Doulton Lambeth Rare Dog Handle Hunting Pitcher Antique English 6 3/4" tall
This is a lovely fine English pitcher. From the 1800's with applied figures. Around the plumpest part of the belly are horses, hunting scenes and dogs. The deep red iron oxide glaze glows orangy brown on the yellow clay of the stoneware body, while it changes to a nice ochre where the dip covered the figural decoration. The rare handle is applied, and is a wonderfully formed hunting dog. Condition of this beautiful pitcher is good with one small chip on the lip. And firing lines where the spout is joined which is typical in the manufacture of these pieces. The mark is"Doulton Lambeth England" This lovely English pitcher measures about 6 3/4" tall and about 71/2" wide. I believe the portrait itself is probably a transfer and its in good old condition for being over 100 years old. Everything in the collection this came from was from the 1800's. Based on the Austria stamp on the bottom I would more closely date this to the early 1900's but pre-WWI. I can find no chips or cracks on this fine piece and wear is minimal. A very attractive copper lusterware pitcher with hand painted flowers. Please remember this is a vintage item. So it has some minor defects. There are tiny white spots inside the rim on one side, these appear to be defects in the glazing. And there are some dark spots inside the pitcher. None of these take away from the overall appearance of the pitcher. The hand painted flowers are all intact and the copper surface is highly reflective. The pitcher is 6' tall and 6 3/4" wide lip to handle.

Victorian Two-Tone Luster Large Pitcher - 6 5/8" Tall
Beautiful large and heavy lusterware footed pitcher from the Victorian era featuring a beautiful glaze of copper with an ribbons of decorative tan and pink luster highlights. The copper luster is continued halfway into the interior and then changes to cream. The pitcher is in wonderful condition except for a series of firing cracks just above the foot. As you can see in picture#5. The pitcher measures 6 5/8" tall and has a mid-diameter of approximately 5" The diameters of the foot and top are 3 1/2" and 4" Respectively. It's 7" across from outside edge of handle to tip of spout. I did my best to capture the style and quality in pictures. Charming smallish early 1900's Ironstone Antique Pitcher. Styled like the really big ones for the boudoir, but more practical for the table. This pitcher was made by The East Liverpool Potteries Company(1901-1907) of East Liverpool. Ohio. Beautiful white. Elegant, authentic period design. Ornate handle~scalloped edges. Delicate embossed fleur de lis. Ribbons, and scroll design on upper edge, middle and bottom. Measures approximately 6 1/2" to the top of the handle and the circumference around the widest point is about 18" Holds over 4 cups liquid. Condition: very good considering it's age. With a small chip close to the tip of the spout. Black mark or hairline crack along neck. I do not see any crazing. Inside also very white-no staining. Please see photos. All in all.
