Antique Persian Handmade Lidded Copper Sufi Bowl w/ Silver/Pewter Overlay, 8"x5"
Description: My mother bought this marvelous old piece from a dealer in Iranian Antiques at the L.A. Design Center in the 1960's. And had it on her bookshelf for 15 years. When my father passed away, she moved to a smaller home and didn't have room for the bookshelf, so this bowl has been in storage for 30 years. As you can see in the last photo, it is about 160 years old, and it has no dents, cracks or significant scratches(I hope I'm in as good shape when I get to be 160) It is intricately engraved near the top, and the lid fits tightly. I wanted to hold on to it as a place to keep my loose change; but, since I'm married, I'm not allowed to actually have any cash. A true collectible. James MacIntyre& Co. Metal Lidded Water Pitcher Jug James MacIntyre& Co. Co” was added to the name/marks from 1867. Burslem. Staffordshire 1860-1928. Impressed mark MACINTYRE. 36, a little flower? Rd No 39967 1885/86 or Rd No 89967 1887/1888. Metal lid not marked. No damage. 7” in height. Two-tone green with cream band, small, raised dots trimmed with gold trim paint. Gold trim to rim of pitcher is faded. Crazing is present& discolored interior. Pins intact on lid. I have seen this style jug decorated by Moorcroft. But it is dated before his arrival. PEWTER LIDDED TEA CADDY - Early Oriental mark .
An interesting early Pewter Lidded Pot/Tea Caddy. The base is marked with an Asian style mark. The pot stands 3' tall. And 2 1/2' across. Both lids fit well. It is in good used condition. There are many small scratches and small dents in it from years of use. I am not sure of it's age, but I believe it to be early 20th century. Excellent antique art nouveau german pewter lidded tureen, Kayserzinn #4038
Great item with excellent patina. Some age-appropriate minor surface condition issues. The bowl is 10-1/4" wide from handle to handle. 7-1/4" in diameter and 2-1/4" tall. With the lid on, the bowl is 4" in height. The bowl and lid are both heavily decorated with flowers, leaves and vines. The bottom of the bowl has four round feet. SELANGOR PEWTER FOUR SEASONS TEA CADDY LIDDED POT
A Selangor pewter tea caddy. With a double lid, and the four seasons decoration on the sides. It is 10.5 cms(4 1/4" high to the top of the lid, and 8 cms(3" across the base, stamped Selangor Pewter 97% on the base as shown. The condition is good- there is some discolouration inside(see picture) and the outside is darker than the inner lid. With a few light scratches and very minor edge knocks to the lid. There are no dents or damage to the decorated sides. I have not attempted to clean it. This was a donation to my local branch of Cancer Research UK; the auction is on their behalf. Bottom of the Stein is stamped Made In Germany with the#8 and printed on the bottom looks like a crest and the numbers 15. But I can't pick it up on camera. Up for bid is a beautiful antique lithopane beer stein with a date of 1910 on it. It was purchased at an estate auction from an owner of many collectible German items. Has a"Made in Germany" stamp on bottom. Very bottom of stein are the words"Gefreiter Hans Bartl" which means"Corporal Hans Bartl" Writing below soldiers reads"Erinnerung an m. German REGIMENTAL MILITARY Cannoneer Pewter Lidded Beer Stein
This is a vintage German Calvary regimental stein. The pewter lid is topped by a cannon. While the thumb shows a lion and is overall normally oxidized for its age. The various markings and scenes may be seen in the photographs. There are three scenes with writing. On the banners it reads"Erinnerung an Meine Dienstzeit" Memory of My Term of Service) The base is a beautiful gold and written in script is"Kanonier Stephen Vogl" There is no damage to the pewter lid and it is nice and tight. There are no chips or cracks that I can find. There is wear from use as can be seen around the base rim in a few spots and also along the top rim. However, these are not chips or cracks as when I run my finger through all the wear marks they are nice and smooth. The coloring in the scenes is quite beautiful. There is a lithophane at the ... morebottom of the stein. Which I have captured in the photographs. It dipicts a soldier and a woman who is holding a hankie to her eyes. The bottom of this stein has a very small engraving that is too small and faint to photograph. It is marked"MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY" Another ebayer who collects regimental steins informed me this is an older reproduction. But still nice. I believe the newer reproductions are marked made in West Germany and contain large colored text. The total height of the stein and lid measures 10 inches and the diameter of the base measures 4 1/2 inches. Rare Prince Albert-The Prince Consort 1861 Memoriam Parian,Pewter Lidded Jug
