Concentrated Wood Dye Powder - ENGLISH OAK 50g
English Oak Dye Powder 50 gram( As a guide 25g of dye powder will make about 1 pint of full strength wood dye this will cover a large area approx 4- 8 square metres) Simply mix the dye powder with ordinary meths( Meths is not included! We have managed to obtain a limited quantity of very highly concentrated spirit soluble wood dye powder. That is used in the manufacture of commercial sold spirit wood dyes and is also used to colour wax polish, Shellac, French Polish etc. You can make your own spirit wood dye that are every bit as good as branded products for a fraction of the cost. This listing is for one dye in the colour as shown above. All the dye colours are intermixable to make almost any other colour. The Dye colours we have listed in our Ebay shop are: Red. Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Black, Bismark Brown, Victorian Brown(reddish ... morebrown) Georgian Brown(rich brown) English Oak, Light Brown Oak, Medium Brown Oak, Dark Brown Oak, Tudor Oak(very dark brown) American Red Oak, Antique Pine, Mahogany, Ebony, Walnut. We sometimes have other dye colours listed in our Ebay Shop. Wood Dye/ Stain This dye powder is concentrated and extremely powerful. A small amount goes a long way. Use it to make wood dye by simply putting a small amount of dye to some methylated spirits in a glass jar. do not use a plastic jar, as some plastics melt) Give the mixture a stir and a shake and its ready to use. I would recommend adding 5% shellac with the dye as this acts as a binder agent. We have small quantities of shellac powder listed in our Ebay shop) 25g of dye powder will make about a pint of full strength wood dye. French Polish Add a pinch to French polish to give a depth of colour. Wax Polish Add to polish to add colour or change a shade. 12 VINTAGE EARLY C20th OAK WOODEN STAIR RODS& 26 CARPET CLIPS TO HOLD THEM Description. Vintage English oak stair carpet rods dating from early last century. A set of 12. With 26 carpet clips to hold them, the spare pair for an extra rod if required. Slight size variations in length, so they measure a min of 23.5" and a maximum of 24.25" Obviously hand made! The backs of the clips stamped British Made. Very nice reclaimed set. Sorry about the postage, but they are just too long to send by Royal Mail medium parcels and will have to be sent by Parccelforce. Unless you collect of course. Please examine the photos carefully. 4 antique spindles with a railing. Oak??
These spindles came out of our 1800's home. The railing piece will hold 8 spindles but there are only 4 spindles that I have. The railing is 28" long. The height of the spindles is 31 1/2" The ends are 1 1/2" They have been stained but many years ago before we purchased the house. They are in excellent condition. Offered without reserve is a set of 18 old original Victorian era Turned Wood Rug Stair Carpet runner holders from an estate. These would be used to hold carpet runners to the risers on steps and keep the carpet secure and in place. Each one has a hole in the center to run a screw. They are lather turned split quarters of Golden oak wood. They are used and old so they have some edge wear, overall they remain in very good condition. They each measure approx. 3 1/8" long by 3/4" wide, they have the original finish and look very good, hopefully someone can put them to good use!No Reserve! have fun bidding!
