This old switch says 9602B on the back. The base is porcelain and the top and switch appear to be bakelite. It is 1 15/16" across and 1 1/2" deep counting the toggle. There is a very solid click when flipped. But it has not been tested. Sold AS IS. Please use the zoom feature to check the condition. Welcome to my listing. You are buying a Turn Switch bakelite twist knob nickel porcelain old antique light single pole Great old single pole 2-wire twist switch with a bakelite"ON/OFF" turn button. It was made in the USA by Perkins. It is patent dated on the bottom SEPT 17 1912. The black turn button has PERKINS name cast into it. I tested the switch with a continuity tester and it tests ok. It works by twisting. You stop when the contacts make contact to keep the circuit complete and twist again to turn it off. It is 2 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/8" deep. This is a large lot of new old stock from the 1920's and 30's. There are 19 eletric wall switches in all. All have boxes. 6 are Bryant and made of porcelain, 6 are Bryant and made of Bakelite and callled"Silent Mercury switches" 4 are GE Bakelite switches, 2 are H& H bakelite switches, and the last is a single pole Bryant bakelite switch.
