This old switch says 9602B on the back. The base is porcelain and the top and switch appear to be bakelite. It is 1 15/16" across and 1 1/2" deep counting the toggle. Welcome to my listing. You are buying a Turn Switch bakelite twist knob nickel porcelain old antique light single pole Great old single pole 2-wire twist switch with a bakelite"ON/OFF" turn button. It was made in the USA by Perkins. It is patent dated on the bottom SEPT 17 1912. The black turn button has PERKINS name cast into it. I tested the switch with a continuity tester and it tests ok. It works by twisting. You stop when the contacts make contact to keep the circuit complete and twist again to turn it off. It is 2 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/8" deep. These all have Nickel plated Brass Tops with White Porcelain Bases and all are on their original Walnut Wood Back Plates. They all have a Bakelite Knob. Five are marked H& H Switch. UND LAB INSP, 8A 250V 5A 125V on the Brass. These are marked The Hart& Hegeman Mafg Co, Hart Switch on the Bakelite Knob. The last one is marked P&S on the Bakelite Knob and Made in USA, Und Lab Insp, P&S 3A 125V 1A 250V on the Brass. These were all Estate found and will need cleaning and new wiring. The Porcelain bases are all in good condition. None of the Brass tops are split however one has a ... morefairly large dent and a couple have very small marks. I am sure these would all polish up just fine. All the Bakelite Switches are in good condition and click as they are meant to do when turned. The Walnut back plates are in good condition. One is missing the bevel edge on one side and is not finished. I assume this was trimmed off to butt it up against a piece of woodwork door jam.
