Base reads: AB8 Handle reads: NE-28 Purchased from an older couple in southern iowa. This pump is very old and authentic. Check out the beautiful copper mid section. Up for auction is this never used pump designed to pump fresh water even up hill and can pressure water through a garden hose sprayer for fire and other uses. It was bought from the Cumberland General Store. Crossville, Tennessee approximately 35 years ago, but was never installed or used. It has signs of age, but not of use. These still sell new from Cumberland for $322.95 plus shipping. This is a heavy pump weighing approximately 22 pounds before packing. Comes complete with the original instruction slip. This auction is for a vintage water pump– the kind my grandma had at her sink in her kitchen. I believe the water came from the cistern. She also had a bigger pump outside from the well. It says Columbiana Pump Co. 2083. Columbiana Ohio USA on the top. On the base it says, Columbiana Pump Co. Columbiana Ohio 2085. The handle is 12” long to where it curves down. The height is 22” The base has a flat side on the same side where the water comes out and then 3 places to screw it down. The underneath has a pipe with threads to attach it. The center section looks like brass. The iron parts are red. But some of the paint is worn off. It is heavy and will be reflected in the shipping cost. I am near Buffalo. It could be picked up. Offered is a nice restored wall mount hand pump. It is signed on the handle- C J Hartley Co. Decatur ILL- Patd Nov 3 1908 450” There are several numbers on various parts of the pump: 450, 451, 452, 453, 455, 456, and 457. The pump is in excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips. The cylinder, the lift rod, and all of the fittings connected to the cylinder are brass- the rest appear to be cast iron. The pump was sandblasted, had primer applied, painted, and top coated. I feel it has a great finish. In its present condition it is a decorative piece. The seals and gaskets were deteriorated and removed. The pump measures about 16 inches tall, 15 inches wide from spout to handle when the handle is down and 24 inches with the handle extended, and 8 inches across the wall mount side. Spout support arm for an old hand crank cistern pump. It was screwed fast to the wood frame of the pump after it was slid over the spout. The hole for the spout is 2 1/4" and when screwed fast there is 5" from the wood pump to the iron ring. Any questions just ask.

RARE Antique 1904 RED JACKET Water Turret Tank Force Pump Cistern Wood Cast Iron
14 years ago. My mother-in-law came to live with us. Recently widowed, she left her house as it was, came to Oregon and said she was never going back home. We told her we would pack her house up, pack EVERYTHING, and bring here for her to sort through at her pleasure. Her house was much like a museum. She was an avid and well known antique dealer and collector in Los Angeles in the mid to later 1900's. We moved over 700 boxes of items from her house. Along with many pieces of furniture. 1 of her pieces has been on the Antique Road Show. I built a 7000 sq. foot building to accommodate all her collections. She never opened a box. She died about 7 years ago. And we have just begun the process of going through the boxes ourselves. It is an arduous process. Some items will go to concession dealers. Some are given away, some things donated, ... moresome are kept and some things are offered here. I used to write a bit of the history at the beginning of each ad. I have decided to write this, and when a bit of provenance fits, I will include this introduction. These items were collected many years ago by a very sweet and knowledgeable lady. Wish she was here to tell me about each item we offer, but, I am on my own, and will do my best to describe. This is an old Red Jacket force pump. It was made about around 1904. So a true antique. I have an old ad showing this exact pump, it is a Red Jacket Turret Tank Force Pump. I acquired it a year or so ago from the Pudding River Ranch in Hubbard Oregon. This ranch was started as a homestead in the Oregon Willamette Valley sometime during the 1800's. You may ask just what a"force pump" is. I asked it. And I have one.
