Vintage LETTER S SIGN Advertising INDUSTRIAL CHANNEL Marquee Wall Art Home Decor
Up for auction is one vintage"S" sign piece. This is one neat old"S" The main body looks to be made from tin/galvanized steel? And the red and gold look like maybe plastic? The main body was painted at some point maybe? The red and gold front is in decent shape for its age. It shows some scuffing on the red, and weathering on the top edges of the gold where the sun and weather hit it. However, it looks nice! The Front can be removed for access to the internals. Although, the neon is no longer inside: I am sure it would be easy to re install neon if so desired. It measures 22 1/4" tall. 11 1/4" wide, and 6" deep. It has various mounting holes, and is drilled for neon. It also only weighs just under 7lbs, so could be hung on a wall easily! Vtg Antique Industrial Porcelain Marquee Lighted Letter S Interior Design Lamp
For your consideration is a great looking antique marquee sign letter. The letter"S" sign features a porcelain finish and 8 intact bulb sockets(standard bulb base) The sign measures 19 1/2" tall x 13 1/4" wide x 2" deep. Without bulbs(bulbs are not included) The top of the sign still retains a grease pencil marking of the sale date and price"1929- $50. The porcelain finish does have chips and rust. The cobalt blue and white is bright and very cool! All original sockets are in good working condition. I put a 10' length of new cloth covered 18 gauge wire with an old fashioned two prong plug on the light to show that it works and will include that.
