The pitcher and bowl are in very good condition. There are just a couple tiny flea bites on the edges. The two small vases have chips at the base, but the other sides display very well. This set is made of semi-porcelain. It is large and very sturdy. The bowl measures almost 16 inches in diameter with a height of 5 inches. The pitcher has a height of 11 inches and is 11 inches from handle to spout. The small bowl measures 5.25 inches in diameter by 2.25 inches in height. Lovely antique white ironstone pitcher and bowl. Mark on the bottom identifies it as by Edwin Bennett Pottery Co. of Baltimore MD. Both pieces are marked. Although the mark on the pitcher is very light at this point in time. Both bowl and pitcher have staining and mild crazing(please see photos) There is a hairline crack near the top of the bowl(I have provided two views of the crack- one from the interior of the bowl and one from the exterior) There are also three small marks/ dots on the interior of the bowl. I believe that these are from the way in which the bowl was set to dry following the glazing process. There are also a few scratches in the bottom of the bowl simply from use. Vtg 1840's antique bas relief pitcher.Blue & white stone ware pottery
It is 7 1/4"H. There are 2 chips. One shallow chip on the outer top edge of the pitcher and one small glaze chip on the handle. There are no makers marks. The tag you see in the pic is from the antique store that this came from. I recently purchased some pieces from the estate of a man who owned an antique store I left the tags on to help with identification. RED CLIFF AMERICAN IRONSTONE ART POTTERY WHITE 7.25" TALL OCTAGON PITCHER MINTY
Up for auction is a Marked. Red-Cliff Company of Chicago, Illinois(Ironstone Distributors and Decorators, 1950 to 1980) Exact Specification, Antique American or British Ironstone Reproduction, Octagon(8 Sided) Table Pitcher in"Near-Mint" Sparingly Used Condition which was Manufactured by the Hall China Company of East Liverpool, Ohio, U.S.A. 1901 to Present) sometime between 1950 and 1980. This superb replica/ reproduction ironstone pitcher has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs, major stains or repairs of any kind. I'm stating"Near-Mint" condition for one small post factory issue that's only on the bottom of this piece. There are three methods a pottery can choose for kiln firing the glaze and Red Cliff Pottery used an unglazed base ring as their method and you can see in picture 10 that the dry ... morering absorbed some dust or dirt and it discolored the ring a little bit. There is also a factory flaw with this piece and picture 12 is a close up view of the flaw. You can see that there's an in-mold band around the pitcher just a few inches below the top opening. The band creates two creases on either side of it and within the upper crease you can see a black dot. This tiny dot got into the white glaze some how and it's there to stay. Please keep in mind that the flaw has been their since the pitcher was removed from the Hall China Company's kiln. With the discoloring of the base ring being on the bottom and the black dot being so tiny there really isn't any compromising of this pitcher's aesthetic value. Without a doubt is displays nicely and if so desired it's a fully functional piece as well. The tallest point for this pitcher is the handle where it makes close to a 90 degree turn and as already stated it's about 7 1/4 inches tall. The top opening is somewhat rounded even though it becomes a hexagonal piece most of the way toward the bottom. Red Wing Northstar Pottery ceramic pitcher grapes weave brown out white interior
Classic. Antique salt glaze pitcher with handle has a white interior and a brown exterior with grape clusters on a basket weave. This piece stands about 9 1/4 inches tall on a base that's 5 1/4 inches across. It measures 5 3/4 inches from the spout to the back of the rim. There is a star maker mark on the bottom. Old pitcher has bubbles and defects in the glaze. Crazing, what appears to be a jagged crease under the interior glaze behind the handle, wear to the footing, some holes in the glaze, and general wear,surface scratches and signs of age, as you'd expect. Purchased at an old Hunterdon County estate. It is not marked and I do not know its history. But it is a lovely piece. Based on other's I have seen, I believe this pitcher is from the mid 1800s. NO cracks or chips. There is a ding near the bottom that is under the glaze. So it was done during the making and should not be considered a flaw, but I like to mention everything. Antique 1896 VODREY POTTERY Lg Water Pitcher & Wash Bowl Basin Bonita blue white
