missing a small piece of trim.
