VINTAGE BROWN SURFACE MOUNT ELECTRICAL OUTLET PLUGS BAKELITE ?
Up for auction are 3 surface mounted electrical outlet plugs. These could possibly be Bakelite. The measurements are approximately 1 7/8" wide X 5" long. The wall mounting holes are approximately 3 3/16" apart& visible only on the back side. I see no broken places anywhere on these except around the wiring holes as described below& shown in the pictures. These outlets were all in working order when removed from service but due to age& being stored. They are being sold'As Is' One outlet has a lot of paint on it as shown in the pictures. Please look closely at the pictures as they are a major part of the description. All of the outlets were left in order as the pictures were taken, they were flipped& turned to show various views but always left in the same order so the 1st outlet is the same outlet in ... moreall the pictures, the 2nd outlet is the same outlet in all the pictures& the 3rd outlet is the same outlet in all the pictures. Outlet# 1 has a lot of paint, rough/ broken spots around the edges of the holes where the wires go into the outlet& manufactured by CM. Outlet# 2 has rough/ broken spots around the edges of the wire holes, tape residue, stains, spots of paint& manufactured by GE. Outlet# 3 has rough/ broken spots around the edges of the wire holes, paint spots, stains& manufactured by GE. Outlet# 2 has grounding plugs(3 holes) in it. The wall mounting screws are not included in this auction. However the faceplate screws& all the parts you see in the pictures are included in this auction. Bakelite Electrical Screw Socket Outlet Adaptor Chain Lamp Holder Industrial Art
A lot of vintage adapters. Sockets, outlets. There are 2 pieces that screw into a light bulb socket adding two outlets to the lamp and still having a light bulb socket available on the top. There is a pull chain on both. One is brown and one is cream. There are 2 plugs that convert an outlet to a light bulb socket. One is cream and one is brown. There are two outlet extenders that plug into an outlet and provide 3 outlets. One is cream the other looks to be painted white. The last piece is a screw in outlet that goes into a light bulb socket. There are some marked Leviton, GE, FH. I'm not sure of the age on the pieces. Look to be bakelite and vintage plastic. The first item in the photo the cream colored 3 plug adaptor has a standard 2 prong US plug on the back turning 1 outlet into 3. It is marked Leviton 15A-125V, The second item. The ... morebrown plug bulb adaptor is marked on the plug 660W 125V. It has a standard 2 prong US plug converting an outlet into a bulb socket. The item below this is the brown bulb adaptor. It has a standard US bulb screw that fits into a bulb socket extending it and adds to standard US outlets to the socket. It is marked 250W 125V for the bulb and 660W 125V for the two outlets. It has a ball chain pull cord. In the center of the photo is a GE adaptor converting a bulb socket to an outlet. It is marked 660W 125V, The next item pictured is the cream plug bulb adaptor is marked on the plug 660W 125V. It has a standard US 2 Prong plug adapting an outlet to a bulb socket. Below this is the cream colored bulb adaptor. It has a standard US bulb screw that fits into a bulb socket extending it and adds to standard US outlets to the socket. 10 Vintage Bakelite Electrical Outlet Covers • Hubbell • Uniline • Bryant
This is a great auction for a lot of ten(10) assorted vintage Bakelite electrical outlet cover plates. All of these plates are in good condition.they just need to be cleaned up. I cleaned one of them and the majority of the dirt(and what I'm assuming is tobacco staining) came off with a wet cloth. I'm sure a good cleaner will get them nice and shiny again. There are two with cracks and I took photos of each of these. The first is a hairline crack in the body of one with the decontrol. It's not too noticeable and should still work for its purpose. The other is a very small crack/chip at the screw hole of one of the smooth edged plates. Five of these covers have the deco design pattern along the perimeter of the plate and the other five have a smooth finish. I took separate photos of each group so you can see the difference. On ... morethe wall. You may not even notice. The plates are from three different manufacturers: Hubbell Bryant Arrow? It's a Uniline plate) I also have another listing for a lot of six(6) Hubbell light switch covers that match the deco design of these plates.and they are in phenomenal condition.
