The chair number is 10-6040(hard to read in the photos) manufactured ... morein plant#14 in the popular nutmeg color. This is a mates chair and although it have those little stubby"arms" it is not to be confused with the actual captain's chair of this style that has much longer arms. These were produced for a number of years by Ethan Allen for a few of their lines including Traditional and Early American. There is no damage to the chair and only a few tiny dings or scratches from normal use. There is very light wear to the very tip of the top rail and tip of the"arms" All the joints are nice and tight. It is in the popular nutmeg color and the finish is very good. It has been thoroughly cleaned and polished with butchers wax. It is 29 1/2" tall with a 17" seat height. The height of those stubby"arms" is only 25 1/4" so these chairs can be tucked tightly under the apron of most tables. Leaving more floor space in a smaller dining area. As for the chair it is very comfortable due to the great formed seat work that Ethan Allen was noted for in all of their lines from this period. It is constructed of maple and built to last for generations. As always, feel free to ask any questions and I'll get right back to you. Seattle-area Vintage Authentic 'Ethan Allen' Dresser Solid Wood Maple/Birch
Great price for this solid maple/birch vintage 1970's Ethan Allen large dresser! We just inherited it from family. It has always been well taken care of. And we're selling it simply because it's too large for our small house. There are some scuff marks on the bottom trim piece near the floor. But the top of it still has a wonderful scratch-free clear coating on top. The front faces of the drawers have some scuffs. As you can see in the photos, the stain is faded in some parts, but the scuff marks don't seem deep. A light sanding and re-finishing is all this vintage beauty needs to shine once again!
