Two Vintage Antique York Pottery England Arts & Crafts Vases PAIR Ranleigh
Marked"YORK" 6" and"Made in England" I believe these were made by the Ranleigh Pottery during the 1920's. Measuring 6.5" tall and 4.75" wide, they feature cold painted fruit decoration on both sides. I think this type of pottery was called"chalkware" and this"chalkiness" can be seen on these vases. The cold paint remains mostly intact but any little nick, scratch or rub produces the chalk. I did little more than dust this pair. There are no chips or cracks and they are good English Arts and Crafts Era pieces. International bidders are welcome with the understanding that these will likely have to fly via Priority Mail at a cost of nearly $50.

Here is a pair of fine antique Asian bronze vases or urns. Most likely Japanese or Chinese. Each features a motif of raised birds, tree limbs, flowers and leaves with clouds above the scene. Top neck features a raised design with a diamond patterned rim edge. The color is a deep and dark brown with scattered green patination to a dark chocolate brown near bases and top rim. There is a very minor impact mark to the flared area near bases(unnoticable without very close inspection) with minor impacts at the base rim, otherwise both are in VERY FINE +++ condition and much nicer than pictured. The detailing is fantastic with a great nature subject matter. Each measures just over 10" high with 6 3/4" wide top openings. I believe these date pre 1900 and are both unmarked. The pair have manufacturing flaws that I show in the photos; both have hairline stress cracks on base from firing, a flaw at the top of one(pic#4) one tiny small chip at tip of one flower. Caldwell and Co of Philadelphia. These pieces are simply gorgeous. The pierced rim is solid, heavy and cast and decorated with fabulous flowers, leaves, scrolls and latticework and flares just like the horn of a coronet. The body and base of the the vases are completely hand engraved with matching swirls, scrolls and flowers. Both vases are monogrammed EP in a cartouche in the midst of the engraving just below the cast rim. The underside of the vases is marked J.E. Caldwell& Co. Sterling and C137. And Napoleonic"N" emblem on opposite side, plus Greco-Roman mask handles. Condition is very good. There is a small crack visible on the inside at the base of one vase, and two short hairlines visible on the exterior. There is a shallow chip about one inch long, along the underside of the lip of one vase, which is only partially visible from above. There are a couple firing cracks under gilding, and one of the metal stems appears to have been replaced. There is rubbing loss to the gilding on one mask, and very slight variation to the gilding color on one handle, suggesting ... morethis area may have been restored and regilt. They measure full 6 in height, 1 ¾ in diameter to the top and 2 in diameter to the base. The metalwork is in excellent condition. They show the original Old Silver finish plating with some rubbing to the plate(see pictures) but do not detract to the beauty of the vases. SIGNED ROYAL RUDOLSTADT HAND PAINTED POLYCHROME COBALT& GILT VASES WITH GRIFFIN HANDLES CIRCA 1910 This exquisite pair of vases in the French taste were made by Royal Rudolstadt. Beautifully hand painted. These vases have ribbed vertical panels of fruit and vines and gold enameled griffin handles on platform bases. The vases stand approximately 13 1/4" high by 5 3/4" wide. They are marked underfoot with the blue crown Royal Rudolstadt mark which was in use between 1895 and 1924. The vases are in outstanding overall condition with some light wear and some minor loss of gilt. One exception is that one of the handles has possibly had a very minor repair- see the last photo.

Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Pair Vases - Edwardian Era, 1903
These antique sterling silver vases are from the Edwardian era; hallmarked in Sheffield. 1903 by Walker& Hall. The pair are in the Art Nouveau style and feature scroll detailing to the stems, scalloped edges and add elegance without being elaborate. They would compliment a contemporary home decor or a traditional one. What I love about them is that they add an edge of history to plain, handmade, white service or tableware. Gorgeous! Each vase measures 8 inches tall. By 3.25 inches in diameter. The vases are filled at the base for balance. Each vase's base has been covered. By their previous owner, some sort of leather material. This item is pair(2) of matching sterling silver based. Elegant wheel-cut glass 11 inch bud vases, with both vases in excellent overall lightly used condition. The sterling portion of both vase is in excellent condition, with no dents or other flaws, and the glass section of both vases is likewise in excellent condition with no chips, no hazing, no sick glass, nor are there any other flaws of any kind. Both vases stand 11 inches tall, and both sterling bases are marked with'Web, Sterling' Obviously, Web Silver made the sterling bases, but we have no idea of who made the glass portion of the vases. Since both vases match so well, we will list and sell them as a pair. Vases stand 11 inches tall, and sit on a base that is 2-1/2 inches in diameter. I believe the pattern is called"Fabulous Dragon" but I stand to be corrected. They have a"high glaze" finish and in the photographs. Some light is being reflected. Each stands 9 inches(22.5cm) tall. The bases carry the Fukagawa mark for 1895- 1925. Please see photographs. They weigh just over 1kg each so would overseas bidders in particular please note the shipping costs BEFORE bidding. Up for bid is a PAIR of modern Tiffany vases in extra large form and shape. Such an impressive size that they would make a strong statement no matter how nor where used. On first glance. They appear to be a matched pair, but on closer inspection they are not. They're close but not exactly the same. They are so close that one wouldn't notice the difference if they were flanking either end of a fireplace mantel, for example. Of course they would work well as singular vases in different locations where a large arrangement is desired. The shapes are identical; the difference between the 2 is that the slanted decorative molding is wider and larger on one than the other. Pair of antique high glaze majolica vases formed as bulbous plants. Naturalisticly moulded but the species is unknown to me. Maybe they are just an artistic creation. No makers mark but probably of German origin, dating from the late 19th century. Marked"1872" on the bottom. Vivid colours with turquoise interior and a lovely glossy finish. Small chip on the bottom edge that has been overpainted to blend in. Hard to notice. A firing flaw in form of a white stripe can be seen on the close-up picture of the interior. Enameled Vases-Israel You are viewing two brass enameled vases. They both feature an etched scene of a palace with a boat in the water. The scene is done in colors of burgundy and white with hints of lighter blue shades. These vases have dangling brass handles with a unique design. You can see in the pics if looking closely. That there is some wear/scratches from where the handles have rubbed/hit against the vase. There is more wear on one vase than the other which appears to only have 2 marks. They are footed like a tripod leg with a unique design also. In the pictures I have shown spots where the enamel has worn from age. There are some surface scratches on these vases from natural use. This great lot consists of a pair of trench art vases made fr om artillery shells and decorated with a great. Sinuous Art Nouveau design of stems, leaves and flowers. They also feature cartouches engraved'Montauban' and'Combles' Two locations of heavy fighting during the First World War. They measure 9 1/4" in height. 3 1/2" across the base and are stamped on the base with 1915 and 1917. As can be seen, they are in fan tastic condition. Lovely and shiny. Free from splits and damage, and ready to put on display straightaway. I'm no expert on items like this but, from some brief research, it seems as though vases like this decorated with the names of locations are fairly rare. A fine pair of Chinese carved vases each vase measuring 6 1/4 inches in height and approx 4 1/2 inches wide from handle to handle. The vases are relief moulded to both sides with handles which are possibly elephants heads with moveable rings. Each vase weighs 630g unpacked. Tota weight 1.26kg. I am not an expert on Chinese items and I do not know exactly what material these are made from. Overall condition is very good. There are no cracks.
