The glass only is approx. 18 x 48. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. This hard to find size window was designed using clear& textured glass in a beautiful& very decorative way. Each of the four larger glass panels used in the decorative design featured in the middle of the window have small ribbed circles made into the glass. I've not seen this particular style of glass before& it definitely caught my eye! The four clear glass panels in the design have a wavytexture. Nice contrast. The two bands of glass on either side of the design are ribbed. The two tiny narrow bands of glass leading down for the design have a tiny tiny beaded texture. The other peekboo panes have a very decorative honeycomb texture. There are two"notches" ... morein the wood on top of the frame where the antique hinges had been attached. The unpainted area on the bottom front of the frame is where another piece of hardware had been attached. The front of the frame is dark brown. The back& sides of the frame are black. This very unusual stained glass window measures 30" x 11 5/8" All of its pieces have been painted and fired in a kiln with the exception two on each end. All the designs are pretty and executed in a very delicate manner. The central motif is a Heron or Egret and a Falcon. I was told that this came from a town house in Newark.New Jersey. Whatever studio produced does fine work but I am unfamiliar with their style and I have been collected stained glass windows for many years. The original frame could not be saved. The leading around the perimeter has been redone. Photo# 5 shows one cracked piece that I stabilized with super glue. It is a tight crack. All hardware intact and an aged painted black finish on one side and an aged painted maroon finish on the other. The glass and joints are absolutely beautiful and in great shape. The jewels are excellent, and the frame and is in great shape. The interior iron bracing rods with iron twists are still present. The sizes are 9"x 38.5" Glass& 12.5" x 42" Overall including the frame The colors are red. Orange, yellow green and a little blue Most of glass is heavily textured as the pictures will show. The glass is in very good condition with no cracks The frame while in good shape may not be perfect& can be stripped. Re painted or stained or left as is, to suit buyer. You will find this collection of colors the perfect collaborating with your home. This stained glass features six large bulls eyes and a wonderful medallion with a nice large jewel in the middle. There are two cracked panes. Four tiny cracks to the blue glass surrounding center medallion and it also has one tiny crack in blue pane as shown. Here is an Antique Victorian Stained or Etched Glass Transom Window- I have 2 of them available. They are from an old Victorian house in Madrid NM- a funky little town- just Outside of Santa Fe. NM. that time forgot. The design is a beautiful lacy flourish pattern with a tiny honeycomb background. The etched glass in these Victorian windows are in great condition. But obviously they could each use a new frame. One has heavy eye loops installed as it was Hung in front of a window. It is in the original frame which is in good shape and is painted on both sides. It measures 32 inches wide by 15.25 inches tall. It is 1.25 inches thick. The glass only is approx. 28 by 11. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. The glazing putty needs filed in. There are a couple of hairlines. It could use a good cleaning. Antique Vintage Leaded Glass Window. Dates from early 1900s The came is zinc rather than the more common lead. Zinc is much stronger and was used for most beveled panels and many clear panels with large pieces of glass. Measures 28" X 14" Can be used as a transom(horizontal design) or vertically.
