Push Button Light Switch, Heavy Brass Cover Plate, Tested, Works, Needs Restore
Up for bid is a very old brass push button electric light wall plate and the ceramic electrical box plus the on/off push buttons. Everything you need to restore one light switch in your vintage home back to original. Heavy brass cover measures 2 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches and is 1/8 inch thick very heavy machined brass. You can not bend it. It has been polished out and looks like new again, only missing the two brass mounting screws. Push button switch in ceramic box has been tested with an electrical meter and it does work. But needs to be taken apart and all components cleaned up. Ceramic box is in very good condition with no cracks, breaks or chunks missing out of it. Both switch and and brass cover have a P with and arrow through it for manufacturer. This plate was original equipment(not a reproduction or replacement) in a never-updated northern New Jersey Colonial house built in 1925. Plate was painted on outside with Colonial green wall paint many decades ago. But paint has started to wear off. Would be easy to remove the rest of it to restore original brass finish.
