Antique Reliquary Relic Crucifix Cross Rosary Lot of 3 St. Elizabeth St. Dominic
This listing is for a lot of 3 antique wood rosaries. All in tact, containing three different reliquary crucifixes with relics from Saints Elizabeth, Dominic and a third that I am unable to decipher the writing. The Saint Elizabeth rosary also has a St. Benedict medal attached to it. The inscription inside reads"Agnus Dei Vincentia S. Elisabeth" I am not 100% sure which Saint Elizabeth this is a relic for. My research tells me the word"vincentia" in Latin means triumphant but I am not sure if that is its intended use here. The crucifix measures approximately 2 inches long and is also engraved on the back"Alba Roma P.L.L. Paolo" which may have been the name of its owner, a nun perhaps. The third and largest rosary has the inscription that I cannot decipher, other than"Agnus Dei" This rosary also has a Pope Pius and Saints Peter and Paul medal attached to it. The crucifix measures 2 1/2 inches tall. All three rosaries close with a tiny screw in the bottom. These rosaries came from a large lot of rosaries acquired in Europe. I am not an expert in religious relics so am only conveying what I see on these items.

And the 2 rosary pouches show signs of wear. There are some rather interesting relics in this lot. It contains 1 celluloid pin that appears to be hand painted with flowers and wording. Jesus Never Fails, also a tiny framed litho of Virgin Mary that has a hook on the back use to hang it up. Also a celluloid rosary which is however missing the cross. And also a 1/20th 12K gold filled medal of Hands folded in prayer, on a chain and a gold filled medal of St Benedict marked France. This medal is on a chain, that is not necklace length or bracelet length, Some Believe. The St Benedict Medal is suppose to have exceptional powers against the Demons from hell.

St. Maria was a virgin martyr beatified(1947) and canonized(1950) by Pope Pius XII. The Portiuncula, Mother Church of the Order of Francis(where the Order of Franciscans formed) is near Assisi, Italy, where St. Francis lived most of his life.
