Vintage antique Wm Rogers Silver Tea Set with serving tray
Up for auction is an antique 5 piece silver plated coffee and tea service set in good condition. From what I can tell. T his set is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It consists of tea/coffee pot. Sugar pot with lid, creamer, and serving tray. The coffee pot is stamped Wm Rogers with eagle and star on either side. The pot is further stamped"800" under the makers mark. The only piece carrying a stamp is the coffee pot. It measures about 9" tall and is about 9" wide from end of handle to end of spout. The creamer measures about 5 1/2" X 3" The suger pot measures about 6" X 4 1/2" The tray is large measuring about 24" X 15 1/2" This is a heavy set with about a 7.5 pound shipping weight. I attended an estate auction this past weekend that included the contents of a lady's house in central Iowa. The items auctioned were from three generations. I have no idea how she fit everything in her house. But it filled a Community Building, front to back, with approximately 1/3 of the building used for seating. I think she was the equivalent of a modern day hoarder as it appeared that she didn't throw much away, including original boxes. Japanese Satsuma COMPLETE Tea/Luncheon set. c. early 1900. Excellent! 24pcs!
Up for auction is a beautiful satsuma tea/luncheon set c early 1900's. The gold is in phenomenal condition as shown in the photos; the handles have almost zero wear. This was an old attic find and was sitting up there for years in storage. Away from sunlight and dirt which tends to oxidize the gold; as does constantly touching it. I think it's the acid in peoples'sweat that affects the gold. In any event, this set has rarely, if ever, been used. Now for the flaws, the sugar bowl has a faint stress fracture that does NOT go all the way through. One luncheon plate and one saucer have mild staining. The box I got them in had sustained water damage on the bottom so I think these 2 pieces were stained as a result. It IS however; a beautiful set featuring bamboo and a Chidori, which is a Japanese sparrow or more closely a plover. SUPER ... morenice set which includes 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 luncheon/dessert plates, creamer, sugar and tea pot. All the lids are accounted for as well. Feel free to make an offer but please understand, offering less than 1/2 of my asking price rarely will make me leap to accept the offer. This is a truly nice set and in excellent condition. Thanks! Creamer, sugar bowl with lid, spoon, large serving plate and smaller plate. This set has been sitting in a cabinet ever since it was purchased in 1980. It has never been used. It is in extremely good condition. I can only find one flaw which is three or four tiny flea bites in the inside bottom of the sugar bowl. It must have been that way when purchased because this set has never ever been used at all. There are no scratches, discolorations, or any other flaws that I can see. This is a fairly plain and unassuming set with the only decoration being two engraved lines around the top of each item. Black bakelite handle on teapot. Unusual strainer. Three narrow vertical openings, on interior of teapot at base of spout. Hinged lid of teapot sits squarely. Condition: very good; normal signs of use but no wear to the silverplate. Up for auction is a 1924 Gorham Plymouth Sterling Tea Set. The set is Monogrammed For a 50 Year Anniversary/Birthday/Retirement 1899 G 1924.The monogram is on one side of the teapot. Creamer and sugar. The set consists of a Tea Pot that stands 11 1/4" tall and 8" wide. It is in good condition with the exception of the handle. Its is loose and needs to be tightened. The base on the tea pot is not level. There are no dents on the bottom. The teapot is marked 2311 1 1/4 PINT. I'm sure a silversmith can repair this fairly easy. This is indeed a lovely matching Victorian Batchelor Tea Set. With all three pieces bearing the same maker's mark, same date letter, and same assay mark- making it very collectable since it is becoming increasingly hard to find such sets these days. Batchelor" Teapots are a little smaller than a usual Teapot. The meaning being self-explanatory! This set is of a half-lobed design. Which was very popular at the time, and comprises of a Batchelor Teapot, with an ebony handle and finial, a Sugar Bowl with twin handles, and a Milk or Cream Jug with a wide spout. Each piece bears the maker's mark of William Thorneywork. And all are hallmarked for Birmingham 1898, which means that this set is now some 115 years old! Condition: The Sugar Bowl and Milk/Cream Jug are in very good condition for the age. With no serious knocks, or dints, and no repairs. ENGLISH SILVER TEA SET REGENCY STYLE 1890's?
I've had this set for years and really know little about it. From what I can tell. It must be silver plate, but I don't know English Hallmarks to know if the one shown indicates the stamp of a silvermaker or not. Each piece has a lion stamped onto the side as shown in the third picture, but again I don't know if that is good or bad. It appears to be quality craftsmanship and does not appear to be new- I am guessing turn of the century perhaps? My thought is that this is a high quality version of very expensive sterling silver sets. It displays beautifully! I would appreciate any feedback you might have that might give insight into what I have here.

For sale is an antique 22 Karat Goldauflage tea set. Under each saucer plate is a photo of a crown with the words Bareuther Waldsassen Bavaria Germany and the#212. Under each tea cup are the words Kunst-Palette Regnitzlosau K&T Bavaria Made in Germany. Under the sugar bowl are the words 22 KARAT Goldauflage and Kunst-Palette Regnitzlosau K&T Bavaria Made in Germany. On each side of the cup dipicts a couple in Colonial time. As you can see from all the photos there is Gold on the cup trim and plate trims. All the handels, inside the cups, and the bottom of the cups, suguer bowl, and pitcher. Antique Handpainted Porcelain Tea Set, Tray, Figural Handles,
We are pleased to present for your consideration this antique porcelain handpainted Tea Set with figural handles. Absolutely fabulous. I believe these are pierrets, pierrettes, maybe jesters. In very good condition, no chips or cracks, the sugar bowl does have discoloration inside and the two cups have slight discoloration. Marked as shown in photo. Impressed No. and red script mark. Tray measures 16 x 11 1/2" teapot measures 6 x 5 3/4" and saucer measures 4 3/4" to give you some idea of size. Sorry, I do not know who made this tea set, has what I call a Royal Worcester finish. The Pot and Saucers are labeled'JAPAN' Which seems to be hand-painted& from my little research all of the items are partially hand-painted/transferware.
