And they need to be polished. No damage or repairs. The piece that hangs on the wall measures 10 3/4 inches top to bottom. Beautiful Pair of Colonial Williamsburg Solid Brass Sconces. Like those in the Governor's Palace Crafted by Baldwin Brass in Reading. Pennsylvania, marked EB These sconces were made with electric wiring. Duplicating the method used when electric was new! Back plates make installation simple. No messy. Dangerous candles! Excellent overall. Working condition but there are a few extremely small dings on the rim of one wax collecting plate and one ding on the back edge of the other wall mount plate. LOT Antique Framed Prints Colonial Traditional Country English Williamsburg
I purchased these charming(4) wood framed prints at an antique store in Denver. The original 1 1/4" wide wood frame looks like it is made from a soft wood such as pine and is finished in scarlet red paint with a faint sepia brown glazing. The glass is free of cracks and chips. The overall frame size of each print measures 6 7/8" wide x 8 7/8" tall. These are German peasant themed prints on an ivory background of hardpressed paper board. Other than that. I don't know anything more about them.

This eight-sided 18th Century tea box is called the Williamsburg Octagonal Tea Caddy as produced by the Kittinger Co. in the 1950s or early 1960s. The old Kittenger Colonial Williamsburg catalog number is AP 101. The Williamsburg Tea Caddy is a copy of an English Chippendale portable tea chest of 1760.It has 25 separate hand-assembled mahogany wood sections. The hinge& handle are brass. The interior is foil lined and the brass key and lock still are in working order. All original components still intact including handle, hinge, escutcheon, key and lock. These boxes were designed to hold tea but can be used for tobacco or jewelry. Size is 5 1/2 inches high(to brass handle) and 6 ¼ inches diameter. The box is in fine condition for its vintage age with no cracks or major nicks or dings and just the usual shelf and handling wear.Could ... moreuse a good waxing. The finish on the bottom is scraped& worn from shelf sliding. This is a Colonial Williamsburg. Hand made, Leather, Jack" Pitcher in very good, lightly used condition. It is marked on the bottom, The Sign of the Boot, Colonial Williamsburg, and was made in the boot makers shop. The pitcher is 12" x 6 1/2" without counting the shaped, 7" x 3" handle. It was custom made for the original owner and has a hand tooled initial(F) done in a lighter brown color. There is a paper that comes with it that fully explains the history of the leather, Jack" or, Blackjack" mugs and the same information applies to this pitcher. It is signed by Arthur C. Devletian, Master Leatherworker, at the time. Briefly: jacks" were common in all English colonies by the 18th century, both in homes and taverns. They are enjoying a new popularity which is why they make them. They are made from ... more6 pieces of leather, hand stitched with linen thread and do have a sealing lining that protects the inside leather from the contents and keeps it from leaking. Pitch was used for this in the early days. Liquids no stronger than beer in alcohol content can be used safely. I filled the pitcher with water and I did not see any leaks. I did notice a small patch just below the spout inside and a small section on the left edge of the spout that is not completely covered with the sealing lining. It can be easily fixed, if necessary, with some paraffin wax. This would certainly be a fine, period proper, addition to a Colonial or Revolutionary War Reenactor's table. In vintage condition the brass is polished with wear which includes some remaining lacquer. Light pitting, patina and the black painted areas show slight loss to the finish as seen in photos. The wheels could be unscrewed and the base buffed to remove the lacquer, fairly superficial pitting and patina. Each bookend measures approximately 5" tall x 6 1/2" wide x 2" deep" base and weigh 1 lb. 14 oz. a piece. c.1600's bronze buckles This group lot of bronze buckles date c.1485-1650 and are similar to types that have been found at Colonial American English settlements in Jamestown& Williamsburg. Virginia. Virginia Metalcrafters Colonial Williamsburg Governor’s Palace Candelabra CW 16-63(22263) Up for auction is a rare and beautiful brass candelabra made by Virginia Metalcrafters for the Colonial Williamsburg Collection. It is called the Governor’s Palace Candelabra. The model number is CW 16-63(also listed as#22263 in an old Williamsburg catalog) This elegant reproduction is an exact copy of an 18th Century candelabra from the Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg. Virginia. A serpent's head decorates each of the adjustable arms that swivel to give an entwined effect. The candle height can be adjusted up and down and each arm can be independently swiveled. The bottom of the base is marked with the Virginia Metalcrafters and Colonial Williamsburg maker’s marks. And is stamped Williamsburg and CW 16-63. The candelabra is constructed ... moreof solid cast brass with a clear lacquered finish. I don’t know what type of metal was used for the square rod. But it is not magnetic and there are no signs of any oxidation. The candelabra measures 16 inches tall by 18 inches wide with both arms fully extended. The weight of the candelabra is 4 pounds 9.8 ounces. I would rate the overall condition somewhere between Very Good to Excellent. There is very little tarnish and only a couple of very light surface scratches. The candelabra is fully functional with no damage or repairs and has a beautiful finish. A Little History: Virginia Metalcrafters signed a license with Colonial Williamsburg in 1951 to produce brass and iron reproductions. The company’s hand casting and finishing methods were the same as those used to form the original antiques. Virginia Metalcrafters is no longer in business and their pieces are become harder and harder to find. And more expensive when you do find them.