A rare Parian Memoriam Jug made in 1861 for the death of Prince Albert-The Prince Consort of Queen Victoria. It is in an off white colour and beautifully moulded and has the raised face of the Prince on the front(great likeness) and the coat of arms on the back. It is all sort of basket weave design within the parian and has his various insignias and medals. The handle is exceptionally decorative and surmounted by a crown. Has the birth and death dates engraved. On the front has engraved"Prince Consort" They did these jugs with and without lids but this one is rather nice and different as it has a pewter lid. Marzi Remy Pewter Lid Stein Th i s auction is for a Marzi Remy German Stein. It is the 1 li ter size and stands appro x 10 1/4" tall to the top of the lid. It weighs 2 lbs 9 oz. There are no chips. Cracks, or crazing. The pewter lid is securely attached to the hinge but the band that goes around the handle does wiggle a bit. The re is a bit of green corrosion in side the scrolls on the handle of the lid. Which I have not tried to clean. There are a couple of manufacturer's flaws. 2 of which are immediately apparent: In the picture of the pub scene there are a few white dots where the cobalt glaze did not take(see pic#2) And there is a spot of missing glaze on the top of the handle( last pic) Overall this stein is in very good co ndition and would be a nice addition to your collection. German Matthais Girmscheid#93 pierced handle pewter lidded beer stein. 3/4 liter, Hermann Warrior, woman& child, signed, c.1900- 1915. The warrior chief Hermann(AD 0- 26) was famous for defeating several Roman legions invading the German area at that time. The scene on the stein depicts Hermann going to war, with the saying"Hermann' abschied von Tusnelda. Translated: Hermann's farewell to Tusnelda. There is also a stockman and horse in the background. The stein is about 11" tall and 6.5" wide with the handle. There are no cracks, chips, etc, the pewter lid and tang work and fit well. There are no cracks in the pewter. Sgrafo Lidded Stein With Pewter Lid Embossed Pewter Pig / Boar Hunting Scene
This beautiful German stein has a pewter lid and an embossed pewter panel. It is in excellent condition. Made by Sgrafo. The scene on the cup appears to be a boar or pig hunt. The stein measures 5 1/2 inches tall by 4 inches across the opening. There is a number stamped on the bottom, 1835. In some of the photos, you can see some discoloration on the pewter panel- that is just dirt, and should wipe up easily. You get the 2002 issue of the Anheuser Busch 150th Anniversary lidded stein by Walker of Sheffield, England, 2948 of 7,000 made, this is in good condition except for a dent/ding on the bottom outside, see photo closeup, has no box. Does have certificate, next is the Anheuser Busch Eagle in A by Dura Cast, stands 5 inches tall, in good condition, last is the Michelob horn, 5 inches tall, 5 1/4 inches deep with handle, no idea on maker, there is a closeup photo of stamping inside it, buyer pays actual shipping on 4.12 pounds.

Pewter Lidded Glass Stein w/VIP Emblem & Verse from One Drunken Sot to Another
This stein is made from heavy black glass. It stands 6 12 inches tall at the top of the glass. The base is 3 1/2 inches wide. While the base curves out at the bottom. The inside of the mug goes straight up and down, making it easy to clean. The mug has a VIP emblem printed on one side in golden lettering. On the opposite side. There's a poem that first talks about the wonderful love of a beautiful maid and ends up stating that there's no more infinite love than that of one drunken sot for another. It is printed in golden lettering also. The handle is easy to grasp and the pewter lid works smoothly and sits nicely on the top. There is no corrosion or discoloration on the lid. There are no chips or cracks.

Extensive decorative floral motif wriggle work engraving encircles the body as well as the lower portion of the lid. Engraved to the front is: Y. K. Worrlein 1871 I’ve seen this style flagon also identified as a‘ Kanne’ or‘ Schnabelstitze’ in various books and auction listings. The maker of this fine flagon was Master Christoph Friedrich Hohenner of Ansbach. Germany. His marks are stamped to both the underside of the lid and the interior base. reference Suddeutsche Zinngiesser I. Book 5, page 18 by Erwin Hintze) There are nice turning lines to the interior and exterior of the base. As well as a clear‘ linen mark‘ to the interior at the point of the lower(inclusive of desirable‘blowback’ handle join. General Condition: Excellent.
