The library and its furnishings were built and created in 1959-1960. The interior also featured Florence Knoll chairs and tables. This Mid Century. Architecturally inspired sofa is extremely unusual in that it has a"pull-out" feature that creates a deeper seating area or daybed for one. Seldom seen. We spoke with the librarian at the location, who had been there for 30+ years, and were told that the chairs and sofa had been recovered in the late 1970's. It measures 76" long, 28" high, seat is 30" deep and 36" when extended. The pull out feature works smoothly. The seat cushion is not attached. It has a square tubular brushed chrome and steel frame and legs and light blue tweed fabric. There is a frayed area on the front bottom right corner of the bottom platform and there is some minor discoloration but it has not been steamed cleaned. Antique 1920's? Solid Wood Fishing Pole Metal Parts Sectional
You are bidding on an antique solid wood and metal fishing pole that I believe to be from the 1920's. The pole does not have any manufacturers markings but i had an expert look at it and date it from the'20's. The pole divides into 2 sections at a metal joint. The place where the reel mounts onto the pole is metal as well. At the top end of the rod is a metal guide with a glass coating on the inside. The glass looks a little cracked. The strange thing about this pole is that there is only one guide(at the very end of the rod) and there is no evidence of it ever having any more guides at any point. The rod is made of a solid. Dark hard wood(not sure what type) There is a crack in one part of the wood just above the reel mount. Other than that it seems like it is great condition, especially considering it may be almost 100 years ... moreold! It measures 68 in. tall. This rod would be a perfect display piece for any collector of fishing gear. They definitely do not make rods of this quality anymore. Please check out the pics! Antique Stackable Sectional Book Case Display Globe Wenicke Co. 5 Piece Wooden
Up for sale today. I am offering an antique stackable sectional book case. This is a beautiful antique. The wood is all original. To me, it looks like mahogany but I cannot be sure. The wood has some cracking and wear that is typical with wooden antiques. However, they are pretty solid and still in great condition, especially for their age. These all stack in a specific order. They look wonderful when all stacked together. A couple of these still have their The Globe Wernicke Co stickers on them. The glass is in great condition on all the sections as well. The top section has two knobs. Sections 2-4 have one knob in the center of the front. The last section has one knob on one side and it seems as if there is a missing knob on the opposite side. The second section down has a piece of wood that has fallen from the inside but it looks like ... moreall it needs is a screw and it should go back up. This is a beautiful unit, a truly excellent addition to any collection. When all put together it measures 66 1/2" tall x 34" wide x 9 3/4" deep. Up for Auction-Antique The Globe-Wernicke Co. Sectional Bookcase. Made in Cincinnati. Ohio. Also called a barrister's bookcase. The bookcase is in overall great condition. Nothing appears to be missing, all hardware is intact and working. Some scratching that comes along with being an antique is present on the top and sides of bookcase. Only flaw is that the 3rd shelf glass on the bottom left is cracked. The glass is still intact but held together with tape to prevent further damage. Also, all tension hinges are in place. This oak bookshelf is in good condition with some dings and scratches from years of use. The unit is five pieces consisting of base. Three shelves and top. At some point, the back panels were replaced, so I do not know the manufacturer. Outside dimensions are 50 1/2 inches high 34 1/4 inches wide. The top two shelves can handle books 10 inches deep and 11 inches high. The bottom unit can handle books 10 inches deep and 13 inches high. This is a wonderful bookcase with six-glass-door sections that dates from the 1900s-10s. Made by the Weiss Furniture Company, which ... morewas well-known for its high-quality office furniture. This one is in the mission style, has been completely refinished in a dark oak stain, has its original brass knobs, and it does look like the glass is all original, though I can't guarantee it because sometimes in this light I can't tell if the glass is wavy. The wood itself is all solid oak. It has a base with four simplistic square legs in the mission style. The coolest thing is that it is all original on the inside finish, with its original Weiss stickers on every back panel. Another unusual thing about this is that the doors are all the hard-to-find heights. Every door on the bookcase is 14.5 inches tall. That means that when you open the bookcase, it gives you 12.5 inches of height, and 10.5 inches of depth. The width of the inside of each section is 32 inches. The overall height is 106 inches tall. Its height may mean you would like to take the base off so it would fit in a room with a normal 8-foot ceiling. ANTIQUE 1920 MILLER SECTIONAL TOY CHRISTMAS FENCE COMPLETE SET
This is an antique toy christmas fence. It was made by the Miller Toy Company in 1920. It is made with wood. Reed or wicker and metal. The set is complete with 2 gate sections, 10 fence sections and 12 fence posts. The larger fence sections measure 11" long each not counting the metal loops at both ends to hook the sections together and 5 1/4" tall. The 2 gate pieces are 5" long by 5" tall and the red gate posts are 6" tall. I started putting this together on my kitchen counter but as you can see from the pictures I had to squeeze it out of shape to get it to fit on. As for the condition I would say its in good shape for being 93 years old. Three of the large fence sections are missing one loop or a partial loop at the top. One of the larger fence sections is missing 2 loops and has another partial broken loop. Both ... moreof the gates are missing all 3 loops on the tops. Also on the fence pieces there are some missing little short pieces here and there at the bottoms. All 12 fence posts are in good condition with age related dings and paint loss. The original box is included but is in rough rough shape. It is only held together with all types of different tape and that is barely holding it together.
