Early European Ornate Pink Pitcher with Magnolias. Gold Trim, Gold Enamel Paint This is one of two pieces we have listed in this stunningly beautiful pattern. This auction is for a pitcher. It is 7 1/2" high. It is decorated with large flowers that we believe to be magnolias. There is gold trim around the edges. There is also gold enamel paint on the outline of the pattern. It can be felt with one's finger. Also. There is a"ruffled" or"gathered" effect at the bottom of the outside of the bowl, right above the base. This can be seen in the fourth photo. This is very unusual and something we have not seen before. It adds to the beauty of the bowl. There are no marks on the piece. We believe it to be European. Possibly English and dates to the middle to late 1800's. We are basing this on our combined knowledge ... moreof pottery and porcelain but we are not absolutely positive. We posted this on Ebay's Pottery, Glass and Porcelain Board and they were unable to help. This is unusual for these experts! The condition is quite good. There is one area near the spout that appears to have a flake but it is glazed over so it is considered a factory flaw. It is hard to see. However. There are no chips or cracks. Some of the gold trim is missing but nothing major. Be sure to click on the photos to see more clearly. The bottom is unmarked. The second piece we have is a matching bowl. The last picture shows the two together. They are NOT a wash set. The proportions are all wrong. However. They do look nice together. If the purchaser of this item lives in the midwest to west coast. This may ship via fedex. All other locations may ship via Priority or Standard Post depending on cost versus Fedex. This is one of two pieces we have listed in this stunningly beautiful pattern. This auction is for a pitcher. It is 7 1/2" high. It is decorated with large flowers that we believe to be magnolias. There is gold trim around the edges. There is also gold enamel paint on the outline of the pattern. It can be felt with one's finger. Also. There is a"ruffled" or"gathered" effect at the bottom of the outside of the pitcher, right above the base. This can be seen in the fourth photo. This is very unusual and something we have not seen before. It adds to the beauty of the pitcher. There are no marks on the piece. We believe it to be European. Possibly English and dates to the middle to late 1800's. We are basing this on our combined knowledge of pottery and porcelain but we are not absolutely positive. It has two vanity pieces. Which are not in perfect condition as you can see by the pictures. This is an antique piece and does show it's age. LOVELY ANTIQUE CHAMBER PITCHER PINK AND GOLD SUPERB CONDITION
Almost certainly part of a chamber set. This charming unmarked pitcher is in superb condition. We are estimating a date of production between 1850 and 1900. The piece measures 7-1/2" tall at the lip and 4-1/2" across the mouth. The pink and white body is accented with gold around the mouth and on the molded decoration. We can find scarcely any damage at all on this pitcher- no chips, repairs. Or even fleabites- and the gold decoration appears to be completely intact with no wear to speak of. There is light glaze crackling here and there, and one very light hairline in the upper part of the body, almost unnoticeable(we thought it was a glaze crackle until we looked closely) There is very light wear on the base underside. Gorgeous example of Lamberton Porcelain. Made by Maddocks. A very early piece, this was made in the USA. It features a spray of pink roses with light green/yellow foliage and yellow base. This might be an antique, but these colors are trending for 2015 and this piece is perfectly on trend for up-cycling! The pitcher. Which would have originally been used for water with a wash basin,stands about 7" tall x 8 3/4" wide from spout to handle. There is a scrolling repoussé pattern around the rim and base that mimics the scrolled applied handle. Gold highlighting on the rim and handle makes this piece really shine! A charming Victorian-era small Schmidt& Co Carlsbad pitcher. With a flattened side where the handle is applied, and covered with pink irises in an asymmetrical design. Found at an estate sale, the lovely pitcher measures about 7 inches tall x 6 inches across, and is signed on the underside. This is a very large pitcher and bowl that my late mother bought in an Antique store in Jackman. Maine close to 50 years ago in 1967. They were old when purchased. The markings on the bottom of both the pitcher and bowl show only a number 2163 on both. Since 1967 it has literally sat on a cherry washstand in a master bedroom. It has no chips. There is a slight discoloration mark under the lip of the bowl which I took a picture of. This does not show when displayed. These pieces were old when purchased but the gold banding and pink roses with blue band looks great. These pieces look great. Usual crazing due to age of pieces. Shows wonderfully. Doulton Burslem antique ceramic pitcher, blue/pink floral/gold trim, ~1890
Large antique pitcher by Doulton Burslem. Pitcher stands 8" tall and 9" diameter at the widest point. Pattern is a stunning blue and pink floral with hand-painted gold leaf accents on a cream field. The style hints at turn of the century orientalism. Neck is dark blue with very fine gold floral and leaf pattern. The style of the maker's mark dates it to between 1886-1891. Condition: the rim and spout of this pitcher are badly chipped with substantial pieces missing. For display. It looks passable from one side(handle on the left) if level to the eye. The other side is badly damaged(see photos) Use it as a vase to hold flowers and the chips will be invisible. The glaze also shows some crazing typical to this maker.
