When you turn the switch off. There is a several minute delay before it switches your light off. According to the advertisment, this would give the user time to get into bed or move out of the room before the lights went of. An interesting concept I must say, too bad it never really caught on making this a pretty rare item. The unit does click several minutes after flipping the switch so I am guessing it still works. I cannot say how reliable these were or are since the item is so old. The packaging is great with Arthurs face printed on it along with the sales pitch! Item packaging is good with no major damage. For sale here are 2 vintage mother of pearl light switch plate covers. Pictures show fronts and backs. They are done in a criss cross brass pattern with what(I think) are pooka or cappa shell inlays. The inlays are each single pieces. So i'm guessing they are handmade. The inlays are opalescent in color. I think the pictures captured pretty well how beautiful they are. There is a number on the inside of the light switch covers that I think reads A629600 and A617900(on the plain one) These are really cool.