I have looked up the marks on these pieces of Vodrey and the marks date c1896(Kovels) Bonita is the name the pottery gave it or was the pottery herself. Not sure. The pitcher in the bowl is approx. 13” tall, bowl is 5” tall and the width of the bowl is approx. 16 ½” across. The weight on both bowl and pitcher is 12# reason for the shipping cost. The blue is very nice color and the bowl also has a doe color washed around the edge inside and out. I thought this was stain but nothing would remove the color, must be in the making of the set. Too, the pitcher has two runs that is in the making, as shown in the pictures. There are stress cracks but not broken through. Up for auction or"Buy It Now" is a Marked and Signed"Roy" Weissman Company, Incorporated of East Palestine, Ohio and New York City, New York(Circa 1941 to Closed in 1957) Weisley China(WC) Brand, American Art Pottery, Hand Painted-Handcrafted, American Painted Porcelain" Small Porcelain Artware Ewer Pitcher which can best be Attributed as Being Manufactured and Decorated by the Dwight Morris China Company also of East Palestine, Ohio(1939 to 1982) in"Excellent Plus" Used Condition and Made Between Circa 1941 to 1957. This little ewer has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs or repairs of any kind. It's only post factory issue is that some gold trim has worn away and picture 12 is a close up of the most worn area. This isn't uncommon to see when gold trim is applied either. It can be ... morefired on or underglaze and it ususally is when it's part of the main pattern, but many times it's a final production step and it's applied cold. It has real gold in it and ceramic decorators use 22, 23 or 24 karat gold. It's always been an acceptable practice of cold painting the gold trim as a last step so it shouldn't be considered poor quality work by potteries and decorating firms. Immersed washing and dusting with a heavy hand are two main ways wear happens and most consumers aren't aware that the gold trim areas need some special care. This piece is about 6 1/4 inches tall and about 3 1/8 inches at the most bulbous point near the bottom. The next biggest measurement is the from the outward pour lip across to the handle at about 2 3/4 inches and the top opening is an oval of about 5/8 inches by 3/4 inches across. Being true porcelain means this piece will be strong. But light weighing about 5 ounces. There's a beautiful hand painted floral pattern which I'm fairly sure is representative of the pansy flower. Recent estate find. Vintage antique Ironstone Art Pottery milk pitcher. White with cobalt blue, little Dutch girl in clogs carrying flowers and running from a goose. You can see windmill in the background. Pitcher measures 7" tall. It is in very nice shape, clean for its age. It has crazing, some wear. It has a thin hairline which can be seen in my photo but pitcher is very sturdy. Some tiny flea bite chips. Handle good and sturdy.

The white background has a pale minty-green body and gold accents near the top. Size: 5"d X 7 1/2"h(approx. Quantity: 1- Pitcher Condition/ Issues: GOOD vintage condition- no chips or cracks. There is some crazing on the top 1/3 of the pitcher. There are also marks that look like utensil marks on china and are possibly removable. In a few photos are some pink and blue dots- they are paint splatters that I didn't see while doing photos. It's a great antique pitcher that is perfect for display and use. Vintage White's Pottery Utica Set (3) Graduated Stoneware Pitchers ND2659-61
Set of three graduated stoneware pitchers by White's of Utica. New York. Each pitcher is decorated with flower motifs. The motif shown in the second photo is found on one side of each pitcher. It depicts a sunflower stem with two blossoms. The opposite side of each pitcher bears a different motif and they are shown in the next three photos. The 9" pitcher has another floral design shown in photo 3, the 8" pitcher has a pineapple and fruit design shown in photo 4, and the 6 3/4" pitcher has a floral motif shown in photo 5. All pitchers are in very good condition. The 8" pitcher has a fleabite on the rim. There are no other chips or cracks on any of the pitchers. Each has an impressed number on the base. Antique English Pottery White Pitcher with Hinged Pewter Lid - Gold Bands Trim
This antique pitcher is in very nice condition with no chips. Cracks, hairlines or staining. Made by EDGE. MALKIN& CO. of Burslem England in the late 1800's. The hinged pewter lid is also in good condition. The pitcher measures 7 1/4" and is almost 8" at the highest point on the lid. there are three gold bands in the middle of the body of the pitcher and one at the base. The handle still has the gold decoration on it also. Please review photos carefully. And feel free to ask any questions you may have. I charge only actual postage and insurance.
