An antique Powell& Hanmer HOROSCOPE bicycle oil lamp from the late Victorian era. Everything is firm and works as intended and there are no dents. The two red side lenses and clear front bi-convex lens have no cracks or chips. As you can see the chimney roof is hinged in order to facilitate cleaning and one of the side windows slides up for lighting. The oil reservoir slides out for filling and is sound. There is some cracking on one side of the wick dome(see photo) But this does not affect function. Understandably there has been black paint loss over the years but personally I like the way it is and would't repaint. This little lamp measures just under 5 inches in height.

A pretty little Joseph Lucas& Sons PLANET bicycle oil lamp from the late Victorian(1890's) period. It is an exceptionally good example and by the look of it.It hasn't been used much. The black paint which remains is the original and that which is missing. Reveals in main, bright base metal. All lenses are sound with no chips or cracks- front clear lens is bevelled and the two side lenses are red. There are no dents and everything works as intended. In summary a fine example and hard to find better. Height-just under 5 inches.

Antique Black Victorian 1881 Wrought Iron Holder and Glass Oil Lamp You are bidding on a beautiful wrought iron holder with the glass kerosene oil lamp and mount. It is in very good condition an d mounts to the wall beautifully. It does have a small part that looks like it b roke off a t one time at the tip. The third picture show s the ver y high est tip of the wrought iron is flat. It possibly was made that way. But I am not sure. It measures approx. 12" long and 8" tall. It reads"PAT' D JUNE 1 1881" which is imprinted in the wrought iron(see third pic) The glass oil lamp is in very good condition and free from chips or cracks. Great old brass maritime oil lamp. At first I thought this to be a table gimble lamp but perhaps it could be a wall mount. The base is weighted and it pivots both at the outter ring and the lamp itself which would support the fact of it being a table lamp. Condition is very good. Burner reads Queen Anne No. 0. Some of the stamping is not legible. Lamp stands 2 3/4" to the hinge and has no holes or cracks. A little shallow denting on the spout, evidence of some residue inside but no visible rust. It appears that someone attempted to attach or repair the upper and lower half with hot glue as scene in the photo. It was purchased this way. I am not an antique expert. Up for auction is this beautiful P&A early pedestal glass oil lamp. Got this one at an old barn sale in Maine. It was beyond dirty! A little elbow grease and it's a beautiful as ever. Everyone thought I was crazy for even buying it! It's in good shape. No cracks or chips. The fount where the oil is kept is still a tiny bit cloudy. The lamp is typical of lamps made circa 1880's- 1915. It does say Made in US America on the wick knob. It has a couple of small chips on the bottom of the top globe, they cannot be seen when top is attached to lamp. Beautiful hand painted daisies. The lamp has been electrified and lights up top& bottom. Cord is going bad, should be replaced. I would consider any fair offer. Stunning design its beautifully decorated and I understand is more likely to be from a native tribe than from the Roman occupiers as it decoration is more typical.
