Here's a 1st class relic of Saint John Neumann complete and intact In 1835. John Neumann completed his studies for the priesthood in Europe. At this time there was an overabundance of priest, so bishops were not ordaining anyone. St. Neumann wrote to the bishops in North American and was ordained by the Bishop of New York in 1836. He was assigned to Germanspeaking communities around Niagara Falls. In 1852 he was appointed Bishop of Philadelphia. Criticized by many influential, wealthy Catholics because he was not charismatic, eloquent, handsome or refined and had a thick accent, St. Neumann had an uphill battle as he built new churches, organized the first Catholic diocesan school system, founded the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis of Philadelphia, and originated the Forty Hours Devotion. St. John Neumann is best known for his ... moreextraordinary spirituality, intense devotion to the Eucharist and selfless commitment to the service of all people.

First Class Relic + Saint John Neumann + Silver Locket Reliquary This is an amazing relic! The reliquary itself appears to be some kind of silver. It is a locket reliquary. But still very fitting to hold this relic. The reliquary is round with a diameter of 3/4 of an inch. There is a nice round hook to attach to a necklace or cross or to hang in any way. The relic comes out of the locket, in case there is a need to place in another reliquary. The glass on the front is in great condition. The relic is placed on a star shaped white piece of linen and surrounded by red fabric. On the back of the relic is the detailed wax seal and red threads. The wax seal clearly shows the shield of the Redemptorists. The detail in the wax seal and the condition of the wax and threads is incredible! The relic is identified as"S. Jo. Neumann" The original ... moreowner told me it was first class, but I don't have a document to prove it. This is a great relic and in great condition. eBay Policy prohibits the sale of human remains. John Neumann Bishop of Philadelphia for a short time in 1852 and died in 1860 unexpectedness by collapsing and died suddenly. He was also the first male American Saint. He was also Redemptorist Order in 1841. in 1847 he was appointed Vice-Provincial of the Redemptorists in America. In 1851 he was made pastor of St.Alphonsus Church in Baltimore. Most of his adult life was done in teaching the children the ways of the Catholic world, and God. He also had 4 Churches in 900 square miles of Territory, which he was able to take care of the needs of his 400 scattered families. His 2 greatest loves was for Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament& for the Blessed Virgin Mary these were his 2 outstanding devotions in his life. Whenever he came upon a knotty problem, he said to the people, lets say the rosary first& then we will settle the problem. ... moreOne of the highlights of Neumann's life was his presence at the proclamation of the dogma of Mary's Immaculate Conception. If it is true, as is often said, that he held the book for the Holy Father to read the Decree. We can well imagine that he must have been ecstatic. The medal is 3/4" silver alloy& it is truly a relic of this very energetic person who did become a Saint. And I have other medal of John Neumann, however some are of Blessed J. Neumann, some are of John Neumann, and this one is of the Bishop J. Neumann, relic medal. All are slightly different, but all are dedicated to a very noteworthy person who did a lot in his short lifetime here on earth. He was born March 28, 1811& died 1860. I also want to add that I have 2 medals here under this number, and the one is Bishop John Neumann, and the other one is the one that you see is John Neumann CSSR EP Philadelphia, so in buying this I need to know which one you would want to get. Please let me know. Both are the same dress& picture of J.Neumann, both have the same relic. The price would be for each medal not for both. A miracle is an extradordinary event, produced by God in a religious context which is beyond the powers of corporeal nature, or at least extremely unlikely from the standpoint of those powers alone. Such events are a sign of supernatural activity. Pope Benedict XIV set the conditions for the official acceptance of a miracle in his classic work on the Beatification and Canonization Process in the mid 1700's. And essentially these conditions still stand today. They are: The illness must be serious and difficult to cure. The illness must not be in its final phase. No remedy must have been taken during the illness. Or if it has it must be shown to be ineffective. The cure must be instantaneous. The cure must be complete. There must have been no crisis which may have acted as a catalyst for the cure. The cure must be permanent. This demonstrates the traditional caution the Church employs in officially recognizing miracles. For example. These requirements have been in use at Lourdes, France for decades.
