2011 Titus X Lightrail Seat Stay for 26" frames - Titus Racer X - FTM
Long story short. This is a carbon LightRail seat stay that my 2011 Titus X alloy came with from the factory. After a short time I noticed small hairline cracks near the aluminum dropout to carbon bond line. I called Titus and they said to send it back for inspection. Not wanting to be without my bike I ordered a backup from them for $225. Turns out that the small hairline cracks are normal. The clear coat paint cracks at the bond line from flex between the aluminum and carbon and is not structural. Only cosmetic. They all do it, even my current stay. Wish they could have told me that over the phone before I bought another stay. So if your looking for this part, save $100 plus shipping and buy this one. It has about 250 easy miles of xc use and near new, the only blemishes are some chain slap marks on the underside. Antique ORNATE Oak SEWING MACHINE DRAWERS with Frames
This is a 3 day auction. Antique sewing machine drawers from a Singer treadle sewing machine. I think these have an oak veneer. But I am not positive. The drawers show wear with scuffs and scratches. The interiors of 3 of the drawers have some ink like stains and 3 are in better condition. And one piece of molding is missing from the bottom side of one of the frames. You can see all of these points if you look at the picture where the shade is held up in my hand. Shade(there is only one for the pair) has a chip on the outside at about top dead center- There are fleabites on either side where the shade is held in the sconce. While these are visible. You have to look rather hard for them. There is a fleabite/chip also on the lower right hand corner of the shade. There is a flaw on top of the glass on the right-upper side that looks like a small teardrop. It is essentially a small imperfection on top of the glass but it is the glass itself and was coated with the shade originally. ... moreThis is a VERY difficult shade to find so if you need the shade. Get it now! The frames look to be in very good condition although they could still use a little clean up. The back side says Mech $ Design PATS PENDING REG CAN. 1932. There is also a number B119 which might be a casting number or model number. The light sockets are not corroded and should only need to be rewired(if you can do this yourself like me this is not a big task) You could also replace the sockets for minimal cost. The switches click like they work but since I cannot test them I cannot guarantee they work. The frame on the right hand side of the picture has a small casting imperfection on the second of the four things that come up from the middle on the left hand side. It looks like a small crack but it is just missing material from the original casting. Looking at the back(the one on the right) You can see the spot as a little triangle that appears– the other frame doesn’t have the little triangle. The tent has a very small hole as seen in the picture. The backpack is great also but has a little wear on the back bottom as seen in the picture. Both damages are easily repairable. Two Victorian Floral Paintings with Original Gold Frames Gesso
Two beautiful Victorian paintings of flowers and a beautiful woman. They paintings are watersolor and ink and appear as if they could be the same artist but they are not. They are both signed with the larger painting dated"08" The flowers are pink peach roses with grean leaves. The larger picture is of a woman in a fancy hat or bonnet with roses and green ribbon. Her face is beautiful and well done. The smaller one is of a similar looking woman with a bouquet of shabby chic roses in her arms with lush leaves and greenery. Both are framed in their original gold frames. The larger painting frame is very detailed and made of gesso with gesso flowers. One small part of the gesso is missing on the lower right side. The back has it's original carboard backing with a wire hanger. The smaller picture has a smooth gold wood oval frame ... morewith a paper back that has some tearing. That does not impact the backing function. It too has a hire hanger. These two paintings look beautiful together and would be beautiful in a vintage cottage or victorian style interior. The larger painting measures 13.5 inches tall by about 10 1/4 inches wide. The smaller painting measures just under 4/12 inches wide by slightly over 8 inches long. SOLD AS IS! This bicycle was hand built in Carbondale IL. USA sometime around 1973(parts date to 1973) Bartlett was a custom bicycle line built by Dan Bartlett out of his bike shop in Carbondale Il back in the 1970's. This particular bicycle was most likely made in 1973 or 1974 as the Campagnolo components date to 1973. The frame features high-quality lugged steel construction, unfortunately there are both Columbus and Reynolds stickers on the bike, the Columbus sticker is in the"proper" location ... moreand we imagine these were the tubes actually used in constructing this model. This bicycle has been well maintained and there are minimal scratches to the paint, almost all of which have been touched up. The frame sports classic Italian style lug work as well as a fastback seat stay cluster. The frame is almost completely rust free minus some minor under the paint surface corrosion along the cable routing of the top tube. This bicycle has not been tuned by one of our shops mechanics however a quick test ride show's nothing that need immediate adjustment or replacement. Please see photographs for details. The frames are unusual as the tops are turned up. The larger one does have a small pale line in the fabric. These are know as trial frames manufactured by the American Optical Co. They were used for fitting the various lenses used in a pair of eyeglasses. This particular example dates from between 1898 and 1905. They are in excellent condition with no damage or rust and all mechanical parts work fine. The engraved ivory scales are in exceptional condition with no cracks chips or yellowing and all of the lettering and numbering are clear with no fading which is amazing for being over 100 years old! The frames are sturdy, strong and in good condition for the age, the paint or stain looks decades old and the frames need minor cosmetic care( cleaned or refurbished. Mr & Mrs Frech Photos Set of Antique Oval Gilt Gesso Wood Frames Ornate Fruit
These 2 frames with photos came from an auction in Vermont. I believe the photos are of a husband and his wife. The back of the man's photo reads G.J. Frech German Antiques parents of Frederic C. Charles) Frech. The back of the woman's photo reads Augusta Frech from Germany German Antiques. There is some soiling on the borders around the photos. The frames measure 22 1/2" tall to the top of the gesso fruit design. And 17 1/4" wide. The insert from the front measures 14 1/2 by 12 inches. One of the hanging hooks is missing a nail. There are some cracks in the gesso, see the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 9th pictures. The most damage in the gesso is on the top of the frame with the man's photo, see the 10th picture. It's so nice that we know who they are.
