I am selling a pair of Mid 19th century Empire octagonal pedestals these are about 5 feet tall and 9 inches in diameter. The top section is faux painted and the lower section seems to be an Ash veneer. They are in fairly good condition with some cracking to the veneer. They look as though they had been set up as floor lamps. They were in a house owned by a famous Seattle interior designer that I renovated and amongst many imported antiques. It is 60 inches long by 48 inches wide and includes a metal ring style pullout for a 12 inch leaf which brings it to 72 inches. Very Good condition and Sturdy. Some scratches but nothing significant- Restore-a-Finish will quickly bring the luster back. I hate to sell it. But it doesn't fit in my new place and I've got nowhere to store it. 2 Large Primitive Antique Hand Made Wood Blocks Great Pedestals We went to the flea market this weekend. And I’m going to sneak out to a barn sale today- so wish me luck, I’m sure it will be a cccchhhilllling experience at minimum! I’ve got lots of primitives this week for you- antique and charming, as well as advertising, artwork, material- there’s something for everyone! I have no idea what these two were made for- they are clearly blocks. But with the hand drawn lines that you see all over- forming grids of squares on every side- I have to wonder if they didn't have some type of purpose- not toy blocks, I mean. They are very old, and came out of the bottom of an auction box lot, so I do not know their history, but they are very very cool. One block measures 3" square, and the other is just a teeeenie smidge smaller- more like ... more2 15/16" square. Both are heavy- a smidge under 3/4 lb each. Both are in excellent solid and sturdy condition with loooots of rustic wear- scratches, scrapes, dings, rubs, nicks, dark spots and light spots. I'm showing you one dark spot in photo 7 that looks very much like and ink stain. It was love at first sight for these- I thought they would make perfect pedestals for your pretties- or even added to your bowl fillers- you can't go wrong, they're primitively perfect! antique mahogany plant or fern stands, pedestals with or without marble tops
for auction is a very nice pair of mahogany pedestals or plant stands. they have marble tops with them. But some may prefer to use them without the marble as the tops are finished nicely and show nice mahogany grain. the marble tops are used in the most part to protect the tops from water rings etc. so you can take them or leave them. the tops are not original to the pedestals. i would like to apologize for all the dust, i did not realize how dirty they were until i looked at the pictures. anything you see on the tops or anywhere is something that will wipe right off. also, although these pedestals look like a pair, they do not match exactly, they are the same height and diameter but there are some minor differences in them, ie. in the feet and rings and contours on the shaft. they go great together, but again they are not identical. i am ... morelisting them together and the price will buy both, however, if you only want one, let me know and we can work it out for the purchase of one or i can relist them as singles. they are 32 inches tall with the marble, a bit over 31 without it. the diameter of the marble tops is 14.25, the diameter of the mahogany tops are 31.5 inches. the diameter across the toes at the bottom is a bit over 17 inches. they are a nice set of antique pedestals and look good together and are hard to tell apart unless you scrutinize them closely. they may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. they can go usps, ups, fedex, or greyhound. good luck.

