Two Vintage Antique York Pottery England Arts & Crafts Vases PAIR Ranleigh
Marked"YORK" 6" and"Made in England" I believe these were made by the Ranleigh Pottery during the 1920's. Measuring 6.5" tall and 4.75" wide, they feature cold painted fruit decoration on both sides. I think this type of pottery was called"chalkware" and this"chalkiness" can be seen on these vases. The cold paint remains mostly intact but any little nick, scratch or rub produces the chalk. I did little more than dust this pair. There are no chips or cracks and they are good English Arts and Crafts Era pieces. International bidders are welcome with the understanding that these will likely have to fly via Priority Mail at a cost of nearly $50.

PAIR of FINE ANTIQUE BRONZE ORIENTAL VASES or URNS RAISED BIRD FLORA & FAUNA
Here is a pair of fine antique Asian bronze vases or urns. Most likely Japanese or Chinese. Each features a motif of raised birds, tree limbs, flowers and leaves with clouds above the scene. Top neck features a raised design with a diamond patterned rim edge. The color is a deep and dark brown with scattered green patination to a dark chocolate brown near bases and top rim. There is a very minor impact mark to the flared area near bases(unnoticable without very close inspection) with minor impacts at the base rim, otherwise both are in VERY FINE +++ condition and much nicer than pictured. The detailing is fantastic with a great nature subject matter. Each measures just over 10" high with 6 3/4" wide top openings. I believe these date pre 1900 and are both unmarked. Pair (2) Antique Late 19thC Bohemian Enamel & Gilt Cut Glass Lustre Vases
Being offered for your consideration is a pair of antique late 19th century. Bohemian enameled& gilt cut glass lustre vases with long hanging clear crystal prisms. Each vase stands 10" high, base diameter is 4" top diameter is 4 1/4" with the six crystal prisms around. The stems of the vases are opaque with an enamel leaf design. The base and the top of each has a white and peach enameled flower and leaf design with the stems of the plant gold gilded. All the prisms are present and with the exception of one that was glued at the neck, are exceptional. The hand cutting on these is remarkable. There are a few tiny flea bites to a few of the prisms that do not detract from this magnificent and elegant pair. These are quite impressive pieces. The color of each vase resonates with a pink hue. Fascinating to look down on these ... moreto see the different thicknesses of the rim.almost as if being there when made! One of the vases has a very minor chip that is on the surface of the top of the rim only and you can't tell from the side view. Otherwise, all wear is normal for the period they came from. The urns have a rare blood red glaze on white porcelain. Each urn has a panel with musical instruments& sheet music, to the reverse is a similar panel with a floral design, each urn is decorated with extravagant gilding. The urns are twin handled and the ormolu is finely engraved, the urns stand on ormolu bases with bracket feet. antique Czechoslavakian numbered miniature urns/vases
This pair of miniature urns/vases are very elegant. Stamped on bottom of each in blue; made in Czechoslavakia and each is inscribed with a number: 4087; the one urn's number looks like 1087 but I think the 1 was supposed to be a 4 like the other urn and it just didn't come out fully. On the inside of the base under glaze in blue is a 2 and on the other a 3, also one has what resembles a W in black, this is on the bottom near one corner. As seen in a photo one scene on one urn has a small enamel chip and a hair line crack. There are several paint misses near there on a brown line that I think is a crinkle in the transfer when applied before fireing. That same urn has a chip with paint repair on lip(see photo) The other urn has a chip, paint repair on one corner of one handle and a small chip on a corner of the base. Pair of antique high glaze majolica vases formed as bulbous plants. Naturalisticly moulded but the species is unknown to me. Maybe they are just an artistic creation. No makers mark but probably of German origin, dating from the late 19th century. Marked"1872" on the bottom. Vivid colours with turquoise interior and a lovely glossy finish. Small chip on the bottom edge that has been overpainted to blend in. Hard to notice. A firing flaw in form of a white stripe can be seen on the close-up picture of the interior. Cinnabar is the popular name used to describe Chinese lacquerware of a striking red color known for many centuries. When first produced. There is VERY SLIGHT PAINT LOSS ON GOLD TRIM LINES, but the paint on the flowers is excellent. There is a paint streak on the ruffle of one of the vases as seen in the photos but it is not a crack. Antique CHINESE HAND CARVED SOAPSTONE, DOUBLE/TRIPLE VASES, varied colors
This sale offers you a unique opportunity to own three special pieces of antique carved soapstone. All three of these came from the same Kentucky estate auction and each is varied in color and design. The small coral colored piece has a small brush pot and a vase connected by a branch with leaves. It is 4 1/2" in length and 3" tall. I could not find any damage on it and the colors are beautiful. The next piece pictured is a collection of three brush pots or vases connected with some type of fruit branch. It is a greenish yellow color and has some damage. There is one chip on the left front base that is pictured. It also appears to have two areas where small pieces have broken off but these look like they happened long ago and are smooth. This three vase piece is 6" in length and 4" tall. The largest of the three pieces ... moreis also the most ornately carved. This soapstone has a pinkish cast to it and has two tall vases surrounded by two different type of flowers and with a bird on the right hand side. A few areas feel somewhat rough. This pinkish cast piece is 6" in length and 5" tall. The three pieces together weigh almost three pounds. These appear to be very old pieces and each is beautiful.
