You will be bidding on a GREAT Plateau beaded indian bag. It is made up of cut glass beads. And they shimmer as you turn the piece from side to side. It has a royal blue background with dark and light blue in the flower, and dark and light green on the leaves. NICE! It measures 9" x 10" not including handle. The handle is about 27" long. It has 2 spots of red beads missing to edge, oterwise the bag is excellent. It is a super soft doe skin leather, that looks to be sinew sewn. The liner to inside is satin like, and later machine stitched with cotton thread, maybe added later in time. The piece is from c 1920 era. Antique Pawnee Tribal Princess Beaded Headband cut glass seed beads 1900ca
This is a Pawnee Princess ceremonial headband that I acquired from the granddaughter of a Pawnee Tribal Princess who lived in the Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the last century. This headband is from the early 1900s. The headband is made from Czechoslavakian cut-glass seed beeds that had been traded to the Pawnee Tribe. The headband measures 18 1/2" long and sits 4 1/2" at tallest spot. It is backed with a cotton muslin material. This headband is very old. So please look closely at the beadwork. There are a few blemishes along the top edge of the headband. For the most part, the headband is in very excellent condition. The headband was mostly kept packed in a trunk belonging to the grandmother and was worn only on a few occassions by the granddaughter to ceremonial stomp dances. Beautiful and heavy clear glass CENTERPIECE BOWL or fruit bowl with a tall pedestal and lovely beaded edge that resembles Imperial's Candlewick glass(but it isn't) It has a delicate wheel-cut or etched pattern(see picture 3) all around the bowl. I don't recognize the pattern and there's no maker's mark, but the beaded edge looks exactly like the edge on the Paden City"Gazebo" pattern from the 1930s. I suspect it's the same glass blank that was used in"Gazebo" but with a wheel-cut garland pattern instead of the usual etched design. It measures 10 inches(25.4cm) in diameter. And stands 5 inches(12.7cm) tall at the rim. It is in good used condition but not perfect. There is one glass bead missing from the edge(pictures 6 and 7) and a few very faint surface scratches are ... morepresent. It is old. And there are a few small bubbles in the glass(normal for old and/or handmade glass) It is a high quality glass bowl, and quite heavy. Because of the damage to the edge, I am starting this with a low minimum bid. All my items are from a SMOKE FREE home. AMETHYST SHOT GLASS CORDIALS (2) ETCHED CUT BEADED PURPLE
This item is a set of two different designs of amethyst cordials or shot glasses. These are lovely purple amethyst glasses. One is shaped like a miniature drinking glass. Smaller at the bottom curving out and straighter towards the top. The base is thicker and rounded. There are four X's etched/cut into the sides of the glass and the color is darker at the base and lightens as you get closer to the top. The measurements of the glass is 2 3/8" high by 1 1/4" across the base and 1 3/4" across at the top. The other glass is tulip or bell shaped and the purple amethyst color is consistent throughout the glass. There are alternating rows of beads and ribs, 3 of each and the base has a circle of beads in the center of the flat ring base. The measurements are 1 5/8" high by 1 15/16" across the top. The condition of these ... moretwo glasses is very good with no chips, no cracks and no scratches. The taller glass on the bottom 1/3rd of the glass does not have the smooth texture as the rest of the glass, it's not really rough but feels textured or etched(hard to describe) I do not believe this is damage, but how the glass was made. Antique Victorian? Micro Cut Glass Beads Beaded Bag Indian Motif Bottom?
This is a very fine beaded bag that I found an estate sale. The beads are cut glass and very very beautiful blue. There is a strange motif on the bottom that looks Native American to me I'm really unsure about the origin and whereabouts in history of the bag. I've shown to a lot of antique experts and nobody was really sure except for that one told me that it was a Victorian bag. The decanter has a pattern of beaded insets and sort of a sunburst pattern. The decanter is very heavy and has a tall faceted stopper. The decanter measures about 15 ½" tall with the stopper. Fabulous Steel cut micro beaded purse with glass jewels, gorgeous ca.1900
Lovely vintage steel cut micro beaded purse. Very fancy, ca. 1900 A lovely purse with so much detail. A friend lost her mother several years ago and this is part of her estate. She collected purses for many years, and now we are selling them, one by one. I am not an expert on old purses, but I enjoy them because my mother also collected them many years ago, so I know a little about them. This is a heavy purse. Only because it is steel cut micro beads with a very decorative metal frame and handle.The purse frame is in good working order and closes tightly. The 4 large royal blue and black beads in the chain handle are glass, there are also 2 metal hollowed out beads that have been enameled in white and black, very pretty. The decorative clasp is decorated with ruby red and emerald green cabochons, white pearls, also green and clear glass beads, ... morevery ornate, none of them are missing. The large royal blue bead in the center of the clasp is chipped and cracked, but doesn't appear to be loose in the clasp. The inside of the purse is a satiny royal blue. At the top there are a few streaks of lipstick stain, and one small makeup stain. The bottom of the purse lining looks clean. Lining also has a pocket. Both the lining and pocket have no holes. There are no beads missing as I can tell. And the purse is well stitched to the purse frame. There is an area on the back side of the purse. Near the edge where the beads are rusted. The area measures about 1 3/4" long x 1/2" wide. One of my pictures shows this area. Colors: This purse is gorgeous in colors that are so rich to the eye. It looks like an old Persian rug. As far as I can tell no beads are missing. Bead colors are rich shades of brown, metallic gold,bronze, royal blue, olive green and black. Frame is intricate in design. Very fancy. Purse is stitched well to the frame. Chain is a heavy. Almost looks braided, if it were to be removed from the frame it would look like a necklace, so pretty. Blue Stones on Beaded Body, France Maker: Unknown Hallmarks: Stamped“MADE IN FRANCE” on the inside(photo#10) Pattern: Gold beads fill the background and silver beads run diagonal across the body. Groups of bright blue stones set in silver‘cups’ are attached in groups of three between the diagonal lines. A magnet tells me that the gold beads are glass and the silver beads are cut steel. The loop fringe is made up of the same beads. The frame is gold-tone and has a light chased pattern. The bag opens with a kiss lock that works just fine and has more bright blue stones on its tips; the sides line up perfectly when closed. Size: M easures 14” from the top of the handle to the bottom of the fringe– ... morewhich is 1-1/4” long. The width at the frame is 5-1/2” and just where the fringe begins is 6” wide. Has a gorgeous paperclip chain handle with a drop of 6-1/2” There are 22 beads per inch on this bag. The blue stones attached to the body of the bag are about 3mm in size and there are 49 on each side. Features: This purse is lined with a gold fabric that has a pocket on one side. Personalization: No personalization Condition: Much of the fringe is gone– I do have some loose beads that I’ll include with the purse but nowhere near the amount that has fallen. The only other problem is that the purse body and lining are pulling away from the frame and need to be put back. The lining is tearing in a few places but certainly is fixable. No missing blue stones. There might be a bead or two loss under the hinges– hard to tell. Please look closely at the photographs since they are an important part of the description.