The San Carlos Hotel was built at the Turn of the Century and was very popular with many celebrities and dignitaries during WWII. The San Carlos has since been torn down. Each sink had a single leg. But if one needed they could incorporate these as a pair to a larger sink. These pedestals are solid porcelain(not porcelain glazed on metal) They are each 22 7/8" long x 3 11/16" at the top x 1 5/8" at the foot and weigh 7 lbs. each. They are in fantastic shape with no chips. Cracks or even crazing of any kind. The porcelain surface is bright and shiny. One pedestal does have two small silver paint spots near the top. Antique pair of Edwardian marquetry pedestals stands 19th century
This pair of pedestals is each 43 inches tall. They are not an identical match. They are inlaid with urns on the front and near the top. They have borders made of an exotic wood. These are English from the Edwardian period. They date to the late 19 th or early 20 th century. Each pedestal has a little bit of veneer missing on a bottom corner. There are some other small chips to the wood but nothing significant. A similar pair sold at an auction in England last year for $3700. Please see photos for details. Vintage Carved Winged Lion Pedestals-R J Horner Style-Victorian-Antique-38" Tall
Pair of vintage Winged Lion wooden pedestals/ stands. In the Victorian style of a R J Horner piece. I do not know the history of these pieces. The age and origins are unknown. 38" high. Top is 12" by 12" Bottom base is 15" by 15" Hand carved wood. Wood type is unknown. Wood looks to be pieces laminated together before carving and then stained. They are both nicely hand carved. Similar but different. Both are well done. The basic design is the same but one has a more refined shape and carvings. They are a pair and belong together! Very nice surface and very even stain work overall. Very nice and even patina. Base stain work a bit sloppy. Easy touch up. Beautiful glass eyes. No cracks. Missing wood, or damage visible. A couple of scuffs of wall paint on edges. Those should come off with waxing. Top is slightly loose ... moreon one. There are 4 large screws holding this on. I did not try to tighten. It is slightly loose, not coming off. Inside bottom bases have some amateur glue strips and fresh screws attached. I don't know why but they are solid. Top had a piece of marble that rested on top. Marble is missing on one but you would want to pick your own.stone anyway! Large nicely carved Victorians that have a lot of personality and display very well! I do not want to ship these because of possiblility of damage. Local pick up is being offered on this. I am in Los Angeles. Up For Auction This auction is for a pair of mid to late 19th century carved architectural wood trim offs. Identical pieces feature ornately carved Greek acanthus leaves and Victorian floral design. These beautiful corbels came from the estate of a collector specializing in French style interior design and architectural salvage. We believe the type of wood to be cherry or pecan. This capital would fit a column 5" in diameter. Pieces each measure 5 3/4" tall. 6 1/2" wide. If they were affixed to the wall, they would measure 4 3/4" deep at the deepest point. Each capital weighs 2 pounds. There is a small chip to one scroll. The finish on the wood is completely original and we have made no attempt to touch up or otherwise repair or change these lovely pedestals. When looking at the figures the elephants are the ones to have been glued at the top where the two top pieces are, not all have been glued. They are made of wood painted black(ebonized) The mounts were originally all gold gilt Dore Bronze(loos to retain much of the original gilding under discoloration from being 100 + years old. Each measures about 3 feet high and 8 inches wide at the top(1 foot 7 inches wide at the base) The stands are in good all original condition with some wear and some losses to the finish and wood from age and use(see photos) I would date these to be 125 +/ years old. You are bidding on a lot of 4 Antique Early American Pressed Glass pedestal supports used in Old General stores. Soda Fountains, etc in the early 1900"s to support glass shelves, display hats or other merchandise, window displays, etc. They each can unscrew in the middle to become 2 separate pieces. 2 have brass colored bands and 2 have silver colored bands. They are very clear and shiny heavy glass. There are a few small manufacturer straw marks and the inside edge lip of one has some roughness(chippy) about 1 inch in length. This does not even show when displayed. They all are the same size and width. Etc. They measure 12 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches across the base. Please email any questions. Always willing to answer. A MAJESTIC PAIR OF ANTIQUE IMPERIAL SATSUMA FOO LIONS ON PEDESTALS
This is a pair of guardian foo lion figurines on pedestal. The decoration of these small monuments is imperial satsuma at its finest. There is so much refinement. Imagination and creativity realized in the making of these figurines. Their bodies are studded with gilt mons; their gilded tails stand up like flames; their manes are embellished with gilt curly scrolls; bead patterns are abundant. The male has his mouth open; the horned female has her mouth shut.The four sides of their pedestals are each decorated with floral motifs and symbols. The pieces are unmarked but they were probably made in the 1890's to the early 1900's. The base measures 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" the height from base to the top of the mane is 6 1/3" There is one chip the size of a pinhead or two on the right base molding of the female pedestal. I found these early glass shelf support pillars in an upstairs storage area of a long closed store in a small town in NW Ohio. They are a little over 12 inches tall. One has a tiny hairline in the metal screw area which I photographed and one has an in the making bubble in one area. Nice clean pieces.
